Does Greatest Raphael's halo have to activated during battle? Because i went up against a friend who used Greatest Raphael and i beat him but he claimed that" i didnt win because the halos didn't activate." is that true?

Well, it's supposed to active Mid-Battle but sometimes my Greatest's Armor doesn't rise in the battle. Also just because the Armor Raises doesn't really mean anything in a battle as far as I know. Raphael is bad at Same-Spin but comes with really good parts but it is a Pretty Good Bey. But Raphael's Strong Suit is mainly against Lefts I think.

You have to launch it at a decently high speed for the gimmick to activate. Although in my experience the halo won't go up sometimes. There could also be other variables to why your friend lost.

No, as far as I know there's no beyblade that "needs" to have its gimmick activate in order for a battle to be valid. Although, active gimmicks (like Raphael's halo, Shot's jump ability, and things like the Limit Break system) do need to be reset after each battle.
"i didnt win because the halos didn't activate." You did win. His claim is false. Whether or not the halo activates has no bearing on whether or not the outcome is valid.

Guilty is a really solid layer for attack type combos. You just gotta find the drivers that are good with it and learn how to properly launch an attack type.
