anyone getting this?
i am for christmas, with wii speak so i can talk to my friends on christmas day! Joyful_3

some people think the animal crossing game is pointless but it's just good fun and a break from guns and killing, i spend my life on the DS one xD
Also known as Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Don't want it. Hear it's the exact same as the DS one. Didn't care for Animal Crossing anyways. Really don't care for the Wii.
let's not
I don't like playing games I can't win...

I tried the GC one and got bored, QUICKLY.
i'm guessing your all, mostly, xbox 360 people Tired
what a dissapointment;_;
nothing to do with the 360

i just like "games"
lol me a 360 person... hehe, me likes the High-Def gaming, just another console.

all my friends are xbox 360 nerds, they're all like "GamerScore!" and i'm there like Chocked_2 Chocked_2 Chocked_2 WTF! i decided to be different and get a wii, i don't exactly go for hardcore games either so it's the perfect console (no offence to ninty)

I bought Animal Crossing for the Gamecube. I didn't like it at all - I played it on the day I got it and ended up not playing it since. So I didn't bother getting it for the DS and I don't see myself getting this either.

Mind you I never really understood the whole concept......can anyone tell me what I was actually supposed to be doing? Uncertain
I like Animal Crossing, but I'm not getting the next one until I beat the first.
I liked Animal Crossing: Wild World on DS and I spent a lot of time playing it, but I've just got franchise fatigue. It doesn't help that Nintendo has done absolutely nothing to differentiate City Folk from the original Gamecube game or the DS game.

Ditto. I rember talking to Brad about this, that same conversation reminded me of why I stopped buying pokemon games after DP.

Yeah pretty much. Here's what I posted on Joystiq about it:

It's sad, because I was a huge fan of Animal Crossing, but just because I enjoyed the formula previously doesn't mean I will enjoy the same formula rehashed again.

There are so many places they could go with Animal Crossing. Imagine how cool it would be if towns were composed of both players and NPCs, and instead of being a human you could pick an animal and customize it. (Of course, everyone would be Bob.) The world needs to be much bigger, with forests and mountains and caves to explore. Perhaps make a "planet" with multiple towns, and you could explore the planet and meet other people from different towns. New equipment like pickaxes so you could go mining in caves. Haunted forests where you could talk to ghosts and play games with them. And why are there not more social events in this game? There's just too much time where there's nothing to do.

Essentially I'm saying take Animal Crossing and AC: Wild World and Harvest Moon 64 and multiply it all by 10.

What made Animal Crossing initially so exciting was the sense of freshness and exploration and wonder. While I can see this new game being interesting for people who've not played the series before, for those of us that have played the previous two installments, City Folk is just more proof that Nintendo has become stagnant and comfortable to rest on its laurels as its profits increase.

that is a good idea Joyful_3 you should be able to live in the city aswell

nintendo have done the same with harvestmoon games, the gamecube one was the same as the wii one. but i think the new one coming out for wii is ment to be better, you can customise your wife and children! lol
i think it's out in america already though, ENGLAND GET EVERYTHING LATE!

even though the animal crossing games are the same as the GC and DS one, i feel obliged to buy it somehow. pointless games are amazing! (if that makes sence)
nintendo doesn't make harvest moon
