Flame and Venom...

As Marcus trudged down the stair case of his house, he couldn't shake his mind out of the dream he had been in last night. It had been horrible. His bey, Combustion Fornax T90HB, had been fighting against rory's bey, a Vulcan Virgo 100MF, and had been winning, but out of nowhere, the stadium had started to crumble. Rory called Virgo back, just before it had used it's attack, escaping the bubbling Hole that had now formed in the crumbled area. Fornax and Marcus hadn't been so lucky. Just as Marcus was about to call back Fornax , the remainder of the stadium crumbled to the ground. A thick black sludge had splattered like a water ballon all over the floor, more coming from a gaping hole. The sludge enveloped Fornax, and knowing that he couldn't live without him, Marcus jumped in after it. It seemed like for even before the sludge cleared, but he had ended up in a blazing inferno,lava spouting even where, and saw Fornax being smelted by a a lava spout.
"Fornax, no!," screamed Marcus.
Then he had woken up. He had had Fornax in his hand, clutched in a death grip. As Marcus slumped into a chair in his living room, he couldn't help but think why Fornax had been swallowed by the sludge. Combustion was a metal wheel that was very thin, but had raised, smooth edges, for attack. This usually caused a wall of air around Fornax, like a firestorm, protecting it from debree and opposing bey attacks. But the sludge had sucked in Fornax, somehow.
"Hey, after all, it was only a nightmare, he had Fornax in the case in his bedroom, with his three segment grip, right spin launcher, and pointer. It was all safe. The phone rang. The caller id read, "Stone, Rory." Rory was a friend of his who did battle but was very cautious. He must be calling from his cell phone, probably from Battle Hall. Marcus picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Marcus, wanna come down to the Hall, there are a bunch of people, here and a bunch of them look pretty good, so I thought I'd call you."
"Sure, see you in fifteen."
Marcus bolted up to his room, grabbed his case and went out his front door. As he walked, he thought about himself and about Fornax's clear wheel, track and bottom.
Marcus had deep brown hair that wasn't to long in the back, but ran up to his bangs. His eyes were a sparkling hazel, and he always wore worn jeans, sneakers, a tee-shirt, and a unzipped jacket. Fornax's clear wheel, was fairly round and heavy. It had two wings of fire that ran opposite each other and ended with small etches of tornados. The T90 track, was a low profile track that could tilt. Not shift from side to side, like M145, but was hinged on one end. When tilted, a rod would come from the lower portion and push against the bottom The HB bottom was a ball tip that had a rubber flat surrounding it. When the T90 tilted, the rod pushed on the rubber flat, switching it into attack. Normally, he battled in defense mode, but was gaining experience with switching movement.
He had found the track and bottom in a store that was later closed down. It was the only one ever made, and tests had supposedly proven that the tilt portion of T90 couldn't be activated, but practicing with Fornax, he had figured it out. He had been battling Rory, and Virgo was coming in for an attack. Calling to Fornax, Marcus told it to counter, he had meant back off, and absorb Virgo's charge, but T90 had other ideas. It tilted and locked, and the RF of HB made Fornax zoom out of the way, turn around and send flying out of the stadium. Marcus had kept getting better, and soon was winning tournaments and nationals. He only used T90's ability, when needed, for he still needed to practice with it, but he had developed a bond with Fornax. As the electric door to the Battle Hall swung open, Marcus completely forgot his previous thoughts.
As Marcus's shoes squeaked aganist the tiled floor of the Battle Hall, he couldn't stop himself from admiring the building. The Battle Hall had once been an old indoor soccer field, but was closed to to disuse. The City of Sayakora had bought it and refurbished it, creating multiple rooms. One, a large practice room filled with fifteen small areanas where bladers could conduct one-on-one battles. Through a door in the back of the practice room, was a large ampitheater, which had enough seats to hold just over 250 people. In the center was a large stadium that was perfectly smooth. All the walls of the Battle Hall were painted a light blue, and had pictures of clashing beys. Marcus was headed to the Ampitheater. He and Rory always held small tournaments in there, and sometimes some interesting bladers popped up. As Marcus walked down the steps to the Stadium, he was suprised that at least 40 people were there. Rory was commenting on a current battle.
"And Trey's Tsunami Boa C230 TWD isn't going anywhere. No matter how many times Ray Byxis attacks."
"Thats right, now finish it Boa!," cried the boy named Trey.
The face of Boa seemed to glow, and large, glowing Boaconstricter slithered up from it. The bey began to speed around Byxis and then out of no where slammed into it, sending it flying up and out of the stadium.
"And that completes the last Battle of the first round! Next you will all face off aganist the random blader shown next your picture on the screen," announced Rory, "then you will do the same for the third round. After that, there will only be five of you left. I will announce the instructions after that."
