I've been to three Wal-Marts and a Toys R Us in my area and I've noticed that they all have some obsession with dark wheels, having racks upon racks of Dark Bull, Dark Wolf, and Dark Gasher. If you go digging in between them, you're lucky to find a Rock Leone or Storm Pegasus...
I find it hard to believe that parents buying beyblades for their kids have researched that dark wheels are terrible, and also that the relatively small group of beyblade hobbyists could make any sort of impact on what's left on the shelves.
Two things worry me about this dark overstock. The fact that I refuse to buy 5 dark blades from each store gives Wal-Mart and Toys R Us the impression that beyblades are not popular in my area, and that they will not stock in newer blades as long as dark blades are taking up space on the shelves.
Discuss? Explain? Please? I don't want to pay double the price to ship every blade I buy if it's already released in the US..
Side note, first day of work at Best Buy today (yay!), and I noticed we sell Bakugan toys, but no Beyblades >__>

The problem is the TV show. Kids would much rather have main character beyblades, then side characters.
The side characters just happen to have dark
Or it could be what animals are more appealing to kids.
As for me, I'd rather have a Lion, and a Horse with Wings, then a crab.
Side not response: I thought BestBuy was just electronics? o-o

Edit: I'm pretty sure Crabs are up there as a more appealing animal than stuff like Goats.

So they miscalculated and bought too many? I didn't think both stores would make such a bad mistake.
Nahh, Best Buy sells... a lot of things |D;;
I think it's maybe because Bakugan has an "MMOG" that I noticed on the package. Beyblade has its own online game, which makes me wonder why we don't try selling them as well.

What I mean is, retail giants usually do their research as to what to stock up on. They should have known that minor characters' blades would have been unpopular. Also, 11,000 divided throughout the world isn't a very big number >__<;

FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE REALIZES THIS!!!! i think it may be because of the twelve blades. also ive noticed, that bull is popular among the young kids. wolf too. this may be why. Benkei has an aggresive side, so the bey should too rite? many kids like that, and gingka doesnt show that much now does he? as for wolf....u got me there. probly just for the name
Hm, I understand your disappointment, but unfortunately I do not think there is much we can discuss about this fact ... Some stores in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia only had electronic Beyblades at the beginning while there were none anywhere else in Canada, so I do not think it is impossible for such an odd mistake to happen ... But we cannot change it.
UGHH why does hasbro have to be so oblivious to the world of beyblade, and realize theyre failing! not just them, but Walmart, and toysrus. they r supposed to have toys. and a good amount of them too, but i'm able to find a better selection, at my local pharmacy!

u should do that! i found 2 earth eagles,(bought both) 1 evil gemios,and a rock aries! This has proved more efficient after 5 days, than driving to toysrus/walmart every weekend for 6 weeks!

What are your local pharmacies? And how much do they cost? Are they also victims of dark overload? xD
CVS, and Walgreems. i live in NY, if it matters. and no they only have a few beys out at a time, and i have to ask for them to show me. once i got an ldrago from them for 2.99 cuz it wasnt in the system. lol the guy at the counter estimation failed. my earth eagles were about 9$, but hey that's less than shipping, from toysrus. i haven't seen it anywhere else so an extra buck or two wont bother me!
well at my walmart here in newmarket the beyblades are out of stock constantly and i dont go to toysrus so I wouldnt know about that store

Yeah, definitely better than paying shipping. That's pretty awesome that you got an L Drago for $3 xD I'll check out my Rite Aid and see if they have any.
o i 4got to check rite-aid! and yeh tell me what u find! also for the dark wheel thing, i also think that dark gasher may b e popular, cuz he's one of the bad guys. also maybe the dark wheel is the easiest to produce. no intricate design like the others. just 12 blades on a thick piece of metal! lol. so maybe because its cheaper, they can buy more

dude your rite it isnt THAT bad...its worse. look at the threads regarding this. i use ti be a dark blader too. I used Dark Cancer/gasher CH120ES, and all other combinations. the best one i could find was the Dark Bull C145WB/WD. this was the best on possible for me(aside from MF Dark Aries ED145SD)
