Does anyone like Devil May Cry?
Sure. I'm guessing this topic will turn into a Tameem hate-fest though.
i saw the teaser or trailer for the new one a while back.

my opinion on it is that i prefer Dante in his older state but this one... he looks too Emo.

who's Tameem...? this thread will more likely to turn into the "i hate dante's new look thread" (if you've played previous games and seen the new one)
Don't get me started on his look.... >Unhappy
The old Dante was naturally badass.

The new Dante seems to be trying really hard to be badass, but just isn't...
Tameem Antoniades is the guy responsible for changing Dante's look.

He's the leader of Ninja Theory as well. He's also doing the majority of interviews on both Capcom and NT's side.
Yea, I like DMC. Dante is one of my favorite video game characters. However, new Tameem-looking Dante has got to go. Something is wrong when you change such a icon/popular character to look like yourself, call it 'edgy' & completely dismiss/make fun of his original design. That's all I have to say about that. Tameem is too cocky.

Back on topic: The first DMC game is my favorite out of all in the series. That game really puts me on the edge & gets me to think twice before I do something. I hate that shadow tiger you have to fight in one of the earlier missions. Forgot that name of it.
I only played dmc 4 but I am a fan of dmc.

Old Dante was a Japanese designed pretty boy from the early 2000's.

New Dante is a British designed pretty boy from the late 2000's.
I'm not one to judge my own gender, but the new Dante is far from a "pretty boy".
He is more of an 'Awesome Demon', like Hellboy.
The main reason I like it is because of the characters, weapons and moves
Kalina Ann is win. For those pf you who don't know what it looks like...
Here you go!

You don't even need to "judge" him to realize he's not a space marine, or a character from Initial D. Which would make him a pretty boy in Western gaming.
The new DMC gameplay had better be something special, because otherwise nobody is going to play it.
The fact that he has a Great Britain flag apparently printed on his coat is even worst. He looks too normal, and almost has some traits of a woman.

That looks much better.

Great. You happened to contradict yourself all in one go.

But it doesn't make my point any less valid. However, this is a pretty pointless argument.
Agreed, but apparently this is what Capcom wanted Dante to be. So, if it's fine by them, they must be going somewhere with this. I'd personally want the old one back because that was his "style".
I like the Devil may cry games I have beaten 1-3 (i have the special edition of 3 where Vergil is playable)
I have yet to play 4 because i don't have an xbox 360 yet but im getting one soon, and my thought on the DMC reboot is that it might be good or bad but don't judge a game before it's released

Though we can judge a protagonist before the game is released. The new Dante looks like some beat-up, british emo trying really hard to look cool but failing epicly in the process. That much is pretty obvious.

I'm really curious, though. What did they feel was wrong with the original Dante's design? He looked and acted pretty awesome, if you ask me.
Because he looked exactly like Dante?

This is a reboot. A reboot usually tries to ignore the past, and do things on its own.
The new Dante could have been anyone at all, the point being, Devil May Cry self-called "loyalists" would still probably hate him anyway for not being the same Dante. Even though I'm a major fan of the original DMC (1-4), I'm going to try not to judge the new Dante, for all we know, this could be his teenage years. Maybe somewhere along the storyline, he'll discover his new demon powers resulting in a energy-induced change in hair color and attitude. We have no real way of knowing until the game itself comes out.
Lmao I voted no thinking the poll was about "Do you like the new Dante?" after reading the last few posts.

Dmc is amazing but I won't be buying the reboot.
everyone is to judgemental, if your really a true fan would be glad about that there is a new devil may cry game...
Actually, I think DmC is shaping up very well. The new trailers Capcom and Ninja Theory have been releasing all look pretty fun. Though I have my concerns over the frame rate, and some of the combat.

But if you're not inclined to partake in this journey, Capcom have announced the Devil May Cry HD Collection for PS3, and Xbox 360. It includes the first 3 DMC games rendered in High Definition.
Wow I didn't know that, thank you To for the information!