As the second and third rounds pasted, Marcus was not suprised to see that Trey had made it to the top five.
"Now you five will be split into groups of two, the remaining one will battle Marcus, who has been hiding in the corner there for a while, but has not made his presence known. After that, the winner of each battle will move into the semi-finals. Marcus will wait for the winner at the finals."
Marcus walked down the remainder of the steps meet a girl named Marlean. Her bey, Poison Ketos 105 CS battled fiercely, and was coming in for the final blow. What Marlean didn't notice is that all of Ketos's attacks had had no effect on the rounded defensive edges of the Combustion Metal Wheel.
"Ketos, smack that bey right into his face!'
Ketos zoomed towards Fornax.
"Fornax, counter with Eruption Wall!"
Fornax dodged the attack made by Ketos, and came around, slamming into the 105 track, knocking Ketos out.
"And thats one of the battles of the Quarter Finals, now who's next?," Rory stated.
The winners of the other two matches were Trey and his Tsunami Boa, and a girl named Naomi with a Cyber Capricorn CH120 JB. No matter how much Capricorn pound at the Coil230 track, Boa wouldn't topple. Boa out spun Capricorn within about two minutes and Trey was moved to the finals.
"Now it seems theres some serious heat in here. Who will be the winner? Marcus or Trey, Boa or Fornax?," asked Rory.
"You must be pretty confident carrying that smirk around, huh?" asked Marcus to Trey.
"Maybe, or maybe I just want to have some fun."
"Theres always that."
"3,2,1, Go, SHOOT!"
The croud be hind the bladers roared with excitement and a multiple bangs and thumps came from the audience, though one seemed to come from the ceiling.
Both beys jumped into the areana, both headed for the center. Boa made it first, but Marcus had planned for this.
"Use your wait to slam into it, Fornax," yelled Marcus.
The T90 track was considerably heavy and could produce smash attack in the wheel without needing to actually tilt. Fornax came speeding down at slammed hard into the C230 track, sending Boa to the outer edges of the Stadium.
"Boa, dive and then bite!"
"What?"
Boa began to wobble almost on its TWD bottom and then seemed to disappear. A moment later it showed up again next to Fornax and smacked at it, sending it to the outer edges of the stadium.
"Ah, I get it," said Marcus, "alright then, Fornax, Inferno Predator!"
Fornax's T90 activated and locked, and Fornax began to smash into the C230 and TWD of Boa. Boa began to losse serious stamina.
Again, the croud yelled and creered, making Marcus grin.
"I'm not letting you beat me that easily! Boa, Influx!"
Boa began to speed around the stadium, and each time it completed a lap, it seemed to gain speed, soon regaining it' balance from the previous attack.
"Wait. There are small pertrusions that act like sails againist the wind. As boa creates wind gusts, by circling, it speeds it self up!"
From the ceiling again came a loud 'smack'.
"Man are you slow. I'm done with you. Boa, Venom Juggle!"
Suddenly, the C230 track collasped, changing the height of Boa to 145. It was like a snake coiling itself up. Then, Boa began to chase Fornax, repeadedly wobbling then catching the underside of the Combustion wheel, and then proceeding to throw Fornax into the air. Each time Fornax landed, small cracks appeared in the HB bottom
"If I don't quick, the HB bottom will break," mumbled Marcus.
"Your right, I mean, I don't want to break your HB, but its enevitable,
"Boa, Constricting Vortex!"
Boa came back and began to circle Fornax, getting closer and closer. Then out of nowhere, Boa smashed into Fornax and sent hurrling into the side of the stadium.
Marcus understood this attack. A Boaconstrictor wraps its prey up, suffacating it. Tsunami Boa circled the opposing bey like it was constricting it, and came in for the blow. But Marcus knew how to finish this.
"Ok, come and get me."
The T90 locked again, and Fornax shot around the stadium, Boa in hot pusuit. Then Boa, stopped and dove for the center. Marcus didn't expect this.
"Fornax, use your weight again!"
"I'm not falling for that a second time! Constricting Vortex!"
Boa dodged Fornax and circled, and sent it flying into the side of the stadium again. Then Marcus had another idea.
"Fornax, again with your weight!"
"Oh please..."
But as Boa beagn to circle, Marcus knew where it would strike from. Both the previous times, Boa had struck from the upper left. As soon as Marcus saw a tiny twitch inward in Boa's movement, he cried,
"Fornax, Inferno Predator, upper left!"
Both Beys collided fiercly, and caused an explosion. Marcus saw this as his chance.
"Fornax, Erupt!"
Fornax sped out of the smoke from the explosion and went straight up the side of the stadium. Fornax then seemed to sit in mid-air for a second. The Marcus cried,
"Fornax, Scrap Lava!"
Fornax began to come back down, its face glowing and a dragon made of lava and scrap metal replaced the bey. The bey began to spin even faster, and slammed into Boa's face. When the last of the smoke cleared, only Fornax was left still spinning.
Both bladers walked to shake hands in the center of the stadium.
"Good job," said Trey.
"You too," repiled Marcus, "we should do this again some time."
Just as Trey as was about to ask if they could be friends, a scratching noise came from the glass roof of the Ampitheater. As both Marcus and Trey looked up, it began to rain glass.

