Hello World Bladers!

Today we are turning your attention to a small but important rulebook update for the Metal Fight & Zero-G Formats. The new rule outlined below is a codification of what some Organizers  informally practice to keep their equipment safe - a complete ban on the MS Bottom regardless of wear state or brand.

Updates Overview
  • [IMPORTANT] Metal Fight & Zero-G Formats: Legal Equipment Update.

Metal Fight & Zero-G Format: Metal Sharp (MS) Bottom/Performance Tip Banned
The MS Bottom has for some time been feared, but not for the right reasons. This is an especially real fear with MS combos hopping around the stadium or being launched very aggressively at relatively fragile areas of play (our Beystadiums).

For the uninitiated, MS' gimmick is a completely exposed metal tip that comes to a rather sharp point, making it a serious hazard for relatively fragile plastic, Beystadiums being no exception here.

Because of its design and erratic performance the MS Bottom can cause irreparable damage to the stadium floor and renders said stadium illegal for tournament play. These qualities are only exacerbated by aggressive launch techniques.

For those familiar with the 12 Disk in Beyblade Burst, there is a similar restriction in place for this very reason - prominent and sharp metal contact points pose a threat to Blader and Organizer equipment alike.

Considering MS lacks competitive relevance, and the deep financial investment involved in Organizer's obtaining the necessary equipment to host events for their community, the WBO has added in the following exclusion to the Legal Equipment Section in both the Metal Fight Format Rulebook and Zero-G Format Rulebookeffective immediately:

The use of the MS Performance Tip is banned in this format.

Feedback?
If you have any feedback on these particular changes, or any questions or suggestions for further adjustments or additions, please post your thoughts below or in the WBO Organized Play Rules thread.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support of WBO Organized Play! We appreciate any and all feedback and are always looking to improve and clarify things where possible.
Also MS is terrible anyways. Thanks for saving our stadiums staff.
Rest in one singular piece, away from everything else for all time.
A tragedy for Burn Fireblaze fans, a huge relief for Stadium owners everywhere. A big thank you to the WBO Staff for this!
Very glad we got this done, thank you to everyone who made submissions. I don't think a part ban proposal has had unanimous support like this before - I think we all feel for not having our stadiums damaged when we're trying to host - this sort of thing can kill an entire scene if it takes out the only stadium in the area. Just good to see some respect for the hard work and investment our organisers put in to bring communities together.
Thank goodness this finally happened
I finally know why, thanks buddy!
I just made this account to make this reply; Is there any good replacement tips for MS? My current Stamina Beyblade (Earth Rex AD145MS) uses it to great effect due to the height and improved Stamina. I already tried WD and CS, and neither of them really worked.

MS has terrible balance, WD will perform noticeably better in the field. If you really want height you could try EDS, or a taller track like 160. But MS is one of the worst tips in the game tbh.

The thing is, as said before, I did try WD, but the height and the heightened Stamina allowed it to perform pretty darn well against my other beyblades that I'd consider to be competitively viable in limited. And, honestly, all of my plastic tips wear down like crazy due to how much I actually play with them, so the metal tip is usually better for prolonged life. but that's just me being biased to the funny metal tip.

At the end of the day, it's a rule that only affects WBO tournaments, and considering you quote "just made this account to make this reply", I'd hazard a guess that you haven't gone to any, so this really shouldn't affect you at all.
It's unfortunate to have any kind of limit especially in standard but I do understand especially since stadiums for metal fight can be very expensive.
