Event cap of 45 due to venue size (we've never turned anyone away if they arrive on time, but it does get crowded!)

BEYBLADE X RANKED TOURNAMENT!

Format: The format for this event is Swiss format 3 on 3. Each participant will play 5 rounds (6 if we have more than 32), and then the top 8 will compete in the finals, which will be DECK format.

Time: Doors open at 11AM; come early to practise combos!

As the tournament will start promptly at NOON, please plan to arrive by 11:30 AM. Registration will close at 11:55 AM. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue, and late comers cannot be added after the tournament begins. We expect to be done prelims by 3:00PM and finals by 3:30PM (added time as we are playing to 7 points for both First Stages AND Finals!

Rules Overview:
- You will need three (3) official beyblade X beys with no repeating parts. HASBRO X PARTS are allowed!

POINT BREAKDOWNS!
- 1 Point for spinout
- 2 Points for knockouts (over finish)
- 2 Points for bursts
- 3 points for an Xtreme knockout

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:

Banlist Variation: Metal Needle Bit Ban

• The following Bit may not be used in this tournament: Metal Needle

• First Stage Matches are played to 7 points for this Tournament.
  

RENT AN X BEY SET!
If you do not have your own Beyblade X beys yet, you will be able to rent a set at the event. This will be an additional $5 for the day. The beys must be returned after your match and picked up again when your next match is called.

The only banned part in this event is metal needle due to the part denting stadiums

It will depend on what is seen for its impact on the current stadiums! Hopefully being flat, it won't cause DMG.

So lately the Japan tournaments have banned parts is just if you use them your opponent needs to score 1 less point in battle per banned part are we going to do that?

No we aren’t doing that, they made that rule for a specific tournament that was in Japan a few weeks ago. Although the only banned part you can’t use in this tournament is metal needle from Shinobi Shadow.

No burst tournaments are planned at this moment! Hasbro parts are typically allowed for Burst tournaments , but Takara is also allowed so Hasbro doesn't have as good a chance.

This is my first tournament and I don’t want to assume anything but do the top three people who win get some type of prize or something, its fine if they don’t I just wanted to ask.

Yes we will have top 3 prizes, I think they will be these:
- Hasbro Dual pack 
- Shark Edge (thanks to Goichi!!)
- Driger Slash
First place will get first choice and so on!

There is no metal flat (yet).

Unfortunately I will have to back out of this tournament. We had a family emergency this weekend and I need to take care of responsibilities.
