Well I think u r expecting a bit too much. I dont think u will get anything more than 50 members even if u try ur best. And in Diwali vacations try to convince the others to get a passport for rs. 440(u must be willing for that first). Then I think in Diwali even I may come to Thane cuz it isnt very far away. So as I said before twice we may have revival of beyblade in Diwali in India
i know its too much....but few years back when there was tourney here around 250 participants were there.....i'l try to conact those organisers who had hosted that tourney.....if everything went good 120 is achievable
do u think even 10 of those 120 will be ready to pay rs.440 for the passport?
buddy i said m hostin unofficial tourney it will have hardly 100rs fee.....along with the tourney i'l advice them to join WBO.....so offcourse not everyone wil join n those who wil join i'l tell them everything in detail about WBO
I know all that but I am just asking whether the people from the tourney will be ready to pay for the official tourney or no? If they dont then no use of an unofficial tourney with these many members unless of course if u make a profit of 4000 or so and then get to host a tourney while paying ur profit as the entry fee for other participants as well
from 120 u can expect atleast 10-15 people ready for official tourney....but they wont b ready to pay 440 immediatly after that tourney they wil participate in official tourney in x-mas vacations i geuss
according to U.S 10 buks s nothing but fr us in indian rupees its a big matter i think wbo should change the fee and i think hosting unofficial tournaments first before hosting official tournaments is the best strategy we can use to gather members to wbo
and gokurox making a a4 size pamplet and pasting it on your school notice board (with principal's consent) would be best for gathering members for your unofficial bey tournament
OR
if your parents allow u can ask your friends to take the consent from principal(mostly no friend would do this but if he agrees) and paste one of your pamplets in their school also
there are just a few flaws with that idea, preshant. 1) I sort of have holidays right now... 2) in my school, if you're above 13 and you're known to be beyblading, you're considered "uncool", so I doubt too many people will come.
3) my friend would love to put something like that up, but in his school, he isn't allowed to do stuff like that.
Overall, it may be feasible in other parts of India, but not here. I'm just gonna see if I can make an unofficial tournament as a kid's birthday party (if any kids I know will be celebrating their birthdays soon, that is).

Also, relating to the money problem, I'm a pretty good amateur baker, so I'm thinking of selling cookies I bake to get the amount, if people aren't willing to pay. I'm sure everyone else could also do something like that if the people taking part don't want to pay.
hey preshants idea is good but agree wuth u also gokurox and that creations seeling thing i have sold 210 printouts of my drawings and cartoon stuff and got a profit of 1600 rs approx but wasted that money on beys when i was 9-10 years old so both of ur's ideas r good
How exactly do you 'sell' the things you make? Because I have many collections of Ben10 and Bakugan things which I want to sell but I dont seem to find anyone buying them for anything above rs. 100 which is very low price for my collection. And trying to reduce fee wont help a lot. We have to try our best to gather members who get blader passports. Also if possible we can make them get passports in December or so ... so that we can have at least 3-4 tourneys(X-mas, New Year, Holi, Diwali, Summer vacation, Ganesh Pooja, etc.) on festive occasions holidays like the ones I mentioned...think about it...it will also reduce the entry fee per tourney to almost rs. 100 only(taking into consideration that 4 tourneys be held every year and paying almost 400 for them we will make it amount to roundabout rs. 100 only as the fee per tourney.)
I am ready to pay the fee for official tournament bt tell me in detail about the tournaments ... Smile
welcome buddy....but first post ur details...

well at that time i was fond of art and dragonballz ,b10 etc and make their drawings ones i was unable to complete a drawing so i took it to my school and started completing it when other people saw that i have skills they say that they will gonna pay me if i want to sell those i just took a printout of pic's of dbz and stuff got their photo copies ( i sold 1 pic @ 5 rs and i page contained 5 pics a page printout costs 5 rs and i sold one drawing @ 5 rs = 5x5=25 . profit per page 20 and photo copy costed 1 rs ) and made huge profits soon this became a kind of business in my old school and the principal started taking actions all childrens collection was taken by teachers every day so the other competitors were gone in a loss and they quit but i managed and increased the price of pics ( i was never caught at that time ) as the collection of students gone they ordered more and i got huge profits ( my maximum pics sold on a day was 50 [50x5=250 rs a day] but i left the school and shifted and this business stopped and the students their still remember be because of my skills
I was planning on selling it to my parents' friends and a few of my friends if they're willing to pay. Selling bakugan... well, that's a lot harder, but maybe you could put your collection up on ebay if your parents let you. Otherwise I'd do something like ask my friends if they know anyone who'd like it, and ask that person if he/she would like to buy it
Actually it is a collection of the Bakugan tazzos and ben 10 figures which we used to get with cheetos....I am not interested in them any more...also I have a collection of another thing which can go at a good price...FRIENDSHIP BANDS...they are all almost 2-10rs. per piece and I have nearly 100-150 of them so I may get 8-900 rs. with them...isnt it?
And yes I do make good pics of DBZ as well but I dont think I'll be selling the pics I made..they are more dearer to me than the collection of the 'friendship bands' which were given by fake friends Tongue_out

