the name refers to a friend of mines website, Mana Deprived. I got the idea based off of that.

2) no because the the monster behind the main characters are the monsters
that are considered to be part of them or their "spirit". I'm sure u understand why stardust and dark magician are where they are, but Yubel is considered to be part of Jaden, or his protecter

No it should be Neos
It's the centre of his entire deck
It's an elemental hero his original theme
It's the monster he uses most and even against Atem's Slifer during the final duel of GX.
Much like the Dark Magician is the centre of Atem's deck (at the end) and the way Stardust is the big bad in Yusei.
Yubel is actually fused with Judai now. It's not like they are seperate entities. He can see things and knows things regular people don't now. It was a very strange plot at the end. (I realize she's still a card in his deck and it has a "fusion" with his Kuriboh, but still.)
