There is this old toy i was a fan of as a child called Battle strikers metal XS, basically it was like beyblade but the launchers had motors that were powered by 4 D batteries, the blades were the size of an adult hand and they had magnets ontop of them that you would control with a magnetic controller that would connect to your fingers.

I recently tried finding a specific kind of battle striker that eluded me for years called the Mecha FX line.
Their like regular battle strikers but they had gimmicks in the base that would activate if you attached an activater to the controller which would  let you activate their gimmick on command (I am not sure how this works yet, i think it may just be either a stronger magnet that pulls some clutch or a reverse polarity magnet to push something down) kind of emulating the special moves from the beyblade show.

Honestly I always thought they never released due to never find anyone owning them for a long time.

I believed that until a month ago when i found two of the three mecha FX battle strikers on ebay.

One where the gimmick was that you can use the activator on the striker to cause two contact points to shoot out the Striker called "Upper.Cut".

The other having a gimmick that causes the tip to switch from a sharp to flat and flat to sharp and back again mid battle when the activator is used called "Tip.Switch".

The problem was finding the third one, one that spun while the kid in the commercial was holding it in his hand somehow.

It took a while but i found a construction manual database that had the manuals for ALL battle strikers including the FX ones.

Apparently its a "Gyro.spin" battle striker that seems to have a gimmick similar to the engine gear system from beyblade G-revolution. Where you would wind the outside of the
Striker until it clicked and when in battle you could use the activator to unlatch a clutch giving it more spin.

I have been looking for this battle striker for a while now with no luck, no videos, no ebay, nothin.

The closest I could find was a very old website that seems to have sold it but has been sold out for a very long time.

I might as well get to the reason i'm making this post in the first place now,
Does anyone have any Battle Striker from the Mecha FX line with the mechanic "Gyro.spin" such as talonthor.FX or Viking.FX? I would love to know if anyone actually owns it and if my observations from just looking at the manual is correct or not.

Thank you.

From my experience, I've never ever found either of the Gyro Spin tops anywhere and there's no evidence that they existed outside of Toy Fair demos sadly. They did release a Talonthor, but it's only the XS version and never ever the Mecha FX version, and this goes for Viking FX too. It's the same case as that Spectre Metal XS, it's on the pamphlet but I've never seen it IRL.

I can definitely confirm that the other FX Strikers; Masumai, Dragun, Sabertooth and Black Widow were released, I own 3 out of 4 of them and I have seen Sabertooth, but yeah I have high doubts about the existence of either Gyro Spin gimmicked ones being officially in stores. It's a shame because it had the most interesting gimmick by far, I don't even know what the tip for the Gyro base looks like.
