Without all of his help, my Deck wouldn't be a giant pain in the bum for my opponents. =) Thank you so much, Roan. I don't think I'll change up my play style any time soon (the new Six Sams kinda scare me though).

I missed this post somehow...

Anyway, thank you! That means a lot to me. I remember how difficult it was for me when I was starting out competitively, and I had a lot of cool people who knew more than me that were really helpful and friendly towards me, so now that I've gotten to a point in the game where I feel like I've more or less "peaked" I think it's only fair that I return the favor and help out newer players.

I can't stand the guys who get all cocky and arrogant once they become good and start winning and then treat the newer players like garbage -- it's messed up and I promised myself from the very first tournament I ever went to like two years ago that I would never be one of those people.
is any body going to the colchester sneak peak

It would have been wrong for me to not credit you, and you have been a tremendous help, ever since I got back into the game. I'm really glad to have taken the time read this, and the Deck Thread for your posts, as well as your Blog, which again, has aided me tremendously in making a more than viable Blackwing build.

It's unfortunate to say this, but there are very few people such as yourself, who would go out of his way to help newer players out. Writing a Blog solely to help others out is a very rewarding task, as I would imagine, and I am one of many who are grateful that you do so.

*Sigh* At my locals, there are tons of people like that of which you mention: the cocky and arrogant ones, but there's really only one nice guy who helps people out, and prevents younger children from getting ripped off
.
I'll have to thank you once I start dueling at my local shop also Roan. Your tips on Side Decking have really helped me a lot. But everyone talks about these arrogant people but I just don't see it. When I went to Regionals in Oct everyone there was friendly, and even at my card shop everyone there is nice. I guess I'm just one of the lucky people who are surrounded by nice people huh? Heh
It generally isn't arrogant or cocky, it's more so that they want to trade for something which is worth more.
Example; Player A wants to trade an Emmersblade and a Darksoul for Person B's Pot Of Duality.

I've never seen a person who was genuinely "rude" to other players.
I guess I was really lucky. Years ago, I went to my first little tournament at a (now closed) card store. I met one really nice guy with a really good deck (only two monsters!). I had a blast, and missed the top 4 by that last duel. My little brother met total jerks, though. He hated it, and we haven't gone since.
The six samuri are becoming the next big deck type correct? Would Destiny Heros be maybe a good counter because of D-Hero Plasma?
Heh. I won my tournament. It had to last 2 days, since so many people showed up! I saw way too many replicas of Yusei's deck...At least I got me a Majestic Stardust tin, so I'm happy!
What are everyone's thoughts on Effect Veiler in the side deck? I've noticed that the usage of the card has really fallen off since Starstrike released. I think it would do fairly well against LSS.

Kageki, namely, though I suppose hitting it with a Chain Disappearance is preferable. It could be used against Shien as well though, to help break those Shien/Warning locks. Also, considering that the deck is largely going to rely on Trunade to make its pushes, wouldn't Veiler be pretty useful in those scenarios?

I haven't tested it out myself, and this is all just speculation honestly, I was just curious what you all thought.
Your idea seems sound enough to me, Roan.

What is the opinion about Malefic monsters around here? I've been thinking about, once I find the right cards, building a Malefic deck. What do y'all think?
Ohhhhhhhhh.

I REALLY want to get into Yu-Gi-Oh!. Sorry if Off topic. I will learn about YuGiOh and Come back here Smile
Get s Structure Deck based on the Type you want to use. It is cheaper to build on that than to buy a bunch of booster packs.
Adding to what Megablader9 has stated, the Structure Deck that's the least costly to build around at the moment is the 'Machina Mayhem' Deck.

If you want to spend a tad bit more money, then you can try your luck at the Gold Series 3 and build Blackwings; this is what I did. However, building it this way as Megablader9 has said, can be quite costly.
Yay, I gave advice! But now, Clear Vice Dragon any good? I won one from the Anime Club tournament a while back. I got 3 Clear Worlds from the tin I got recently for winning a tournament.
Bah, no Great Tornado in STOR, only Ice Edge.

Oh well, maybe in Extreme Victory.
Honestly, if you're not a Six Samurai or GB player (Forbidden Lance), there's NOTHING in this set for you.
Scrap Breaker.

EDIT: Also, the Nordics aren't bad.
Sorry, I still think Scraps aren't good enough. This card really isn't going to make enough of a difference.
You make this Scrap player sad.

Although I guess I transitioning towards E-Hero again, since Elemental Hero Stephen King is coming out soon.
I'm thinking about building a Nordic deck once these appear in the TCG so it's nice to know some feedback from one of the better YGO players here.
Just wondering, Daegor are you entering the Sneak Peek? And if so, which locals are you going to?
401.

Anyways. I was just looking at the cards in Extreme Victory. Life Stream Dragon is a tuner? LOL.
Lol Tuner wtf? That CAN'T be right, if so that would be terrible for tuning.
Konami is pulling our leg with this one, yes?
What's the purpose for a level 8 tuner? It would only be good if it could modify it's level.
Obviously so Battle Tuned is more playable!

Also, when playing against my friend with my EHero deck for the first time, I actually got him to think it was a Shapesnatch OTK deck.

I lol'd so hard.
