You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
Important Update: I apologize for the change in number of participants. I believed we could have up to 40 people but unfortunately to be mindful of the other games happening that day at the shop, we have to keep the limit to 24. I still encourage people to come out, someone's bound to drop the day of the tournament.

Host: Kaboom!!!

Location: Tower of Games 5405 Indian River Rd ste A, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464

Start Time: Registration will begin at 12:30pm and the tournament will promptly begin at 1:00pm. If you are not present before registration ends and the tournament begins you will not be aloud to compete. There will still be free play aloud.

Format: This tournament will be Beyblade X 3v3 deck format. Each player must use 3 Beyblades with no repeating parts. Competitors are not required to use the same 3 Beyblades throughout the tournament just during the start and finish of their matches. Matches will be first to 4 points in the first stage and first to 7 points in the final stage.

Depending on the number of participants we will use one of the following systems to run the first stage of this tournament:

Group Round Robin (12–16 players)
Bladers are split into two evenly-sized groups and play against every other blader in their group. The top two players from each group advance to the final stage using Single Elimination.

Swiss (17 - 64 Players):
Bladers play 5-6 rounds. After the first round, bladers are paired based on their match history. Bladers with the highest records face each other, then the second-highest, etc. The top eight players advance to the final stage.

Stadium: The BX-10 Xtreme Stadium

Pre-Registration: You are highly encouraged to register online ahead of time. This requires a WBO account, which you can find more information about here: Account Registration Guide

Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring official Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblades of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

Also keep in mind this a ranked tournament but there will not be any ranked clauses as of now! Store credit will be awarded and other prizes TBA! Thank you and I hope to see you soon!
This event has been approved.
40 Gasp I can actually play this one then XD
Is the limited parts list going to be in effect during the tournament?

If we can actually get 40 people this will be incredible!

I don’t think so. It says that the ranked clause won’t be enforced.

Yeah hopefully the next event for November we can possibly do a Saturday later in the evening so we could have more people. It's all about managing space with the other games going down at the same time.
I joined in the hopes of being able to go. I have some crazy big stuff that week and need to be in the right headspace, so I may have to drop if I end up needing to hide away in my office prepping a case.

Hopefully you can make it! I need my rematch! If you can't it's all good. Hope your week goes well. And if you're competing this weekend at the Grand Prix, good luck!

Hey should probably let everybody know that I know the entry fee is five bucks but the last time I was there there was also a tax of like 30 cents so just in case you may want to bring an extra dollar
That's weird. I didn't play or pay so i didn't know myself. I've never played cards at this shop to know that actually, but thanks for the heads up!
