Nice. I think this is about as up-to-date as the list could reasonably be, and I'm very pleased with the results of our discussions. Smile
Great!
Lets see how Duo does in the tournament scene, but I honestly think it will be up there soon!
Thanks Kei!

Excellent! Good choices, no more GB145, and RDF added! Nice and up to date Smile

Next on the table: MF-H for attackers, Cancer on Stamina (especially phantom), and Duo, plus various balance combo's and testing Death for stamina more.

: I find CS is insurance against the KO's, but yeah, the D version is KO bait for basalt and various other things. That angular pattern on the underside in stamina mode crates a fair bit of recoil, as do the other "lumps" in its shape, and apparently a few places have gravitated away from it due to this property. Very reminiscent of Burn, that wheel. Stamina in general seems to be a bit of a balance between spin time and surviving KO's from other stamina types at the moment, even with round wheels like Duo (though it's less prone to it than others). We may even end up seeing a trend towards more defensive setups for stamina (we already have BD145EDS, for example).
Never loved the Tier Lists in this Thread before that! LOL
That Tier List is more aggressive than before... Good good,my virus is infecting you xD

A little opinion: i prefer MF-H on Attackers!
Does anyone who has tried both MF and MF-H on Variares and/or Blitz disagree with including MF-H?

Obviously I'm in favour, considering the wonders it seems to do for Blitz's recoil.

I do as well. It helps with control and adds a bit of smash power...

Exactly, the Smash is all for that combos; expecially for Vari that has no stamina!
Its Smash must be the strongest possible to finish asap the match, that's because i prefer MF-H!
I honestly can tell little difference other than it would make it easier to control for most, and obviously contain some of that recoil with the added weight.
Nothing but good comes from it! It should really be added.

Edit: I speak from experience with VariAres, I can't say anything about Blitz. (Though Alex already has, haha)
I personally prefer MF-H because the extra weight reduces recoil, improves spin times (for a better all around advantage), and doesn't slow the Beyblade enough to cause harm. In this game, that little bit of extra weight is important.

Plus p=mv tells me it's better. Besides, the weight difference from a regular Metal Face is less than 1 gram or something, right?
The difference is 0.6g on the button, if I recall correctly, but yes, every bit of weight helps.

I prefer MF-H simply because it screws down tighter and doesn't let metal frames rattle, unlike MF.
Going by the wiki's weights, the difference is like 0.6g. Not a big minus if it were to slow it down, and you're not really sacrificing any amount of externalised weight to get that compared to a normal metal face.

: Maybe you won't like Duo. Tends to rattle no matter what you do. Still rocks though.
Loving the new list Smile It's great guys!

Also to nitpick, perhaps for the future updates, just remove all MFs, since we have MF-H and its variants. It's quite redundant, otherwise I'm very much pleased with the current list.
I don't know about removing normal Metal Faces. They're not really that heavily outclassed, it is only 0.6g difference between them and a Metal Face-Heavy. There's greater variation than that in wheel molds now.
That is true, but like I said, just to nitpick the redundancy.
I worry about the rattling on Blitz, specifically, because that one seems like a place where it actually might affect performance, but I cannot tell either way...
So, it's basically settled then, MF-H on attackers is an emphatic "yes"?

I'm going to wait for Diablo to see testing and usage before suggesting further changes, as I suspect it will shake things up somewhat.
It is from me.
I just noticed that RB isn't among the defense combinations, why?
I had a sonokong one and it did perform really well
IIRC many of us got sub-par results with it and it just faded away into the shroud of misfit parts.
It was discussed a few pages back, apparently it slips over the tornado ridge too easily, isn't really as good as some other options, and becomes far too aggressive with a little wear. I don't know if there's enough testing, either.
mmh may I suggest some testing, then? when it wears a little it becomes more aggressive but mine was definitely not too much.
it also helped a lot when using wheels like basalt that have at least a minumum amount of smash.
When facing a stamina combo, deep bank a really strong shoot. If a bit wear, you can try going for a KO.

This. Mine haven't become very aggressive at all, and I've used one of them a fair amount.

I haven't understood why RB has been "hated" (maybe that isn't the right word) on so much since it came out. It's a great part. Maybe top tier, maybe not, but very good nevertheless. It has good/great Defense, can help to KO opponents depending on wear and your shot, and can outspin CS on many occasions. There's no way it could be worse than say, RSF.

It does need to be tested more, though; I'm only speaking from my limited tournament experience with it.
I'll look into buying one and doing testing if I still have a job on friday, alongside the RDF comparison tests I plan to do.

Still nothing from anyone who may be opposed to adding MF-H to attackers. Is there anyone?

I agree on the point that it has great stamina to outspin CS consistently in mint to mid-wear state.

As for the 'aggressiveness' issue, it is still a ball-shaped. We all know that ball-shaped bottoms become aggressive to a certain degree with some wear. My MB can even do flower pattern (granted it's wide and lazy), but it's there. Now as to the level of aggressiveness depends of course on the launches you do with it. With stamina / defense bottoms, I usually just straight launch it. I suppose this technique wears down the center part considerably, exposing more rubber on the stadium for more traction, hence more speed when launched with the same power.

TBH, mine moves slightly faster than WF now. Perhaps, in few weeks of more exposure to straight launching, it becomes XF-like. I suppose i can bank it every time to prime it back to it's original state.

@th!nk: I agree on MF-H for attackers.
I can suicide with a flower pattern with MB. Italian metagame steroids lololol

anyway @ kei: neither mine became "very aggressive" just a little bit (unless i really shoot strog and bank the shoot) and it helps facing pure stamina customs
