I like the Scorpions, and agree with SSJFisherman..... they have some great tracks, especially their newest album "Humanity Hour"[2007] & of course not forgetting their all time hits like "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "When the Smoke is Going Down", "Loving You Sunday Morning", "Always Somewhere" etc.

Before, I used to like TOTO as well as they have some great songs....

Also, I play Drums & Vocals, there are some fantastic individual songs every band has so.......
Just added a new band to my list: All Time Low. They have some good songs, specifically Weightless and Damned If I Do Ya, Damned If I Don't.
Dream Theater, 30 Seconds To Mars, Pendulum, Bullet for My Valentine ( mainly because of the song "Your Betrayal")
ACDC and Muse. How ever my favorite song is Octavarium by Dream Theater because...well...I really can't explain why, you just have to listen to the song yourself. What can I say about ACDC? Awesome band. Muse is quite similar to Dream Theater especially if you listen to "Never Enough" by Dream Theater. The lead singer for 30 Seconds To Mars really puts a lot of meaning and expression into every song they make. I would agree with Brandy890 about Bullet for My Valentine.
Ha I just realized that we all pretty much have the same taste in music Tongue_out
I would have to say I dont like music in general but there are allway a few select songs I like.
STYX: for mostly all of its music and its good use of synthesizer.

GWAR: for its gore and artisticly theatrical proformances, and as bevis and butthead would say "GWAR rules!"

DIO: for that song holy diver, because it kind of reminds me of conan the barbarion or that game golden axe.

QUEEN: for the song princes of the universe, because I hapen to just love the highlander.

COOLIO: gangstas paradise, because it reminds me of what old school rap was like.

OTHER MUSIC: the rest just ends up to be certain theme songs I like or game music I like that is too numerous to mention or hard to obtain the credit for. but I will tell you this my tastes for other music may be refined as well for I hapen to enjoy organ music very much and would consider the midnight sonata supurb if played on one.
Oh man, I just found this awesome band Quasi. They used to open for Heatmiser and Elliot Smith! They remind me of a less-poppy sounding Death Cab For Cutie.
Well my favourite is System Of A Down and One Direction from X Factor...
i need some more bands to listen to,theirs a list of which ones i already listen to on my profile :V but really i cant find anymore good bands

So... What are your favorite bands and why?
Haha, this is going to take ages to go per band... lol

I suppose it because all of those artist play/perform with a such a level of emotion that you can't help but feel moved, whether that emotion is sadness, love, loss, grief, sorrow, anger, frustration, excitement or they're just plain happy. I find it to be a learning experience in the sense of finding out how another person deals with their emotions.

Plus a few of them just know how to rock and put on an awesome live show.
Uhmmm, The Killers, Sum 41, Blink 182 and Breaking Benjamin Eee
I forgot to mention Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa in my super magic list of amazing bands!

Plain and simple, they're musical innovators and geniuses whom pushed the boundaries of modern music of the time.
Fyuuor, I think in terms of musical likes you are my favorite XD

I gave them a listen to and to be honest I didn’t mind them, I thought they were pretty cool. I enjoyed the Country/Prog genre mashing elements while they incorporated Frank Zappa and My Morning Jacket influences into their songs, quite enjoyable.

They're one of my favourite bands, I've listed them in my super long list of awesomeness.
The Beatles are geniuses pure and simple, the flawlessness that The Beatles have accomplished within their song writing is gob smacking to say the least. The Beatles have created their own niche in song writing, they’re able to create an engaging story within their music while being able to include catchy hooks and a memorable melody whilst interweaving an emotional concept that an average listener can relate too, while finally combining all those concepts together to create an outstanding song. Simply amazing!
Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Fort Minor, Kings of Leon, The Beattles.
I like the Black Eye Peas, because their songs are awesome.
avenged sevenfold..some might think they are talentless but its really a matter of personal preference :-)
btw, dont warn me if this is considered necro'ing..a new thread was started on this topic but it was closed because this thread existed. :-)
Ugh. My fav bands are Birds of Tokyo (know Lead singer really well), ACDC, Gunsnroses, Lupe Fiasco, Metallica.
I've got a weird style in music.
Hilltop Hoods, Pendulum & Bliss n Eso. I chose like the type of rap Hilltop Hoods & Bliss n Eso make & Pendulum makes the best music.
