Hello everyone, happy 4th of July, hope everyones feeling good and didnt lose any fingers with fireworks. Anywho, my title isnt a lie. I actually went to Best Buy and purchased a 40 GB/Go Playstation 3. I did research, and frankly it is superior to all other consoles. I cant even see an area where 360 is superior is superior to it ( other than library , which on many forums the fanboys are always bragging about.)

To be honest, from what i hear the PS3's library will be superior and complete when Final Fantasy launches ( and titles such as Infamous, God of War 3, Socom: Confrontation, Resistance United We Fall, Killzone 2 and so many other titles that peak my interest). I feel very confident about my purchase, and frankly, is the smartest choice.

Also when considering between the 3 consoles, the only recognizable game in 360s future is Gear of War 2, and lacks Blu ray, so why go 360 at this point? Enough of me, I would like to play you on the Playstation network! Please leave your "Playstation IDs". I will gladly add you, as i have no friends so far.

P.S. The store employees suggested to me that i buy Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty 4 for starters. So i got them, and let me say , both titles are amazing!

Even thought I am not a fan of the 360, the PS3, or the Wii (each has shortcomings, although I like the Wii the best out of the 3), there are plenty of things that the X360 has over PS3, including the library that you seem to downplay.

I find it funny that all of the titles you listed are slated for a late 2008- early 2009 release, and that CoD4 is multiplatform.

Youre telling me to get out, because i want whats best? Are you serious? Whats the point of buying an inferior product? If it werent for competition, the world wouldnt function.

Funny how XBOX has many things over ps3, i mean you listed the only fact i said........ wait , hold on. Library is all based on opinion! So if i like peaches over plums, you cant change that! So from your view, Xbox has no perks over playstation! And in case you didnt know, late 08 is almost here. Socom comes out october, just around Gears 2.

First of all, buying an inferior product, by most points, is trolling in the first place. As is the claim that PS3>Xbox360 in all aspects/the wii is a fad.

Library is based on only opinion, so basically, your first post, which listed all those awesome and amazing completely library of games, is only your opinon. So what if I believe Madden 09 > entire PS3 library, it's just my opinion, and since it fits me better, thats why Xbox360 is better.

First of all, Home doesn't even compare to the Xbox dash yet. It's getting their, but it's obviously superior at this point.

You want to talk about Blu-Ray? Sure, Kojima and some devs use Blu-ray as a selling point, and PS3 as the cheapest blu-ray player out their helps, but there hasn't been a significant reason to choose blu-ray over regular dvd's yet. In addition, we are talking about PS3 firmware 2.4 bricking some PS3's, an obviously flaw.

Wanna talk about trophies vs achievements? I unno, trophies seem nice, but at this point achievements are more accepted.

You obviously are a PS3bot. To say that the 360 is outclassed by the PS3 in every single way is just stupid.

Let's not even mention Live, RRoD exploits, and other things.

Btw, if so many people didn't want to buy a graphicially inferior product, why the heck is Wii in first place in hardware?

If you don't want to cause flame wars you should really avoid making ignorant posts like the ones you made above.

I own both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 and I will be the first to tell you that at this point, I'd much rather play my 360 than my PS3. Your only reasoning for PS3 being better than 360 is that it has a "superior library", which is a completely subjective thing to say in the first place and is bound to cause someone to flame you. I'm half tempted to flame you for that myself. 360 has an AWESOME back catalog of exclusive games to play: BioShock, Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden II, the Project Gotham series, Forza 2, Rez HD, Crackdown, Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey (kind of niche, but still), Geometry Wars HD, etc. etc. PS3 has what? Uncharted, MGS4 and Resistance? Ratchet and Clank? Everyday Shooter? Lair and Heavenly Sword (LOL these games are both awful)? Not exactly a strong comparison, now is it? Of course, any game that has online play will almost ALWAYS play better on 360 due to Xbox Live. I'm not saying this as a fanboy, it is pretty universally accepted that Xbox Live is a superior online service.

If you really want to get into it, at this point Xbox Live outclasses the PSN in almost every way possible. Even with the new 2.40 FW update, which as flashfox mentioned was carp PULLED because it was bricking PS3s (Mine survived the install), PSN is still not anywhere close to the level of quality that Xbox Live is.

Oh sure, you have your trophies now, but at the moment only 5 or so games even support it and its going to be a while before we see anymore games get patched for trophy support. A lot of developers aren't even going to patch their games for trophies, including Insomniac and Infinity Ward who developed Resistance and Call of Duty 4, respectively.

Sure you finally have your in-game XMB now, but its really not accomplishing much. You can send and receive messages during games now, but that's about the extent of it. There's still not even support for sending carp voice messages, so really, private chat in-game is basically a pipe dream for PS3 owners at this point. There's still not even support for cross-game invites! All of this stuff that I just mentioned 360 already has and is already doing 10 times better than PSN. Of course you have to PAY for Xbox Live, but in the end, that's what makes it a PREMIUM service. The money you spend on Xbox Live goes towards improving the service and continually adding new functionality.

Now, I will admit that I am a little biased towards the 360 because it was the first system I bought and I always have more fun with it. I'm not trying to totally rag on PS3 here, because I own one and I love it, but for anyone to say that the PS3 is better than 360 in every area is ignorant and clearly a byproduct of fanboyism. Each console has their strengths and weaknesses and while I'm glad you've decided to join in on the current generation of gaming I'd appreciate it if you'd refrain from making sweeping, moronic statements like you have here in the future.
