I've heard nothing but good stuff, about this anime.

yeah you should check it out on youtube (both movies if you can) anyway the basic storyline is about 3 teens who fight angels in their EVA's. the first child is Rei who pilots the prototype unit 00 and Shinji the second child pilots unit 01 the test type(main chracter...ish) and Asuka the pilot of unit 03 the more advanced one and throughout the movie there will be unit 03 a new made eva gone berserk and out of control and also unit 05 which gets destroyed in the beggining of the movie etc the director of the Eva project(the guy who thought of making the EVA's) who is the father of Shinji and a whole bunch of other chracters youll see during the movie and series. back to the point they are set in a town in japan called Tokyo-3 in the year 2015, when angels attack ,the UN (military) come and tokyo-3 turns into a giant battle station. if they cant stop them the EVA's are called to help fight the angels. they try to prevent a second impact on the earth unlike the past when the first impact hit and now a giant lookin eye scares the area that had been hit. so yeah its a good anime and they are still re making it. the 3rd movie will be released some time next year
