Attention all Carolina bladers! We will be having back-to-back tournaments on August 19 in Granite Quarry, NC. This is the tournament page for the first event:
"The Anti-Drift Coalition: Burst GT (Featuring BDr Slander)"
Check-in, Registration, & Event Details
Tournament Check-in Details
- Check-in begins at 10:00 A.M. and ends at 10:45 A.M.
- Announcements & rule overview will start at 10:50 A.M. We will begin the tournament no later than 11:00 A.M.
- See more details under "Need-to-Know Information" below.
This tournament is a ranked Burst GT event. No equipment is required and all launchers and parts can be borrowed from the host. By signing up, all participants agree to take the "Gentleman's oath" before playing. The oath is a promise to not to use any variant of Drift/Bearing Drift. There is nothing I can do enforce this oath, but anyone who does break it may receive judgement from the community.
Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:
Banlist Variation: Unban of Selected Superking Parts
- The following Superking Parts may also be used in this tournament: Death, Curse, Abyss, Variant, First, Super, King, 1S, 1D, 4A, all Superking Chips and all Chip Cores (including Metal Chip Cores)
For this tournament, Beyblades that bounce back into play after exiting the Play Area will still be considered Knocked Out in accordance with the following definitions:
Play Area
- The Play Area is the area of stadium floor and space above it, bounded by stadium walls and exits (gaps in these walls through which Beyblades can pass into a pocket or out of the stadium entirely).
- Beyblades must be launched inside the Launch Area
- The Launch Area is the area of stadium floor bounded by the stadium walls and exits, or in the case of stadiums with shroud components the stadium floor directly below and bounded by the shroud’s top opening.
- In stadiums with entry ramp structures which slope towards the central Play Area (such as the Beystadium Triple Battle Type), these are also considered Launch Areas.
- A Beyblade is knocked-out when the majority of the Beyblade is outside of the Play Area.
Win Condition Point Values
In First Stage and final stage, you score point(s) when:
- The opposing Beyblade stops spinning (1 Point)
- The opposing Beyblade exits the BeyStadium (1 Point)
- The opposing Beyblade bursts (2 Points)
- The opposing Beyblade separates (2 Points)
Challonge Tournament Bracket
As always, during the tournament while we cannot give you a set time for when your next match will take place, you are welcome to follow along with the tournament bracket on Challonge. Challonge is the management tool we use to run the event.
*Challonge bracket to be added*
Prizing:
The first place finisher will receive a Takara Tomy B-142 Judgement Joker
LOCATION:
I have reserved the shelter for the tournament. I would also like to add that, although Google Maps will take you to the playground area of the park, we will be meeting under the shelter circled in the picture above.
Also, if you have a Takara Tomy Standard Stadium, please bring it. We don't necessarily need it as I have a couple, but it will make the tournament go faster.
