Although I have no pictures to post, I was looking into buying a new camera for photographing things. So, anyone have any suggestions? Right now, I'm looking into the Canon Digital Rebel XT, but the price is extremely high.

Come on, you kooky photographers! I know you can help a brotha out.

It mostly depends on how serious you are about photography and what you want to do. If you're completely serious about it and not just want a camera to bring with you on trips, I sugges either a Canon or a Nikon. If you just want a camera for everyday use but still have good quality, I suggest a Canon Poweshot or CyberElf. I think they're the same. It's a digitall point and soot camera. Plus it's cheap. If you're filling to throw dwn a lot of money, you can get a Nikon D40 or D3000. It's a good starter DSLR. I recomend a regular digital camera or the Nikon P90 since they're cheap but stll have good quality pictures.
