As someone who sells quite a few HMS and plastics, this is a little counter-productive for me (though I think my prices are more than fair so I'm not too worried 
), but I think it's important to talk about it.
I notice a lot of members here are still scrambling looking for HMS and plastics. My honest opinion is that this isn't a great idea for anyone other than veterans looking to top off their collections.
For Bladers with small collections or small budgets, the focus really should be on MFB right now. They are the current standard and I imagine over the next year or so, discussion will shift almost completely to MFB. As we begin to focus more and more on competitive events, the main format will almost definitely be MFB.
It simply doesn't make sense to be putting all of our focus into a product that ceased manufacture in 2004 when there is a line being manufactured right now that needs our support. People are taking MFB for granted. We never thought we'd see Beyblade come back in such a short period of time, and in that way we have been ridiculously lucky; this sort of thing does not happen all the time.
The perseverance of Beyblade internationally during this "Bey Drought" is a testament to the universal and undying appeal of Beyblade all over the world. Now, Takara-Tomy has graced us with a new series, and we have to do what we can to support it to make sure it doesn't die again any time soon.
Focusing on MFB will be cheaper; older models are only getting more expensive due to their increased rarity, with some gems such as Shining God MS and some secret HMS commanding unbelievable prices.
