Yeah, I'm trying to get more comfortable around people like my friends. After one friend of mine made a joke about my awkwardness, I realized I was like this around everyone, not just everyday people. Lips_sealed

My awkwardness/closure towards others doesn't seem to really have a reason, though. :-/ You?
I'm taking Psyc so I kind of understand where my awkwardness comes from... just a troubled childhood for me. I used to be like *WHABAM* OVERWEIGHT CHILD/SCHOOL BUS and I always was afraid of judgment/criticism. Never learned to deal with it, but I'm slowly hatching from my shell.

How to stop comparing myself to others, it's entirely soul destroying Pinching_eyes

That depends on whether you're trying to better yourself or not IMO. To have a little heathy competition is good for personal developement.

In my terms it's extremely negative. Basically, no matter what I do, If I compare myself to someone, I see them as better than me in so many ways, I dwell in it, I get myself into a state where no matter what you say to me to make me feel better, I don't listen. Basically turn into a complete wreck which takes me forever to snap out of.
It's not fun in the slightest.

I know that really well. Every game I play and even my own behaviour always makes me look to the others and think "oh well they're better" and I'm ashamed, not about them seeing they're better, but to myself seeing I'm less.
My attitude actually tells me quite the opposite, but I can barely realise that.