Evaporation (like water and heat)

"Gah!!!," screamed Trey, as glass landed on his cheeks and forehead.
Luckily, Marcus had been able to avoid the falling glass by dropping to the ground.
A hard CLINK made Marcus lift his head as the glass stopped falling. A bey was spinning incredibly fast in the center of the stadium.
Marcus looked around. All the bladers had cleared out, other than Rory, Trey, and him. Trey was clutching his face, blood dripping from his hands. Slowly standing up, Marcus looked at the bey in the stadium. It had been what had broken the glass. The bottom was MRB (Metal Rubber Ball), the track was a RRM145 (Rubber Ring Mine, a sheild 130, only 145, and is smooth so has no potential for recoil, with eight small holes on its under side), and metal wheel was a wheel like basalt, for it had no potenial for recoil, but was completly smooth and was thicker. An ominous voice echoed from the ceiling. Marcus looked, Rory reaching for his phone, and Trey trying to look up, having pulled the glass out of his face.
"You think your Boa, Virgo, or Fornax could beat me and my Carbon Hydra RRM145 MRB? Let's see."
Marcus was shocked. This guy looked to be about 14, like Trey, Rory, and Marcus, pale skin, green eyes, black hair, and was wearing kacky shorts, a green tee-shirt, and a black jacket that has a picture of his bey on it. And he wanted to battle right after he had, destroyed the roof of the Ampitheater, scaring the heck out of the other paticipants, and not to metion, punchering holes in Trey's face!
Marcus, furious, pulled out his orange bey launcher, snapped into his grip, and put Fornax on, silently.
"I'll take that as a yes," replied the other boy, "Just go ahead and launch at Hydra."
Marcus did exactly that, at full power, already yelling,
"Fornax, tilt!"
As Fornax flew towards Hydra, its T90 tilted, and it sped up, colliding with Hydra's face, sending it backwards.
"Interesting track, oh, and by the way, my name's Viron. Viron Doyano."
Marcus remained silent. Fornax had contiued to smash at Hydra, but with no avail. The RRM145 was absorbing all of the hits.
"Now, Hydra, Aqua Fang!"
Hydra bang to circle the stadium, Fornax right on its tail. Then Hydra's face lit up, and Sepent with multiple heads, seeming to made of water, emerged. Then the area between Hydra and Fornax expolded, causing Fornax to be shot upwards. This happened several times until Fornax was at risk of toppling over.
"Ok, it think thats enough torture. You'll topple it about ten seconds anyway..."
"Or will I?"
Fornax had begun to make flower pattern like movements, avoiding the explosions. As Hydra's explosions began to weaken and the time in between got longer, Marcus saw his chance.
"Fornax, use your weight.
Fornax used its weight and speed to try to slam into Hydra, yet Hydra dodged the attack. Marcus tried this once more, and fornax sped down the side of the stadium and came back around after Hydra dodged, and smashed into the RRM145, leaving a large dent in it.
"Oh,...so you want to play like that. Well have it."
"Sure."
Fornax began to repeadedly slam into the RRM145, but each time, Hydra seemed to take no recoil, and seemed to come back at Foranx with even more velocity then the prevoius atempt. It was like the creature from the Greek myths, each time one head of Hydra is cut off, two grow back in its place.
"Enough of this, Fornax, vertical."
When Marcus yells 'vertical', the T90 switches back from tilt and back to its vertical position.
"Good idea, but it won't be enough to beat Hydra. Carbon Hydra! Fog Breath!"
A plume of vapor erupted from the small holes located on the bottom of the RRM145 track, making it close to impossible to see the two beys.
"Hydra! Aqua Fang!"
Hydra's face lit up once more, and the Multi-headed water serpent appeared again, and making distict clanging sounds as it collided with Fornax. This also made it possible for Viron to see Hydra's movement.
"Wait. If the vapor came from the holes on RRM145, then the explosions must be from explosive mines that are shot from the holes as well!"
"It took you long enough...but even if you know, Fornax is going to loose."
"Well. anyway, Fornax isn't going down that easily. Fornax, Scrap Metal!"
Marcus expected Fornax to shoot up from the side oppisite him. But that wasn't case. At the last moment, Hydra bashed into Fornax, throughing Fornax into the walls above the pit.
"Ugh. That didn't work well..."
"Well, what'd you expect?" I watched your whole battle with Trey. I know how you battle. I know your style and you won't beat me."
"Oh really? Well try this on for size. Fornax, Switch Back!"
Switch Back was when Fornax when into defense, but as the opposing bey came to attack, it switched into attack and ended up with the more powerful attack. Fornax battered Hydra, causing serious recoil and pushing Hydra to the outer edge of the stadium.
"Well... good attack, but it will never be enough. I din't want to do this, but oh well. Hydra! Seismic Glacier!
Hydra shot mines out it all directions, followed by a wave of vapor, and mines and so on.
"Now I'm the one saying 'oh please.' I know how to counter both of those. Fornax, use your weight, only in an eliptical pattern!"
Fornax, used its weight to shift from each corner of the stadium to another, slowly whipping away the vapor.
"Fnally, nw, Fornax, Imploding Furnace!"
Fornax sped around the stadium to the side oppisite Hydra, its face lighting up, the lava and metal dragon appearing once more. Then completly oppisite Hydra, who was still on the edge of the stadium, Fornax exploded and jumped, spinning even faster, and slamming Hydra clear out of the stadium. Viron had become over confiedent in Hydra's abilities, and ended up not knowing what to do as Fornax KO'd Hydra.