Coming on topic..did Nitro get members for his tourney?...He hasnt been active for quite long now isnt it?

spikebeyraahul karnataka,banglore,india
GOSH! This thread changed forms(colors) like a chameleon! Man! People are talking about slide shots, Ben10 and DBZ collections, etc... Joyful_2
Well, same question- Where's Nitro? Its quite important for the ppl participating in Mumbai tourneys, for him to be around...
- Even I have some Bakugan... HATE THEM..... <<off topic...

me too i just keep beyblade to myself
i dont tell that i beyblade coz people think im kiddish nd also while ur in relationships if they come to know that we beyblade the looks we get from them are too wierd
(i think nitro neo might have experienced) <<off topic
and guys before u guys host tournaments how can we distinguish between fake and original beys coz i saw lot of fake beys with metal performance tips in the funskool tournament i recently attended and many beys which exactly resemble lyk original broke
Fake beys dont have a code on their parts. Almost all beys of Hasbro and TT which are original have a specific code written on each of their part(see urs if u want..it may be something like BB_). And yes I am not ashamed of telling anyone that I like beyblading...I am its fan and to me it matters more than those foolish friendships and relationships...I would rather be a beyblading champ than a person in relationship...Anyways back on topic...As we all know that beyblade is dying..our only hope is to be present at those funskool tourneys and by every possible way make it to the last round so that you will have at least something good to speak about WBO and also others will understand its importance cuz u have reached till the finals then isnt it?
I'm trying to promote WBO awareness on a different forum now... One with members who are only from Chennai (it was started up by a guy in my school, and there are only people from my school there. And I'm probably the oldest by a few months, so the people there should be into beyblade right now).
ur right sam since i'hve reached the semi-finals and had defeated many guys in the tournament many people might be knowing me know
and say maybe next june if i host a unofficial tournament and then slightly introduce wbo awareness would be a great idea
and gokurox why do you need to disclose your identity while pasting the pamplet on your scool bord u can paste it when noone sees u and in the pamplet just give the address wher ur hosting the tournament and your mobile no(if u have)for registration, if u dont have mobile give ur landline
please try doing this and by next june we both wil host a tournament and have enough bladers 2 host
off topic>>gokurox u look so chubby and flabby like a kid in ur facebook profile pic hehehe (no offence)<<off topic
After reading some of the post there is a lot of off topic discussions you guys do & nikhil , dude you want to make a unofficial tourney with 120 people lets say 50 come & with 100 rs entry fee that is too much people also think logically & they will say it's a money making scheme & if you can't follow up with a official wbo tourney right after the unofficial one then the people will think it is just a money making scam pulled by a teen so think about it rationally & i do log in a few times on wbo , but seeing as there are not any new members for the tournament i don't wanna do unnecessary comments here , most of you guys are of facebook so come on chat there for the non so important stuff like tazoo's or bakugans whatever , after all mark zuckey would be sad if you don't use FB For the very social purpose for which it was made , lol
I told the same to nik...but it seems he was too excited to accept reality. And I am sorry for the off-topic discussions..BTW please change my username in the OP..if you have done that then it's alright. So since you are back..do u have any idea this time to revive the beyblade or should we ignore beyblading till the time of Diwali?
Actually you people think to much about studies like jan once said he had exams from July to September so what it is not like i didn't give those tests in my times , you have enough time to come for a 1 or 1/2 hour event on a Saturday it is like 1-2 % of your time consumed , our last situation was that we only had 5 members , i once said i can't find members coz i am too old & seeing how people are in our country if i go on searching for young bladers in my area their parents would say you want us to give entry fees or passport fees , you are 20+ so you why are you not doing a job instead of playing kid games , money is an important thing in our country & so you guys are the only people who can convince people in your friend or college circle

Nikhil instead of making an unofficial tourney for 120 people , why not find some 4-5 people who are ready to pay the wbo fees so we can make a tourney , i really am sad that you were not around during beydays otherwise the mumbai tourney would have happened long back
