Hey everyone, call me Destiny or Phoenix, either one works. I'm completely new to Beyblades (I led a sheltered childhood Pinching_eyes_2) but my fiance, in his infinite wisdom, got me hooked.

I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you all here! Don't hesitate to PM me or anything, I love to hear from people.

Any tips for a newbie?
Your fiance? Where did you pick this guy up? I mean, I know one of the founders of TechPB married in paintball gear and had a game right after in her dress and the groom in his tux, but Beyblade? I'm lost... I'm glad this is so popular I guess, but I'm just a little flabbergasted, if I'm allowed to use that word...

Enough jokes: You seriously want to look into the BeyWiki articles, they're a great start but make sure you're looking at the MFB section. After that the site has a thread that lets others help you with what to buy; parts you should have, parts you don't need, whether the Beylauncher is worth getting, what stadiums are decent. All sorts of help is available on this site. Don't be afraid to post, but make sure you're in the right forum, and use the 'Search' option just as aggressively, it is your best friend.

[EDIT] If you need some help getting around the site at first, don't be afraid to ask for help, no one penalizes around here for questions.
Don't double post either, the 'edit' button is there to be used.
Thanks, CherryICG Joyful_2

Haha, he and I are nerds just about to the highest degree. Sometimes I don't think we'll ever grow up XD

I've been reading over the BeyWiki articles most of this afternoon (when I get into something, I get INTO it) and they've been immensely helpful.

I guess my biggest problem (which I'm going to head over to the Q&A thread for in a couple) is that I have a hard time holding the ripcord launchers and getting a good rip due to a lack of arm strength. I have MD, so my upper body strength is significantly lower than the average person. Is there a better way to launch a Bey?

*scampers off to the Q&A thread now*
welcome i dont really know...slide shot is nice i think theres somthing called a grip launcher that helps u have a better grip?

Have you tried using the String Launcher/BeyLauncher? Try that, or instead of just pulling on the cord, try turning your hips away from the launcher and lean back a bit while pulling on the ripcord.

I think those are the kind of movements your doctor tells you not to do when you have muscular dystrophy...

That, and I can't twist XD I had a surgery to keep my spine straight, so I can't bend/twist as a "normal" person can. The other thing, I'm also in a wheelchair, so positioning is a little awkward.

I have a feeling I'm going to wind up the mechanic of my friends XD I build 'em, they battle 'em.
I'll try and find you a picture of that wind-up launcher, I'm sure I saw one.

If all else fails, then go with a pneumatic torque wrench. You'll have to mod a launching piece, but I don't think you'll be losing to your friends anytime soon.
Thank you CherryICG Joyful_2 I appreciate it!

Bedtime for me I think. I have class tomorrow at some point (*sweatdrops* I'd better check the time on that..)
yh they hav those, i got it yesterday....it's not that gud. I've decided to use it for my little cousins that ask to play lol