"You lost focus after you became over confiedent. But you are an amazing blader."
"I'm outta here, Marcus I'm sorry, but I just called my mom about this incident, but she says we're moving! Sorry, by!," yelled Rory as he ran out the door.
"Ok..."
"Well, I tend to get overconfiedent but I get very excited," Viron said dressingly.
"Well, you could have made a better impression if you had walked through the door, not put holes in my face........"
And with that Trey collapsed on the floor.
"Dang it. Man, why did you have to break the ceiling? Now we have to get Trey to the hospital."
Picking up the unconsious Trey, Marcus sprinted up out of the Ampitheater and out of the Battle Hall.
"Hey! Wait up!," shoued Viron towards Marcus, chasing after him.
As Marcus sat in the waiting room at Sayakora hospital, he wondered about Rory. Rory had literally spoke faster than Marcus could hear, but he had heard 'moving' in his ramblinging.
"I wonder what that was all about?"
"Well, you may never find out," said Viron sitting down next to Marcus.
"Hey, so what was that whole thing about breaking the roof?"
"Well, I over slept this morning and only manged to get to the Hall during your battle with that girl named Marlean. I figured to was to late enter, so i thought after you won, I'd challenge you, but I wanted to make an awesome entrance. I didn't exactly think about the falling glass..."
"Well, the nurse said just a little blood lose, he should be fine tomorrow. Oh. And some battling tips. You did get a little overconfiedent. You underestimated me. That was what resulted in your defeat. Next time, try not to get overconfiedent."
"thanks. I used to be the best in my neighborhood. That's when I got overconfiedent. I always won my battles. When saw the post Rory had put up, I knew this was my chance to get better."
"k. I understand. Well, I'm going to head home now, but I be by here tomorrow at 1:00p.m. That's when they'll release Trey."
"I think I'll stay overnight, since I'm the one who caused those cuts..."
"Alright then, see ya."
"See ya, Marcus."

Viron was woken up from his nap by a strange hissing that came from the hallway next to him. Groaning and in pain, Viron left the waiting room and walked down the hallway, past Trey's room to the end, then turned on his heels, and began to walk back. He was then struck by a bey square on the forehead. He slumped unconscious to the floor. The sound of Viron collapsing caused Trey to wake up. Curious, he slow opened the door to find Viron laying on the ground.
"What the heck is this?, muttered Trey.
Then, as Trey had hoisted Viron over his shoulder, he saw a circular object come millimeters from his face. Dashing into the room, Trey threw Viron on bed, realizing he wasn't waking up anytime soon, grabbed Boa and slowly walked back to the door.
There was no mistaking what Trey had saw. That was a bey, no doubt. Trey put Boa on his launcher and waked out of the door. He was immediately shot at again by the bey. But Trey noticed something. The bey moved like it was swimming, liked a water creature.
"Sorry about how late it is, but I was unable to enter until I knew it was safe."
Trey jump upwards and nearly screamed. He had not seen anybody until now. A cloaked figure stood at the end of the hallway.
"What do you want? You scared the living daylights outta me!"
"To battle of course...I'm not surprised Marcus beat you."
Trey, without thinking launched his bey, screeching,
"Get it Boa!!!"
Boa landed and sped towards the strangers bey, which was now moving around in a wavy pattern. Boa sped after it, but was unable to keep up, for it weighed less than the other bey. The other bey then began to smash into Boa with tremendous force.
"What is that?"
"Thats my bey, Tidal Delphin WA145RB."
Tidal was very similar to Vulcan, but the ends of the prominent sides stuck out straight, and the smaller wings weren't there, instead, there were small wave patterns. Delphin described the Delphinus constellation and showed two dolphin tails ending in white capped waves. WA145 was more prominent then WA130 and there for severed better pupose against lower beys. RB was rubber bounce and was similar to quake but bounced when enough force was created, otherwise it moved like and RF.
This was a serious bey to deal with. A stamina type as good as Boa was not supposed to stand up to an attack type, especially not one

