Seems to me that the majority of the members who post about wanting to be a moderator are only in it for the reputation. That and name colour.

Why would somebody do it for the reputation? Alot of the times Moderators have bad reputation! This is one of the few forums I have ever been on where the Moderators actually have good reputations! And what's so special about your name being blue? (Except for the whole Mod thing) It's just a color...

Speaking of the color change, when I was first asked to re-join the Mod team, I actually requested that my name not change colors or that I be given any distinction among the other members. I just wanted the ability to help clean up the forums, particularly the General boards, because I wasn't satisfied with where things were going on the board.

Eventually the rest of the team and I decided that having my name a different color was a necessary distinction, but yeah... I didn't do this for any sort of reputation or anything egotistical like that. I did it because I've been with this site since its very beginning and I was sick of seeing it run into the ground by rampant spammers.

Also, it's true, most moderators have a bad reputation, because it's a classic power/class struggle. Some people see us as being "high and mighty" and resent us for the job we have to do. Personally, I couldn't care less what any one particular member here on this site thinks of me. I was chosen to help keep this forum in line and that's what I'm going to do, everyone's opinions be damned.

I have to admit though, ever since you become a Moderator, there has been a major lack of SPAM. I like it!!

That concert was pimpin. Static Cycle Beasted, The New Boys Beasted, and Ludacris beasted over everyone. I was 3 feet away from him in the mosh pit! It was thick in there. I'm deaf now, I swear. I'm tired as heck, I was dumb enough to bring a winter coat into the mosh pit and while wearing that coat let a cute blonde chick to ride on my shoulders for about thirty minutes. I almost forgot to mention the fights that broke out. People are freaking crazy! Ludacris was a monkey-fighting beast in that Monday to Friday concert! My shoulders hurt from being to nice to cute girls and my ears are ringing from bing to close to the speakers! Peace Out!

Thought I'd give everyone an update on my current Exchange program situation: I didn't get picked. But it's alright. The university I'm transferring to has a better program where the let people stay for at least two years and teach English.

Apparently, the program next year will require the students to pay for housing (the one at my current university). >=(

OMG!!! The new Pokémon TCG set is going to be out soon!! It's the last for HGSS. And my gym is the first stop for the Oregon pre-release!!! I only got a week to save $25. I'm selling a Red eyes for $10 on monday. And hopefully I can make some money at the YGO tournament tomorrow. I'M SO EXITED!!!!!!!

Is it that "legend" series or someting like that? I know the one you are talking about, Not sure if I'm going to get it.

^ Yeah it is. Only thing is the place I'm going to is kinda small. Last time I couldn't even move an inch while battling. And I'm glad my gym is first. But I got a week to earn $25.

I love to play with Pokemon Cards! My only problem is I can never get a ride to League Play... Why does it have to be on Sundays? I'm thinking about starting one up in my town. I shouldn't have to drive to Delaware just to play with Pokemon Cards. I think I can get League Play started up at my Library if I send some E-Mails out. (They do stuff like that in the back rooms)

EDIT: Btw, I haven't purchased a deck since HS Unleashed. Mainly because I made a deck that I really like! I might see if I can go to the upcoming Pre-release tournament though...

You would have to get stuff from Nintendo to start a league of your own. And how many min do you have to travel to get to your league? I only have to travel for 15-20 min.

Yeah I know. It's all on Pokemon.com XP It's about 15-20 minutes to get to my local League Play. The fact that it's on Sundays is why I can't go. Although, if I can get my cousin to go, I have rides.

GAH! I hate that! I thought it was because I'm on a Wii. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

Ever since the advanced forum was created that has been happening. But I persanally think it is because of the sheer amounts of people online at one time. I was being drove to nearly throwing my grip flat core ultimate mode against the wall after have 5 minutes of that constantly happening. But good thing i didnt because who doesent love dragoon msuv's running core?

It's because we have 29,210 users on here. (Almost 30,000!!) It's causing our servers to crash. But don't worry, every time it does that, a Mod (Or Committee Member) will fix it!

That or waves of intentional bot attacks causing the server to crash. Yeah, I think my reason is more likely.

Apparently, there is a new Pokemon Manga coming out in Japan soon. It's supposed to be Targeted more at the older fans of the series. Here is what pokebeach.com said about it.

We haven't been under attack by SPAM bots or anything guys, the MyBB error keeps coming up because of the sheer amount of traffic the site is getting.

We're looking into other hosting options and such to get rid of it. Trust me, it's annoying for all of us.
