Mmhm....That's good news....And btw I am a little concerned about this topic that I'm about to tell...It's regarding "spelling an entire word out"....Most Indian members tend to post in various threads using words which are not entirely spelled out...sort of like the "fb" language or such...I had this problem during the first few days I was here on wbo...But i really think you should add this in the OP...People should spell each and every word out correctly without using "short forms" or such...That's all I gotta say....

Peace Out!!!!
No, we shouldn't at all.

The WBO can tolerate abbreviations for words, they don't mind, unless you're completely illiterate and don't know how to spell.

That should definitely not be a rule, people can post in their slang language, as long as it is understandable.

I wasn't talking about abbreviations at all over here...I mean like take this for an example...

"wat r u doin nw???? wat wer u talkin abt????" I could cite a few more examples...but I'm stopping over here...And about the slang language...English does not actually have a slang language while typing...In fact no language has a slang while typing.."Slang" is just the way we pronounce a particular language while adding our own, sorta cultural mix into it....Wink

EDIT : I wasn't referring to abbreviations at all over here...

The thing is the first post is already too big , we don't want people to skip it do we & it is common sense to you the short forms that can be easily understood like OMG or BTW , but i do like it if people wont use text msg terms , i hate texting so i don't understand those terms properly , but like electric said this should not be a rule , but i do really get your point & so please people don't use your own short forms here some of us might not get it

I knew what you meant, and the answer I gave you applies to laziness in typing too.
when it comes to larger words it is OK to make abbreviation...like for abbreviations it is OK to type abbrev. but when it comes to cancelling some letters from spellings that too knowingly..then even I dislike it..that makes it tough for the reader to understan what exactly u mean like one of the members spelt come as c_m which was probably an abuse and was displayed as "carp"...so such things should be avoided
Well,@ Nitro- Sure! 2 weeks before the tourney is great!
About the abbreviations thingy, people can write in abbreviations, and its alright if they use their own abbreviations, provided they make an effort of explaining its meaning in EACH AND EVERY POST CONTAINING THAT WORD. Like, if the word is used repeatedly in the post, then this method makes it a lot easier to understand the post, and also save the poster's time.
Say, I'll take the example of a question once asked by Samkul, in which he asked that is LLD good for right handers...
The answer-
Well, whether you are right handed (RH) or left handed (LH), It doesn't matter much in beyblade.
Well, people usually feel that LH people will get better results with left spin beys, while RH people will excel at Right Spin beys. I am a LH by birth, but still, I use my right hand while beyblading. Still, I have no problems with LLD in RH control. So therefore, you can buy LLD.

If people follow this format, then it becomes a lot easier for both, the reader and the poster.
when is this tournament coming to India im having the last 3 things u wrote
-if u stay in mumbai u can come for the tourney comin soon in mumbai.....
I don't think he stays in mumbai...
well then....vrajesh if ur not in mumbai den u hav to wait till some1 from ur area or u urself host a tourney in ur area...;-)

Sorry, I can't have it right now, because my parents suddenly decided to be really unfair and said I couldn't host a tournament until July because my sister has exams, so I can't have friends over, and they won't let me transport my beystadium. I've been trying to get them to say yes to hosting one, but they're not changing their minds. I haven't replied because I didn't want to say something and then change it later. Sorry Unhappy
It looks like Mumbai's going to be the next state with a tournament.

Last time, how many members were you trying to get, again? I think I remember saying 20 or something like that, right? And good luck with the tournament.
When did Mumbai become a state?...in case you are referring to Maharashtra then it already had my tourney(I wish NitroNeo and Janstarblast were in that)

And since I have joined WBO..I dont remember of NitroNeo getting more than 7 members...maybe I didnt pay attention at the start...again I say...I hope at least this time Mumbai gets a tourney...

BTW I have noticed that many members on this thread only introduced themselves but never really logged in to this site after that(the people in my area almost left beyblading after the tournament)...so we must do something to keep in touch with those members who only intro themselves here to allow them to be able to participate in future tourneys...

Another idea(which I dont think is good but may work) which I had was...how about asking Kai-V if this thread is allowed to use Hindi or any such Indian language...I know she said 'NO' to it..but I think allowing Hindi on this thread only will make more Indians join this thread and increase our chances od getting a tourney--JUST A THOUGHT please ignore if it is meaningless.
I think allowin hindi wil nt affect dat much....i think we should continusly host small tourneys(unofficial) in our area so dat number of participants slowly increases n after dat we can host an official tourney.....this flow should continue to keep beyblading alive....wat say??

well everybody here things how foolish i m sitting on net every time and telling everyone about wbo but when they saw that i m becoming a good blader and getting awesome knowledge about them some of them joined and become fan of wbo like me a. so in short only we have to do is to make them open their wbo account account and make them work on it and then they will try to become active members of it

Well, its too problematic, I suppose. Still, if you actually notice, the mecca of Beyblade, Japan, doesn't seem to have a Japanese forum here yet. If you would notice, we don't have like, a thousand members who can't speak English. A majority of us know English, and I bet that there are Indians who know English better than Hindi. I mean, its too tough to type Hindi, you know[provided you are not talking in Hindi with English alphabets. Example(please don't warn me)- Mera naam Janstarblast hai.(meaning- My name is Janstarblast)] . It will just be too annoying, and will probably lead to the Hindi thread going a waste. Some member already requested for something similar, but his request was denied. Then, Nitro created this thread, and the first few posts prove that someone did appeal for a Hindi thread, but Kai-V denied it. Still, if we can guarantee her, that we may get more members if we get a Hindi thread, only then should we try. You see, 'language barriers' is a secondary problem for us to face. The primary problem is, we don't have enough people who are interested in beyblade. We have about a 100 members on this page, but still, about 70% of those are not even interested in what's going on.... This was clearly proved when we tried for a Mumbai tourney. Thus, India must first become a huge beyblade loving community. Only then shall we try to get a Hindi thread. I hope you get my point. Also, mods please don't warn me for using a Hindi sentence above. It was just an example, and I did translate it to English in the bracket.

dude blading is popular in india but not well organized and people find it to come on net and then talk about blades they only like playing it with their useless combos

True. Still, 79% of the beybladers in India use FAKE beys. Thanks to Anmol Toys Co.
Beyblade is no longer a popular sport in India, thanks to our parents, our friends, and everyone else, who insult us by calling us babies, because we play beyblade. The ones who really play this sport, are kids, who will never be given access to the net, unless and until they grow old enough. By the time they do grow up, they will quit blading. Just a month back, a guy in 3rd grade quit blading on his birthday. He says that now that he's become a year older, he would look funny if he beybladed. Yes, I do believe that beyblade is popular in some regions of our country, but no one is passionate enough, to keep checking the site.
-EXACTLY......kids are interested in blading but acces to net is not possible for dem.....also 1 of problems is d fee for tourney....$5 in india is almost Rs.250....nd just for 1 tourney people wont agree to pay dis much....few years back der was tourney in thane....the entry fee ws just Rs.50......so it ws afordable nd around 250 kids hav attended that.....i think we should talk about dis also to Kai-v
@ janstar. and nik. agree with u the same things also happen with me and i think nik is saying correct thing we should talk about this with kai-v because 5$ are a small amount for people in foreign but in in india just adding 100 rs to this amount we can by a original bey
I remember Kai-V saying it was negotiable and that they could give some concessions...let us see if it really is possible..the Hindi was just a small thought...ignore it..