Tsunami


"So, do you think Delphin can't be beat. Well, your right. Delphin will never loose, especially not to some tiny little reptile."
"Boa, dive then bite!"
Boa began to wobble on its TWD and then disappeared. A moment later, it reappeared next Delphin, with its track have gone from 230 to 145. It began to pry its metal wheel aganist Delphins clearwheel, but to no avail.
"Boa, switch back to 230 and back off!"
The cloaked figuer had been waiting for this.
"Delphin, attack!"
"Boa, back to 145 and flee!"
Boa dropped back to 145 and began to speed around the hall, barely avoiding Delphin's attack. But Delphin wasn't done. It changed direction and collided with Boa, causing enough recoil make Boa begin to wobble. Delphin continued to beat at Boa, until Trey called out to it.
"Boa, Influx!"
Boa changed direction again, narrowly avoiding Delphin and began to make a figure-eight pattern, catching itself in its own wind currrents, boosting its speed back to normal.
"Now that thats over with, Boa, Venom Juggle!"
Boa sped after Delphin, which was slowing down, and wobbled so low, that is was able to catch the Tidal metal wheel with the wave patterns on its metal wheel. But it was not able to toss Delphin into the air, like it had done with Fornax, but only caused spin reduction to itself.
"You see, like the Vulcan wheel, Tidal is smooth, but the Tidal wheel is slick and has little friction, which is what you need to use that move."
Boa changed back to 230, and centered itself in the center of the hallway, hoping that Delphin would fall for a chance to constrict it.
Delphin did fall for it. It charged straight at Boa, and Boa followed, using its track to stop Delphin. Then it began to circle.
"Boa, faster!"
Boa circled even faster, and then out of nowhere, it slammed into Delphin, sending flying, and crashing aganist an overhead, light, shattering it. The hall went dark. Even in the dim light, Trey could tell that the figures expression had changed. When he spoke his voice cracked.
"You-u are stronger than I thought. Maybe I should think of you, Viron, or Marcus as weak, only mediocre."
Trey would not loose his cool to someone like this.
"Boa, once more!"
Boa began to edge Delphin on, and then returned to the center of the hallway. Delphin came at it again, but tried to avoid Boa's attempt to stop it, but was caught.
"Boa, even faster than before!"
Boa began to circle even faster than before. Trey had only tried his a couple times before, but it had worked 6 out of 10 times. The speed that Boa was traveling at was fast enough so that it caught up with the wind currents from its previous loop, creating a pocket of air that began to form a vortex. The wind was traveling counter clockwise and started to cause Delphin to loose volocity. Then Boa began to spin even faster. The air started to lift Delphin into the air.Boa then JUMPED out of its own current, Delphin still suspended, shot down the hall. As Delphin began to fall, Boa shot back down. The objective of this was to catch the opposing bey before it hit the ground, and the lack of speed plus the momentum from Boa would send Delphin flying into the wall. But that was not what happened.
Boa came speeding towards Delphin, ready to strike, but at the last moment, the figure cried out,
"Delphin Aqua Wing Throw!"
The reinforced 'wings' or 'fins' of WA145 caught the Tsunami wheel and using the remaider of it's spin power, threw Boa aganist the wall. Boa had stopped spinning. The figure had won.
"Nice job, but you only moved up to 'decent' in my list," the strangers voice cracking once more. It sounded very familar, as if he had heard it earlier....
But before Trey could think of a comeback, the plaster of the ceiling above him began to crack, and suddenly shattered, a teenage boy with green hair, green eyes, green jacket, black jeans, green shoes falling to the floor. He landed on his feet, a launcher grip in his hands, and his bey, Cyber Unicorno MF145GB. He launched it directly at the Tidal Delphin WA145MRF that had been headed for Trey, ready to take him out, right after his bey.
"Unicorno, Cyber Shot!"
Unicorno began to turn a brilant gold, and the smashed into Delphin with amazing speed. Delphin was sent crashing into the oppisite wall, through the brick wall on the outside and plummeting to the fountain in the garden below.
"You'll regret that, Takeru! I swear it!" The cloaked figures voice cracked one last time. The figure jumped through a window, and dived towards the courtyard fountain.
"Th-thank y-ou . I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't showed up."
"Thank me later. And by the way, names Takeru, and this is my bey, Cyber Unicorno."
"good to meet you, but could you tell me what to to do about Viron?"
"I would stay with him tonight and make sure to close all the other pantients blinds, and yours, plus i would lock your door, AND let him sleep on the floor."
I a flash, the boy named Takeru was gone.

Foreshadowed Fugitives



Trey woke up early the next morning, Boa and his launcher on the bed side table. He hadn't slept well, he kept fretting over if the cloaked stranger would return. He had lost that battle even with his new move, Constricting Tsunami Whirlwind. It had worked, but that bey....Tidal Delphin WA145RB. He had almost won. Almost. But no. He leaned over the side of the bed and looked down on Viron. Hey was the guy who had put holes in his face, but he had ended up unconscious while checking on Trey. Viron was lucky all he ended up with was a bump on his head. Trey sat in utter silence for about a minute, and made a horrible realization, just as Marcus walked in.
"Hey Trey, I brought you some breakfast, but...Why is Viron on the ground?"
Trey told Marcus everything that occurred last night, including his realization.
"My gosh, I never heard of a bey like that. I wonder if I could have....Wait!! did you say Rory was the cloaked figure?!!!!"
"I'm really sorry Marcus, but there was no denying who that voice belongs to. That's probably why he made up that excuse, that he was moving in the duration of your and Viron's battle.
"Hey about that, I think when you get outta here later today, you and Viron Should have a battle. I would fun to see who'd win, assuming that Viron has over come his over confidence issues."

