I'm with you on the Roar! I like rock, but I don't like gospel.

Yeah it's my new favorite song!Smile I mostly listen to rock, like Tool and Skrilex!!XD I'm all about that Rock and Roll life!!XP LOL
Oh okay so let me just blurt out a list first;

Pierce The Veil
Panic! At the Disco
Fall Out Boy
You Me At Six
Muse

Bring Me The Horizon
Of Mice & Men
Rise Against
Mayday Parade
All Time Low

bolded are what I listen to a lot (maybe too much) of.

Pierce the Veil; I think they were the first band I really got into (and no I am not your stereotypical emo teenager listening to screamo songs - please do not label PTV as solely "screamo". I listen for the lyrics and the composition of the song. Some of my favorites are; I'm Low On Gas And You Need a Jacket, The First Punch, The New National Anthem, The Sky Under The Sea, I Don't Care if You're Contagious aaaand Disasterology (and probably some others that I forgot to list but really I like every song from them). Also have you seen the band members.

Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco and Muse; their lead singers have really good singing capabilities. Some titles I enjoy are; Dance Dance, Bang The Doldrums, Alone Together, The Take Over, The Break's Over, Thanks For the Memories, Grand Theft Autum and a lot others (FOB), Bliss, Cave, Panic Station, Map Of The Problematique, Neutron Star Collision (Muse) and a lot others. I haven't listened to P!ATD in some time so the only song coming to mind now is I Write Sins Not Tragedies.

All Time Low, You Me At Six and Mayday Parade; uh well, their songs are generally relate-able and I like a lot of ATL's songs for the rhythm. Songs coming to mind now are Too Much, Therapy, The Irony of Choking on a Lifesaver, Remembering Sunday, Outlines, Weightless, Lost In Stereo, If These Sheets Were the States and A Love Like War (ATL). YMAS, well coming to mind now are Takes One To Know One, Bite My Tongue, Reckless, Crash, Fireworks The Swarm, This Is The First Thing and Safer To Hate Her. Finally Mayday Parade, oh boy haven't listened to them in a while but hey The Silence, When You See My Friends and Save Your Heart are cool.

Of Mice & Men and Bring Me The Horizon; I'll admit these songs do have more screaming in them but I enjoy the meaning behind most of OFM&M's songs. I enjoy; Second & Sebring, My Understandings and Let Live. From BMTH, I could listen to Deathbeds all day, also Shadow Moses and It Never Ends come to mind as good songs too.

Rise Against; ahh I just recently got into these guys but I've liked every song I've heard so far from them. Satellite, Drones, Prayer Of The Refugee and Midnight Hands are my favorites right now.

Also some of Sleeping With Sirens, Green Day, A Day To Remember, Blink-182, Dir En Grey, Owl City and My Chemical Romance. Memorable songs include, First Date, Teenagers, Mama, I Don't Love You, I'm Not Okay, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Fire, Don't You Ever Forget About Me, Who Are You Now, Postcards And Polaroids, Have Faith In Me, The Danger In Starting a Fire, You Had Me At Hello, The Final, Glass Skin, Yokan, Vanilla Twilight, Galaxies, Rainbow Veins, Speed Of Love.

Nerd.

List of my favorite bands:
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Oh god, I really love them. They seem to have a whole album for any mood I'm in. From their funky fresh beat, to a slow and calming song, they have it all. They are at the top of my list for sure. My favorite album from them is probably either their Californication album or Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
Vampire Weekend: Really loving their music. Ezra's voice is amazing, and so are his looks. Favorite album from them is either their Vampire Weekend album, or Modern Vampires of the City.
Panic! At the Disco: Noodoo got me really into them, so I blame her. Really love their Pretty. Odd album.
Train: Got to see them live, really love how they sound. Not sure what my favorite album is from them, since they are all really good.

Cool

And Panic! at the Disco wins the whole thread. Also, Pretty. Odd has some really odd lyrics.
Some of my favorite bands consist of:

Skillet
Aloe Blacc
Imagine Dragons
Avenged Sevenfold
Owl City
Alice in Chains

I actually just recently discovered Aloe Blacc, haha. I heard 'The Man' on a Beats commercial with Collin Kaepernick and I fell in love with that song, haha.

I guess you could say the lyrics are... Pretty odd

My girlfriend introduced me to a lot of the bands I listed. I guess they came as a package deal as many of them are relatively the same genre xD

Of Mice and Men just came out with their new album Restoring Force and You Me At Six also released their album Cavalier Youth yesterday! I have yet to listen to them but I'm sure they sound awesome Grin

Now all you need to do is start listening to Tegan & Sara, then my influential music taste will reign supreme Cool

Don't encourage her, she'll only grow stronger.

I'll have to go give that new Of Mice and Men album a listen. Thanks for reminding me!

I have already fallen victim to the Tegan & Sara trap. I'm not into indie though ... just into Tegan and Sara.

I'm sorry world.

Ooooh you're welcome!
If you haven't already, you should probably listen to Sainthood. It's more of an indie-pop kind of record, and some of the tracks (Northshore, The Ocean, Hell) have a sort of alt-rock vibe to them. Not to mention that's also my favorite album, which must mean something, right? Aha.
Anamanaguchi, Nirvana, Hollywood Undead, Starbomb, Metallica, and MIIIIKUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!
My favorite bands are:
Skillet
Breaking Benjamin
Sum 41
Crush 40 (sonic songs)
Owl City
Rush
Pillar
Green Day

lol awesome choices love almost all of those <3
btw owl city is not actually a band it is a project created by adam young to create a unique and sort of trademark sound. His other project sky sailing has a similar sound with a more instrumental rather than electronic focus. (I prefer owl city lol)
My favorite bands are mostly rock bands
Skrillex
Tool
Coldplay
Slipknot

Other bands
The Afters
Casting Crowns
Tenth Avenue North
My favourites are linkin park and bullet for my Valentine.
My Chemical Romance used to be my #1 but after seeing One Ok Rock in concert meeting them and seeing how amazing they've grown as musicians they have to be my favorite band. i wouldn't have gotten a oor tattoo if not right XD
Has anyone mentioned MintJam in this thread? It has recently became one of my favorite j-rock bands and I'm really struggling to find the password for one of their backing tracks zip files XD

Top songs:
- Prometheus
- Keep On Jamming
- Spring Wind
- Platinum Beat
- Resistance
- Their cover on Corridors of Time
I like the rubber kind. Super useful in a lot of situations and because of how much they stretch, you can really get a lot of versatility with them.
Fall Out Boy is pretty lit for a modern band.
