So i'm thinking around and came to a idea to make beywiki the center of Beyblade. I explain you:

It have so much Beyblade site the one or other is dead an the last news is added at 2004 oder 2003 but it have still some sites that are a bit actual. And to this site Beywiki must connect and talk with it. That they make a Button wich called "Forum" and this is linked to our Forum.
So all good and actually Beyblade Sites are connectet with the Beywiki Forum and our community get bigger and better.
I would help to make this.
Not only English sites but all sites you can find, german, spanisch, french all.

I hope you will think about it, i think we can do it

I think you're talking about affiliation. You'd have to talk to Brad about it since he's the webmaster, but I don't think it's needed right now considering the current state of the game.
I think branching out eventually and making friendly with other sites would be a good idea, but the timing just isn't right.

The game is sort of on its last legs right now, and while the announcement of the new series has certainly piqued people's interests, I don't think the game will really start to take off again until after the new series starts in Japan and abroad.

I think we should wait a few months until we're back in the swing of things before trying to affiliate with anyone.
yes but i think that it have some more blade outside of the forum and they are searching a forum like this i long time search a forum like this and i've found it with luck...

It's just a idea to make the beywiki forum the main forum for all bladers and all blade sites...
The fact of the matter is we have very little to gain from this right now. We are already the most active and I think most Bladers know about us. I can't really think of any other active Beyblade websites.
Yeah, he is right.
But if you consider that running a google search for, say, "beyblade", beywiki doesn't pop up immediately... it's probably good to have more links. Unless we get too much spam and retards.

I'm wondering about it, what about a link on wikipedia?
Yeah, I am pretty confused as to why we don't come up first. I'll think about some strategies we can use to gain more exposure.
Look, you've got a forum an a Forum is here to become bigger and everyone in this forum would like to have more bladers in this community, or anyone don't like this?

So why not to contact the most of "half-activatet" Sites, only if they don't used or somthing else, when people goes to toplist they came most to unactive site, and when they see the forum is activ then they come and register.

And the Idea with the new rank like AM(Approved member or somthing else) is good, because you can only become this rang when you post good things, and that brings the people to make good an helpfull posts and to get respect.

Immediately? I couldn't find it on the first 30 pages! The only mention of Beywiki was on a post Brad made on the MyBB forums. Even if you search "beyblade wiki", this comes up first: http://beyblade.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

This would be a good idea.

This is how "Advanced" works Smile
beyblade wikipedia needs to be mentioned on the frontpage.

We are 4th when searching for beyblade forums though. I think beyblade wikipedia and beyblade need to be emphisized more. We need to bomb.
Something occurs to me though; if we start attracting a LOT of new members, I think we'll need to have something like a "probation" period. Maybe, not allowed to make new topics until a certain point of time or something like that. So they can still ask questions (since I expect one major reason for members to join would be to find out more) but there's slightly less risk of spam?
I think that's a good idea in general, Nic. I'll think about it.
one idea is 200 posts/30 days to make a new topic

that would cut down on some uh, less intelligent threads and help people get the feel of the forum
I don't think this is a good Idea with one month until they can post a topic, that's to much.
When you make more publicite, what we for sure need, then you made more Moderator, i think much of the user would be a moderator. They look for no spam say warnings and when one person get 3 warnings hes banned or somthing else.
I think the rules are here to less, the rules must be include more things like spam or somthing else.

But when a new member can only write after he's doing 200 in one month he will leave for sure.
But you can made it like this
0 - 50 Post, he's a Newbie and he can be kicked simply
50 - X he's a member and are accepted
Hmm yeah, it's a *bit* harsh. But it's so hard to find a good balance! Or maybe, is it possible to set a limit on the number of topics they can post?

p.s. red_eyes I really like your custom user title!
We don't want people spamming so they can make topics sooner.
I was going to suggest posting only allowed after a certain time, but that would drive off a lot of members too =/
well maybe just a time period where theyre not allowed to make TOPICS, but still posts
Yea but the time dont must bee long, i dont know but we must make the community bigger and that dont help us.

I think a little bit more work isnt that horrible (or how i can say it?)

I dont know why it looks that all woud like to let this "family community" so how it is. I like such a community but i think community with a thema that are nealy dead will need more users, more active users.
I used to know so much about this search engine stuff and I came in here hoping I could really help but my memory seems to be failing me, heh.

Quickly reading over an article on the subject (aptly, the first google result) there seem to be fairly definitive ways to score higher on google. Someone should definitely give it a better read than I did, but a few things I noticed:

The front page of the wiki (and, I think, the front page of beywiki since the forum links to it and not vice versa – which by the way, I think is worth the time if its as easy to employ as it sounds) doesn't have beyblade OR beywiki as a keyword.

Every wiki page has
Quote:
[Article Title] - Beywiki.com
as a title.

This is kind of based on fragmentary memory so I might be way off on this one, but I think the respective pages would score way higher with a scheme of

Quote:[Article Title] - Beywiki.com, the beyblade encyclopedia
or something more readible. The point is, to get the word beyblade in there, because as I remember titles have a lot to do with scores.

The other thing is linkbacks which make you score higher too but with as few viable places to post those things it'll be tough. Maybe some mods should hit up some Model/Hobby forums?
In regards to Beywiki being hard to find i agree with fox, composer, and red eyes it took me days to find this site after squabbling about for Beyblade news. I'm willing to bet that over 50% of active bladers in the world believe that there is no such thing as an active beyblade forum anymore let alone one with alot of active members posting daily, because this was my belief before i ran into this site by fate. Before this all i did was watch keybladers vids on youtube and look at old beyblade forums that where active in 2004, so you can count me in the poll of people who thinks this site could use allot more exposure, just look at all the new members who have run into this site by luck and imagine how many more members we'd have if luck was not a requirement. Also the sooner we get more exposure the more people we can save from giving up on beyblade. The decision is your and your alone Brad, I'm not saying you should do this and I'm not saying you shouldn't I'm just giving my view on the matter and i don't want you feeling pressured, but I'd be willing to help if you decide to do this and could use me for anything.
It's not that I don't want Beywiki to get more exposure, it's that actually getting it is a lot harder than you may think. I would like nothing more than for Beywiki to be the top result when someone searches for Beyblade.
i just searched beyblade forums and this site was like 3rd on the list on google

and btw this site is awesome >:3