Trey was still very cautious as he, Viron and Marcus left the hospital. Delphin and Rory scared him. And that was unusual. That bey had almost no spin left in it, but it managed to some how throw Boa crashing through the wall. Next time he faced Rory, he would not loose. But what frightened him the most, was he had used a special move, and Rory hadn't. Delphin had trumped Constricting Tsunami Vortex with little effort. What was that beys full ability? Trey's thoughts were interrupted by Marcus.
"So I've been thinking. Imthink you two ought to battle. It would be a lot of fun to see."
"Alright! I'm on when your on, Trey!," shouted Viron, already running towards the Beypark in the center of town. Trey and Marcus ran after him.
The beybpark was about two square acres and had over 75 small bey arenas, a large stadium in the middle with A digital sign up list. The list was controlled by a computer that the digital list and then raised the bleachers and called out the next group. In the beginning, you take a retna scan, and that's how your identified. The list was blank today, and both Viron and Trey both eagerly signed up. The computer soon uttered their names.
Trey walked slowly to the right side of the stadium, Viron to the left. Trey had witnessed only some of Viron and Matcus's battle, due the glass in his face, where as Viron witnessed all of his battle. He'd have to fight differently now, with more Power, in order to beat a defense type like Hydra.
Alright, here we go, thought Viron. He was unsure how Trey would fight, because he knew Trey knew that Viron had been watching.
Marcus stepped up to a small podium, and called out to the spectators, whom there were quite a few of, and said,
"Beypark bladers, today, we are here to watch an epic battle between Tsunami Boa C230TWD and Carbon Hydra RRM145MRB!"
Viron repeated in his head, 'don't underestimate'.
"3,2,1, Go, Shoot!"
Boa and Hydra shot towards the center of the stadium, making contact in mid air. Boa dropped downwards, and landed spinning in the center, and Hydra kept going and began to partially circle the semi center of the stadium. The spectators roared.
"Boa, drop to 145, and then Venom Juggle!"
Trey was already on the attack, Boa dropping height and speeding towards Hydra. Boa tilted downwards and slammed into Hydra with it's metal wheel. But Boa was bounced back by the power absorbing 'ring' of RRM145. Boa tried once more, but to no avail. Boa tried for one last time, and disaster struck. The Tsunami metal wheel got caught between RRM145 and the Carbon wheel. Boa was loosing stamina fast.
"Hydra, Aqua Fang!"
A large, multiple-headed serpent appeared,seeming to be made of water. The Serpent roared, and mines shot of the RRM145 track. boa kept loosing stamina, and was unable to break free. Then, Trey had an idea.
"Boa, switch back to 230!"
Boa's C230 changed height again, lifting Hydra off the ground. Hydra was gargantuan in weight compared to Boa, but Hydra's spin velocity began to decline. Yet, Boa began to wobble.
"Ugh, you pretty foolish. Your bey is about to topple, and I'll break free."
Trey had been waiting for this. As Boa wobbled, it would soon make contact with the stadium floor, but the first contact point was going to be Hydra. But then Trey had a better idea.
"Boa, dive, then bite!"
Boa began to wobble even more and Hydra hit the floor. The metal wheel began grind away. Then, boa disappeared. Very soon though, Hydra reappeared, flipping need over end, and barley still spinning. Boa had disappeared and then sped up the side of the stadium, dragging Hydra against the bottom of the stadium. Hydra soon broke free, but had suffered from serious damage.
Boa re-emerged, almost unharmed, but as a precaution, Trey yelled, Influx,
Then... A Bey shot downwards from the sky and slammed into the center of the stadium creating a huge crater and sending both Boa and Hydra flying into the sky, and falling outside of the stadium. The spinning in the center was Boreal Cygni DW120EWF. It spun perfectly in the crater, until a cry from the air sounded like an alarm.
"Unicorno! Cyber Shot!"

The voice could only be that of Takeru. And a glowing silver Unicorn followed the command, slamming into Cygni but to no avail. The two beys clashed until Trey finally said something.

"Um,...Takeru we were having a battle! And I don't even know who this other person is...so, what the heck is going on?"

"Oh, sorry Trey, and I didn't mean to leave so suddenly the other night. Had something to do, but... This is Kairo Yukiba, and his bey, Cyngi."

"Nice to meet you Kairo, and you too Takeru," said Marcus and Viron, while Trey said hello to Kairo.
"So do you guys battle often?"
"No actually, i came to look for you, Trey, but I had battle takeru before and couldn't resist a rematch. But I'm glad I made it."
"Well its an honor to meet you and that you want to challenge me. But, for what purpose?"
"Um, Takeru, you didn't tell him? Why?"
"I told you, and them, that I had to do something!"
"Alright, guys, sit down by that fountain over there. Then we'll talk."
The five of them all sat down at the fountain, while Kairo began to tell a story. It went like this;

"As you all know, there have been many organizations through out the world the world that have set goals to conquer the world or reign suppior over the rest of the Beyblade community. But they have all been vanquished. But a new threat will arise long after any of these masterminds. This group will consist of cloaked figures and a master who does most of the dirty work. This group is extremely powerful and will stop at nothing to reach there goals. There is supposed to be group of bladers that will be chosen by fate to stop this threat. The spirits of their beys are in order the leader of this resistance; Fornax, Boa, Hydra, Unicorno, Cygni, Army and others (that have not been translated). They face this power Head Strong, while this threat consumes the bey government. But two will perish in this task, but they are the ones who will prevail the most," and Kairo's voice faded away...

Hiding

This next part is told best in first person, so by Marcus-----

I picked up a small scrap of newspaper that had land at my feet. It read;

"A new president has finally been elected to represent the Beyblade community here in the city. We are looking forward to this new manager, because he was part of the community and knows what they want. Any questions or comments regarding the new president or the speech he plans to give tonight can be given to his secratary at the newly converted Town Center Request Hall. Thank you and keep reading the Rotate Times."

