AR: Driger G
WD: Magnet
BB: Driger V2
SP: Voltaic Ape

This one's really quite solid, it has a lot of force behind it if the tip is used for attack. But because it's so heavy it loses easily to pure endurance.
If I change the weight disk to a lighter one I think it could lose too much of its defense.

To be honest, I'm not even sure how to categorise it...
The base isn't quite right for Heavy/Attack and it doesn't have enough endurance for Defense/Endurance.

At the moment I think it has potential with a few part changes to excel in different areas.

Any suggestions as to what I can do with it, and if it's even considered any good?
Even with the weight, Customize "Metal" Change BB isn't very defensive to begin with, so you might wanna try 10-Wide there instead for higher movement speed and better smash potencial in attack mode. Should last slightly longer as well, even if it only has a 1g difference in weight.

Upper Dragoon AR is good too, if you're more concerned about defense than attack, the wings cover a larger area of the WD (work better if the spikes are worn out/rounder). I'd leave MG WD here and try HMC too, even if it looks too heavy now.
I guess it's more of a problem with this BB, since it doesn't have as good endurance as it may seem.
What type of bases should I be looking at to make it more of either an attacker or defender?
I would generally prefer to throw in wide defence on this type of customization. It is reminiscent of the Upper Dragon/Wide Defence/Defence Ring form. This base should actually be fine for this purpose, and in any case, you don't really have much other choice.

If you want this to be an attacker, use Customize Grip Base, with either the stock grip tip that comes with it. If you feel more aggressive, either use Customize Grip Change, or Customize Bearing with BearingSG2 shaft in FreeShaftSG, but note that both of these have very poor survival.

If you want more of defence or survival, you can go with the classic Upper Dragon/Wide Defence/Defence Ring/Bearing tip form. This AR is more aggressive than what I would prefer for this type of custom, though.

I like to see this part being used more, as an alternative to upper dragon.
Yep, go with Upper Dragon instead of Driger G's AR.

Another thing with the BB is that it has a metal tip. Since there's less friction between itself and the stadium surface, it can be knocked around more.
Higher spin rate of metal tip is fun, though.

Oh btw, has anyone confirmed if this metal tip is identical to that of Voltaic Ape? I recall some time back I took both of them out to compare, but I can't remember the results...

Identical how? If it's shape, they're different. VA is metal sharp, although movement seems somewhat between sharp and semi-flat. DG V2 has a typical metal change angled tip, whose attack mode only really works in TAKARA stadiums when launched into the tornado ridge.

Driger V2's attack mode doesn't seem very aggressive to me. I think the angle change is very slight- if you swapped the two I doubt it'll be very obvious that something was changed.
Hmm, no, I've not managed to get the Voltaic Ape base to do quite so much attack.

A better comparision would be Driger V2 and S tips; my metal change is far from mint.

My father took the image with his Micro camera to make it clearer.

Yes, I've noticed this too. Triggering attack mode with Customize Change is tougher than with other Metal Change bases, but it's still way different than VA. On a TAKARA stadium, if you do it right, it still moves really fast. On a Hasbro one though, VA's BB moves around more, while Customize Change stays mostly in the same spot.
Alright thanks.
