Most epic series EVER.

Reborn! is about a boy, Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada, who is chosen to become a mob boss. Tsuna unwillingly undergoes training from Reborn, a hitman from Italy. Timoteo a.k.a. "Vongola IX," the head of the Vongola Family, sent Reborn to train Tsuna; the first Vongola boss moved to Japan, and Tsuna was his great-great-great grandson; the other candidates for the position of the head of the Vongola family died. Enrico, who was the leading candidate to become "Vongola X", died in a gun battle. Massimo, the second, "sleeps with the fishes." Federico, the favored son, was found as a pile of bones. For these reasons, Tsuna is the only remaining heir.

Reborn's main instrument of choice in teaching Tsuna is the "Dying Will Bullet", which will make the person be "reborn" with a stronger self intent on fulfilling his dying will.

While it seems really lame at first, it's a really amazing series. I'm completely addicted to it. The first 60 chapters (18 episodes in the anime) are more or less "filler" with small arcs within it to set up the characters and give them some development, but after that it gets really good. It's really well-paced considering it's a Shonen Jump series. XD They've already gone through two major story arcs (Kokuyou arc and Vongola Rings arc) and are currently in the middle of a third, Future arc.

The main attraction, I think, is the fact that it's really hilarious and ridiculous at times. The main hitman in the series, Reborn, is a toddler smaller than Tsuna's head. There's also the fact that all the normal people in the series, like Tsuna's mom, his classmates, et cetera, are completely oblivious to EVERYTHING that goes on. Of course there's a coolness-factor - this series has the most original character weapons I've ever seen. Tsuna's main ability is the Dying Will flame, and he gets special gloves called X-Gloves that allow him to condense the energy from it and use it's heat to basically ruin everything. One of his family members, Gokudera, uses dynamite as a main weapon. Gokudera's sister uses poisonous food to fight. It's really neat.

Anyways, I think everyone should read this. It has the mafia and assassin babies and boys that kill people and look hot while doing it. :-3
I watched the opening themes, and this seriously looks fresh to death. I'll be checking it out!

EDIT: First four episodes are LAAAME
XD The anime doesn't get reeeeaally interesting until about episode 19-20ish, because it more or less "follows" the Daily Life arc in the manga (the first 61 chapters) for the first bit. The whole point of the Daily Life arc is to introduce the characters in the most bizarre ways possible. Really, you only need to watch the first two or three (since they introduce all the really important characters then), then the episode where Dino comes in, then skip to the episode where Fuuta first appears and you're good to go (because that's when the Kokuyo gang is introduced, and they're made of awesome and win). For reference, anime-wise:

Daily Life Arc - 1-20, 27-33, 48-49
Kokuyo Arc - 20-26
Vongola Rings Arc - 34-onwards, with the occasional filler here and there

Right now the anime just finished the Rain Guardian battle, then apparently next episode is a break before they do the Mist Guardian battle. On the other hand, the manga is non-stop storystorystory from chapter 62 and on. It gets really REALLY good in the later chapters. Basically, once these characters appear:

Then it gets good. Especially the blue-haired one. Best damn character in the entire series. ♥
I watched the first nine episodes, then skipped to episode 19 and watched the Kokuyo arc. Not too shabby, although the fight scenes in the opening hyped me up more than they really were. Any new characters introduced between 27-34? I'll keep watching to see how it turns out.
Uh, not any new characters that I can think of. Just go straight to 34 and you should be good. Three new characters are introduced in that episode - Squalo, Basil, and Tsuna's dad. Personally, I'd suggest just going and downloading the manga since it's better. XD
I saw the first episode. I like it. I'll start watching more soon.
isn't the anime/manga name Katekyo hitman reborn! ? >.> (not sure)

Anyway, I just loveee this manga/anime, i'v watched all the episodes and chapters that came out for now. I think i'm a bit to crazy about it Lips_sealed
The full title uses Kateikyoushi, but it gets shortened to Katekyo all the time. Either or, it's the same thing. XD

I'm obsessed with it too. >____>; It's not even funny.
Okay. I am obsessed with this show so much that I'm mad it isn't finished. I LOVE IT. As of now my favorite character is 20 Years Lambo. I'm up to episode 52.
Read the manga! Grin It's so much better than the anime, and further ahead. The arc they're on right now is really neat and unique for a shounen series. [SPOILERS]Everyone (well, almost) gets hit with the ten-years-later gun and is transported nine years and ten months into the future where Tsuna is dead (??!!) and the Vongola family is being hunted by the Millefiore, another mafia family.[/SPOILERS]
It is amazingly hard to find pictures of this anime for sigs...
heaps of good source images from the manga Smile

i was reading the manga but forgot about it until now.
Now that I've only got one more final left, I'll have plenty of time to watch this show over break. I saw the first arc with Mukuro, and now I'm going to do the Vongola Rings arc.

Edit: Tsuna, stop being such a carp and take the friggin' ring.
For some reason the subbers stopped subbing, or they are slowed down or something. I am sad. Unhappy I think I will start reading the manga.
Just finished Prince the Ripper vs. Gokudera. My favorite character is Belphegor so far, hahaha...
My favorite character is Dino. I like the way he dresses.
I finished the Varia arc and now I'm in the future. Okay Carina, you've gotten me hooked.

I like Yamamoto best.

You are reading the manga?
Yeah, I decided to drop the anime and go straight to the manga during Varia. I'm glad I did too--it's another D.Gray-man case (except really, the edits made to the Reborn anime are actually necessary...they can't show a baby with a gun shooting a 14-year-old boy in the face).

Mbahahaha. >3

I've found for most people that I've introduced this series to that it's really hard for them to not like it. At least, once they get past the filler in the beginning. It's such a good series.

How far are you in the future arc?
Completely caught up now, with the exception of 174. I haven't found it translated yet.

It's just a really cool series. I'm really intrigued about what the process to become an Arcobaleno is, and Reborn's still enshrouded in mystery.
Yeah, the guy who usually does the scans is behind this week for some reason. Usually they're up on Sunday. It's a filler with Kyoko though, so not missing much.

Man, I want to see Reborn's true form so bad. I'm betting once all the pacifiers, Vongola Rings, and Mare Rings are together, something's gonna happen. At least I know it won't take fifty million chapters to get to it. X)
I recently started the anime series.

And I like it, however, I am not a fan of the constant training/vacation/whatever episodes. However, it is nice to have a break from the real story, but constantly, it just annoys me.

Younger Lambo's laugh is the coolest thing ever.
Fun fact: Young Lambo's voice actor is the one for Naruto.

Also, read the manga. The "filler", so to speak, is only at the beginning of the series. From about volume 8 onwards it's nothing but pure awesome.
Well that's interesting Gasp

I think it's picking up in terms of the actual storyline now.. I'm at the part where they are at the cruise hahaha.

I wonder what's going to be Ryohei's weapon though.. Gokudera has bombs, (Spoiler) Yamamoto has a bat-sword, Tsuna has fire gloves

Mmmm good thing it's summer break lmfao