I set down the paper and slowly stood up.
"So Kairo, this Army blader, who is he, and quite frankly, who the the heck are you?"
"I'm sorry for my sudden intrusion on your groups battle. I'm a lone blader and I've been following recent activity I noticed around town. I had once been a resident at the local orphanage and found Cygni in a safe behind my bed.. But thats another story for another time. But I was wandering around one day, and saw beys come flying from an allyway. I peaked around the corner and saw a group of at least five men in black trench coats fleeing the scene. The next thing I noticed was three men that belonged to the Battle Hall Co. fall to the ground. Out of his pocket rolled a piece of parchment that had a wax seal, something used as a symbol of importance or sometimes secrecy. I picked it up and read it. It was all in Latin. Using a text book I stoll from another member of the orphanage, I manage to translate the first few bey names and part of the legend. I had battled Takeru earliar, and realized maybe he new these other bladers were. Takeru led me you guys."
As Kairo stopped talking a small beep started off from underneath a bench next to the fountain. It began to get faster, then stopped. Yet as it did, a whirring sound replacing it. I looked over. A small device had popped off the bottom and had begun to fly towards the horizon. It was recording device. It had heard everything that Kairo and the rest of us had just dicussed.
"After it!," I shouted.
Fornax, Boa, Hydra, Unicorno, and Cygni shot into the air, seeming to fly like jet airplanes. I ran down the side walk and through the streets. Almost getting hit by a car, I jumped on to the top of a mini van parked next to the auning of a floral shop. The others were right behind me. Kairo and Takeru seemed to be having trouble though, since they had just come running from a battle. We were now on the roof top of the buildings that were leading north towards the Battle Hall. Fornax and Boa were now pushing each other on, and same with Hydra an Unicorno plus Cygni. they were all now gaining on the device. Then, without warning, split second, I saw it dive below the edge of a building. But not just any building. The last building on the street. But our beys shot off the ledge of the building and flew after the device and landing on the ground, all five beys bearing down on the small piece of spy technology. I wasn't so lucky. I didn't notice the drop off until the last second, and unlike American cartoons, you don't stop in midair. I came hurtling towards the ground and landed on my feet. To an extent of the phrase. I land on my feet and then my knees came crashing afterward. I yelled out in pain but stood up.
"Fornax, bring that thing to me."
Fornax tilted and threw the device towards me where caught it and crushed it in my hand, but saving the recording portion of it. I played it back and found a recording of the battle between Trey and Rory.
"So you think my Delphin is going to win...."
"If they had this much then they have read this 'prophecy' before you obtained it, Kairo," hearing several footfalls behind me. As I looked up, the monitor of the battle hall, which we had just scene yesterday, lit up with a mans face.
"Hello beyblade community." He looked to be approximalty 15. "I am happy to announce that new regulatons, from out new presindent are about to go into affect. First; No bladers, no exceptions, are allowed to enter the ampitheater of the Battle Hall. Second; Bladers will be given ranks, and you can only battle those that have agreed to battle you. Video camera will fly around the city from now on and monitor you make sure that you all do not battle outside the Hall. Third; and final today; These balders are outlawed. They have challenged the Beyblade community and what it stands for. They are, Marcus Sayoto, Trey Cusona, Viron Donayo, Takeru, Kairo Yukiba, and this individual, whose name is not known, but looks like this. A picture of a teenager appeared wearing a gold teeshirt.

From the Perspective of Trey. Not first person or anything, but from his mindset.

Trey's head was spinning. Who was the guy in the gold t-shirt? Why and how are we fugitives? What did we do? And does have anything to do with the battle I had with Rory?
"Trey."
Why did this happen? How?
"Trey!!"
"sorry Marcus, I guess I dozed off."
"No matter, what we need to do is get out of here and fast."
"May I say something?"
"yeah, sure Kairo."
"Well, Viron told you about what he saw as he fell into the Battle Hall, right?"
"Yeah, kinda," I said, turning to give Viron a scowl.
"Well, I heard all the commotion, and checked out the area he jumped from. Up there is a hatc that leads to an annex, that is connected all the other parts of the building by stairs. It also is filled with the wiring for the entire building."
"Well, I think we outta go. It sounds like the only and best choice we have," I said, yet I felt a ping of doubt about hiding in an annex or attic, whatever. What if it was the way employees accessed the roof. They'd surely be caught.
"I agree," said Marcus, " let's go."
The group turned around, and fell silent. In fronton them was a group of bladers, cloaked in black robes and hoods, with a taller blader in front. As soon as I made eye-contact, he shouted, " Go Delphin!"

Tidal Delphin Came flying towards them like a bullet. They dodged it and ran. It seemed like forever before they managed to out run the group of bladers. As the group of five walked towards the back entrance of the Battle Hall, Trey couldn't help but wonder what awaited them at the attic. They reached the back door, which was locked with a padlock. Trey was first to move.

"Go, Boa!"

Boa went flying off Trey's launcher and shattered the lock in a second.

"Nice Trey," said Marcus. The group enter the Battle Hall.
What awaited them was a long and dark hallway. Having no source of light, the group walked cautiously towards a small and growing light at the end. To the right, Trey felt with his hand a door with label he could barley read. 'stairs'

"I found it. The way to the attic. On the right."

The group climbed two flights of stairs, and were soon at yet another door marked attic. Viron slowly reached for the handle. As the door opened, a medium sized room was revealed containing 5 boxes about the size of a car tire, and a couch, as well as way to many throw pillows, enough for the bladers live in a little comfort. Marcus was the first to enter the room. He walked over to one of the 5 boxes, and opened it.

"Well, we've got pillows, and now blankets," he said, while tipping over the box and spilling it's contents on the surprisingly emaculate floor. Trey wLked to the four boxes and opened them up, one by one.

"Look at all of this stuff! We've got Bottoms, tracks, 4D bottoms, and 4D metal wheels! We can do so much with all these parts. Let customize our beys, now!"

The went Marcus, Trey, Viron, Takeru, Kairo, taking new parts based on the performance they desired from their beys.

