ok thx
Does anyone else notice that when a moderator posts about closing a thread, and it's the last post in that thread that you can't like it (sorry, if this is the wrong place to ask this)?
I used the "contact us" function of this forum... anyone knows if it'll be answered??

It should be, but, I don't truly know. Funnily enough, the "Contact Us" button doesn't work for me, haha.
It’s direct email link, so it wouldn’t work unless you had a default email client or website set up on your device, haha.

We’ve been a little preoccupied lately, sorry! We’ll check our inbox for your message @[Bersilus] as soon as possible!

Oh, I understand now (though how to set a default email client is still foreign to me, hah). Thank you for answering my question! And, I understand you guys being busy, you're running the site along with you guys lives, hah.

Question:

Do we have an official video demonstrating how to play Deck in Burst?

I could ask the same thing about every format type used by the WBO but it appears to me, on the surface, that Deck (in burst) is the most opaque.

Wombat made a really good video explaining Deck Format on his channel here:

Very nice! Thanks for pointing that out TJ, and thanks for making the vid Wombat. Awesome!

One thing I really, really like about that video is how Wombat commentates on the demonstration match. He's basically telling the audience what each player is doing - taking note of all their decisions, whether they choose a rematch, whether they decline to switch, etc. This is something which very often gets lost in the tournament videos we see on the WBO, largely because they're just a record of what happened and not academic in any way. The canny observer can still follow what is happening (when switches occur, etc.) but it can become pretty confusing after five rounds and multiple matches. I've noticed some youtube peeps using text titles for essentially the same purpose - but I think the voiceover really adds a more accessible dimension to the battle and the format as a whole.

Watching tournament videos of Deck (and reading tournament reports) is fast becoming my favourite thing to do with the morning cup of coffee, and after seeing Wombat's video, I'm thinking it'd be awesome to see a little more hand-holding in these videos/reports. I mean, just watching the demonstration match by Wombat makes the format far more obvious than reading the rules. For one, the rules require... Reading.

That said, though I realise Wombat's video isn't exactly WBO stylised, I reckon we need to sticky this video somewhere (and maybe update it for the new systems?). It just makes the whole learning process so much easier. Deck is one of the best things to ever happen to Beyblade - and it'd be nice to make its uptake as smooth as possible.

See, this is one of those times where I could be an absolute piece of carp and say something like "what the hell, why are you posting my video without my permission?" but fortunately, I'm a decent person who just appreciates the fact that the video is being appreciated and getting views.  Joyful_3

Thank you! It is a bit out of date though, now that non-contact bursts are only worth 1 point (though that rule change is kinda my fault Tongue_out). I just wish that competitive content was a bit more viable on YouTube, since I'm sure there's an audience for it out there somewhere...
We should actually make a video for that for the WBO's YouTube channel ... hey, @[TrainiacJ] let's get on that haha.

And I do think there is an audience for competitive content as our recent Beyblade Review videos have demonstrated, but it does seem much smaller than the audience which is around for things like simple unboxing or stock battles. It's certainly something we wanted to try and combat with our Beyblade Reviews. This sort of video would fall in line with that goal as well.

Yes, there have been many WBO-sanctioned team tournaments.

So I know it takes a while to judge but I feel like 3 months is a bit overboard. I understand that some committee members are not as active, but could we at least get an estimate of when the results will be posted?
If I'm trying to schedule an event/take the organizer's test, which order do I go about doing it in? Do I take the test and wait for results before submitting the event, or do I submit the event first and then take the test?

Take the test, wait for the results then purpose an event after you’ve become an organizer.

We've only recently finalised the results internally, haha. Should have them up very soon (before the Anniversary begins), sorry for the delay!
