so I recently got a lot of metal fight beys and the performance tips looked different than some older ones I had and I can't tell if that just has to do with some being Hasbro or if they're fake

It isn't going to be easy to tell you if they are legitimate or not unless you provide pictures (upload to a site like Imgur and link them here). Hasbro did have a mold change with their tips where they reinforced more of the lower open section?