As a Bey Spins, The World Spins, And they both Change


Marcus' Combustion Fornax T90HB became Smoldering Fornax R:R the clear wheel staying the same. The Smoldering metal wheel was composed of a black PC frame that had small ridged edges that resembled smoldering paper. The Metal Frame was very similar to the metal frame of Jade. It had four protruding pieces that were, unlike Jade, shaped like small flames. The Core was composed of four eve smaller flames, that when rotated, could cover the small gaps between the the larger flames, or sit below them, similar to BiG Bang The PC frame could do the same. If rotated,it could cover the gaps or sit behind the flames. R:R stood for Rapid Ricochet. It was a XRF, or Extreme Rubber Flat that when commanded, could retract or deploy two Longer RF's from it's side, allowing when it made contact with otherbeys or the stadium side, to rebound or ricochet.

Boreal Cygni became Twister Cygni SLW145W2F. Twister was 4D wheel composed of a metal frame and core, no pc frame. The 'twister' came from the patterns of 4 side ways tornado that bordered each other like the Earth Metal wheel, one going to the north and one going to the south on both sides. The clear wheel became to feathered wings on each side that coincided with the metal wheel. Each pair of wings formed the wing span of a bird, the intersecting point being the head of a swan. The core much resembled the core of Jade, but the out-cropings that that came from it coves the gaps that were left by the metal frame. But these out cropings were shaped like the wing of a bird, and could be pulled out, disengaging a lock and then turned 180 degrees to accommodate for the ability of Twister Cygni to spin both left and right. SLW145 was Slice Wing 145, and was very similar to both DW120, Cygni's old track, and UW145. It was very similar to S130, but was composed of 4 bird wings that were bent back to touch the tip of the next. Each wing also had jagged edges, like feathers to add smash attack against lower beys. It could also retract on commanded, forming a AD145 track, and gaining more stamina. The track was similar to BD145 because it could be popped out and replaced to be left and right spin. W2F was similar to WF as it was very wide, but it had a rubber coating on the rim, to allow it to gain some grip in order for special launches.

Cyber Unicorno mf 145gb became Shock Monoc Z.D Monoc was the twin clear wheel of Unicorno, and was made of four unicorno horns, and the face depicted a White unicorn, representing the constellation Monoceros. Shock had two modes, Barrage and Rebound. The wheel was composed of 8 lightning shaped protrusions(sideways). Inside of the core it was revealed that the eight protrusions were hallow, but 4 were just gaps, and could be filled by the metal frame. by removing the bright red Pc frame, the springs inside the metal frame retracted, and revealed 8 lightning shape protrusions, not hallow, but 4 made of metal, and 4 made of Rubber. By removing the Pc frame, and turning the metal frame, it could alternate between barrage, all metal, and rebound, rubber, the rubber being the really bounce kind of rubber. Z.D stood for Zap Drive and was a 4D Bottom that instead of being one contact point, was a wide metal ball that was composed of four miniature quake bottoms, but had small gaps running between them, thus allowing the bey to jump and mov around and striking the opponent like a bolt of lightning. If the bey was stopped and turned over, Two little tabs could be pushed, pushing the smaller contact points together, forming a wide metal ball.

Tsunami Boa became Trench Boa CC190DWD. The face of Trench Boa was a Navy Blue face that depicting the Serpent constellation with a green Boa Constrictor head. The clear wheel was now light blue with three green Boa constrictors circling it like the horns of the Unicorno clear wheel. Trench as a 4D metal wheel was similar to burn, but close to the weight of Basalt, and had four modes. The wheel was made of a Pc frame and Metal Frame and Core. The Core had three smaller portrusins like those on fang as well as three on the metal frame, and could be grouped in pairs of two and the pc frame had three. By grouping the ones on the core and metal frame together, and then by having the Pc frame face down, it would create a wheel with no gaps. But if you flipped the Pc frame over, it would create a gap, allowing a small amount of smash attack, and more defense to the clear wheel. But if the metal frame was taken off, you coul push on the bottom its three portrusions and they would slide up with the pc frame, and then you could have the pc frame's two modes, creating four different possible modes. CC190 was Constric Circle 190 and was silimlar to BD145, but wider. If popped off and made to face up, it had a wall on it that would protect the 4D metal wheel. If popped off and faced down, it would act like the body of a Boa, catching other beys and holding them under the track, causing a sleep out to the other bey. It could also drop to the height of 105. DWD stood for Death Wide Defense. It was a Wide Defense bottom, but had a ring of purple rubber that on when CC190 dropped to 105, it would lower this ring and assume an attack pattern, using the CC190(105) to deal smash attack.

Carbon Hydra became Mulack Hydra M:R. Mulack was similar to the metal wheel Beat except it was almost twice as thick, and the smaller out cropping could be pushed in and pulled, out and they extended farther. Another diffence is th PC frame had four modes, where it could be over the spaces left by th out croppings, upside down over the out croppings, over the out croppings when they were extended, or upside down not over the out cpopping, like the attack of Beat. M:R stood for Mine Revive. It was similar to F: D, but the circle in this case was plastic, and the pop out tip was of a mixture between metal and rubber. if activated, it would pop out and allow Hydra to move at a faster rate than before, nad this could be activated spontainously as well, to make fast get-ways.
