Nah, I don't think Rain Maker/Main Frame would be that cruel to say they were making three movies and not actually do that. Although I've read that it may be a (pardon the pun, it is the only way to say it) reboot of the series, rather than a continuation of the last arch in the series. It also will run into the problem of no longer having Tony Jay (voice of Megabyte) in this world.

Yeah it would if only they didn't end it but it was good for its time on the air.
