Location

We'll likely be playing outside, in the gazebo attached to the front of the High Park Nature Centre.

This means that if you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, follow Colborne Lodge Dr. down until you'll see the large gazebo on the left-hand side. Check the red pin on the map image below if you're still unsure.

If we aren't in the gazebo out front or on the grass, check behind the Nature Centre as well, as there is another gazebo there.

If you have any questions about the location, time, or date, please feel free to post about it below.

Any updates to the venue location or rescheduling will be posted by me on the morning-of, at the latest. If you see nothing posted to the contrary, assume everything is continuing as outlined here.

NOTE: Public washrooms can be found just west of the Bloor St W entrance of High Park. There are no public washrooms available at the High Park Nature Centre. Do not knock on their door asking to enter. They don't like that.

Burst GT Experimental Format Info

The First Stage of this tournament will be played using the 1v1 Battle Format. The Final Stage will be played using WBO Deck Format.

Since this is an experimental and niche format, please review the V1.0 rules for the event here:

Compared to Burst Standard, this is what you'll have to know to not bring and try to play with for Burst GT Format:

Banned Layers
  • All Super King/Sparking System Layers (Takara-Tomy). Except for the following: Glide, Curse, Super, King, Variant, Death, Abyss, First.
  • All Dynamite Battle System Layers (Takara-Tomy)
Banned Forge Discs
  • All Super King/Sparking and Dynamite Battle System Forge Discs (Takara-Tomy)
Banned Chassis
  • All Super King/Sparking System Double Chassis.
Anything from before the Super King/Sparking era is eligible for you to use without restriction.

If you've attended the event and enjoyed the Burst GT format, be sure to leave feedback on the Burst GT Format Discussion Thread

Earlier in the week, when I proposed TIER ZERO, Sunday was expected to be the one sunny day of the weekend. I expect that because it is no longer going to be the case that Sunday is going to be a relaxed and balmy day, a lot of people would rather not participate tomorrow (hence a drop in participants).

I have said in the past that if I arrange an event and the weather turns out to be poor I will just reschedule. I won't make people play in conditions that aren't to their liking or have to commute from very far away just to get rained on.

Because of this, TIER ZERO will be rescheduled to next Saturday, June 18th.

I can still be there thankfully not on the 19th tho since it's fathers day.  but see all of you there!

Question: Can you use db launchers in a BGT Format Tournament?

yup, you can use DB launchers here Aced!
Are there prizes?

This is an unranked experimental format, so I have not arranged prizes. When it becomes ranked I will see to it that we have a couple.
will this be delayed since there aren't much people
,

I'd like to inform you all that I will be cancelling this event. Weather continues to be erratic (see the storms, wind gusts, and heat wave that have plagued us this week) and I don't want a small group of us to endure conditions that we don't have to.

Unfortunately I believe the next event I will be hosting is a non-experimental one, very likely ranked Burst Standard or perhaps ranked Metal Fight Limited. You'll be notified well in advance, unlike this more spontaneous event announcement.

In part? It certainly doesn't help turnout is low historically for BGT events. I do worry about the weather being unpredictable the day-of, especially given how today was. I would not like to have people exposed to 30+ degrees, harsh wind, or storms. Thank you for asking Aced!

If you were really looking forward to Burst GT, make sure to attend BEYBLADE NORTH's Friday Event. There will be a lot more of us there, in a sheltered environment, and likely many curious first-time spectators as well!
This matches for event have now been processed.
