I sent the owner of UK website www.theintoy.co.uk an e-mail regarding the prices of beyblades he stocks on his website. They have a fantastic range, including many HMS random boosters, RSMS and Magical Ape, and I was wondering whether he would consider lowering his prices.

He got back to me extremely quickly:

Hi.

Thanks for the positive comments.

As you are a fan, and as you state, Beyblades are no longer in production. This is sad as we believe Beyblades are still one of the best toys to ever have been released. We are committed to maintaining as high a stock level as we possibly can.

To answer your question regarding pricing. We work exceptionally hard to find and bring stock to our store, our aim is to maintain as high a stock level on as many blades as possible. Our hope is to maintain stocks until Takara and/or Hasbro relaunch Beyblades and stock levels can return. Locating supplies of blades is not easy, for instance our last shipment of Hasbro blades were from Hasbo Canada. Shipping costs from Canada to the UK account for the increased pricing. Similarly, any supplier in Asia with *ANY* supplies of Beyblades knows they have rare items. Rather than selling them off to "get rid" of them, they are asking premium prices to supply them to us. We have a good feeling for the correct price, and are willing to pay premium prices to secure stock. It naturally follows that if we have to pay more we have to charge more. We hope you can appreciate this view and support us as we are deeply committed to Beyblading.

On a more positive note, as stated we are continually searching for supplies. If you or any of your website users find supplies of any blades anywhere in the world, please let us know and we will contact the store to see if they are interested in selling their stock.

Finally, if there is anything else you or your users think we could do to help, please let us know.

Carl

(Thanks to Carl for being so quick and friendly! He sounds like he has a genuine interest in the game.)
I think they are alright.
Those prices seem quite fair compared to the like of toywiz... O_O and that's a very nice reply from them too.^^
those prices arent too bad. its still a bit cheaper then when blades were first released
Hasbro Canada?

Maybe I should call them.
sounds like an idea to me. the least they could tell you is the names of companies they still sell blades too

Why do stores have to sell all their stocks? No wonder I can't find any beyblades. Once a store had lots of beyblades, and a month later all the blades were gone, even in the other stores with the same name...where do you think all the beyblades went? I don't think someone could just come along and buy all the beyblades from every single store that goes by the same name.
i checked and i think their to expensive better prices at ebay.com
