Your first intended option, this way the judges can record the battles smoothly. Rather than a massacre of crazy badly organised manic battles

Don't worry you don't get knocked out in the first round because we do it in the round robin format.

I think more then half the people will show up. Looking from the list I am almost sure that you will defiantly get past 50 people.
