Ive been beyblading for a while and ive posed the question where does physical strength come into play with beyblading. Im a physically fit person and i try to stay fit to be better at blading. But ive heard the argument that if your physically tough enough that your blade will spin faster then your opponent and they will lose because they are weaker. My question is if you have enough power and skill does the science sometimes take a backseat to beyblading. Im trying to find the balance between science and strength.
I say both, yeah you can launch harder but it wont make a huge diff unless your very very very strong,it could be argued easily though.science comes into play because the bottoms, tracks, etc all change performance but the laws of phisics(blarg im bad at spelling)come in for both phisical and scientific strengths and weaknesses.so I wouldnt say theres a BETTER one.so phisical stregnth can matter at times.
But under the old BBA they had a cut off age of 14. I asked why and they said it was unfair because say a 18 year old would be a lot stronger then a 10 year old. so basically they were saying being older and stronger was a bad thing. Thats one thing I love about the WBO. There is no cut off age. But i do think that if your strong and in shape it does provide some extra benefits. ive been doing training just for beyblading. Ive been doing some crazy stuff getting back in shape for beyblading.
I agree with ultimate chimera because if you don't plan for what the opponent is using then there is less chance of a win. you want to use a bey that is well suited to take on your opponent"s bey but you also want to have more spin than your opponent and that is where strength comes into play for strong launches
yeah honestly I have been doing push ups for beyblade and for just being healthy all around XDDDDD

to be a stronger blader you really only need to strengthen your arms and increase how fast you pull the ripcord.not really anything too strenuous
I have t stay healthy for my job. But since ive started beyblading again ive seen more benefits to stay in better shape. Also it gives me an edge against my friends.
Yeah, The physical part is in launching and not pulling your hair out when your bey parts break, lol. I take tae kwondo and do quite a bit of exercizing so it all helps.
I am a happy couch potato, and I strongly Disagree.

Launchers have a Maximum, and i have reached it.

Simple as that.
Even then though, there is a limit to how much a shooter can produce a strong launch, and I would not be surprised if some kids did reach it as well.

There is a reason the Beylauncher is better than the Right Launcher.

The Beylauncher ? Although it is not a part, it is much better than the normal launchers, called Right Launchers.

its actaully alot better then the ripcord especially the hasbro ones. Almost everyone in competitive play uses one. Btw if your going to buy one make sure you get a suspension because without it your gonna break it in one launch.

That's VERY exaggerated.

Launcher Suspension/Rubber only extend the life of the Handle.
How much of an improvement does the grip and beylauncher offer?

Grip is comfort, and a Beylauncher gives (I think) around 3 more rotations than a Light Launcher.
Threads like this are a joke; physical prowess has no bearing on beyblading ability.
The only correlation I can see is that competitive people are generally fit, and as such people who are better at beyblade due to their greater drive may be more physically fit then less accomplished bladers.

This should be locked, imo.

There is a correlation between the two i do believe. I think if a physically fit person was to beyblade they would have a little bit stronger of a launch. Also like you said competitive bladers are usually more physically fit.
Haha,
How did you learn that?
Edit: Wow, dude you didn't read his first sentence..
No, there is a maximum power for a launch. A fit person might get 100 RPM's better at best, but it'd happen inconsistently. Technique > Power.
Also, the thread title is ridiculous, it makes the assumption that the two are mutually exclusive, which they are far from. Being strong is not combatting science.
IM not saying combating science. Im trying to find the balance between the two. Im a very scientific minded person. But im a physically fit person. There is a balance and that is what im trying to find. There is a balance. They are both important in there own ways.
If the things you said are true, you'd know its not too hard to pull a beylauncher (as a child) and still succeed in getting equal/close results to a 'fit' person. I really don't get why you'd wonder about something like this..

IM a weird person. I think about beyblading in weird ways.
Depending on just how physically fit you are, it's entirely possible you'd intimidate your opponent and they'd screw up their launch, and a half-hearted launch would make for an easy win [even if they should have the upper hand with top tier parts/good technique].

But I don't think that was the point, lol, so just saying.
That was really stupid.
