Yard Metal is a Performance Tip released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatchinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of Booster Big Bang γenesis 0 Yard Metal on January 25th, 2020.
==Description==
Yard Metal is a low-lying driver reminiscent of Defense, but with a free-moving metal ball. In theory, the free-moving ball is meant to reduce the chance of being KO'd, however, this effect is negated by the tendency of all free-spinning ball Performance Tips to move around the edge of the stadium. Furthermore, the metal ball is meant to increase stamina. This effect is achieved, but it is almost negligent because of Yard Metal's biggest flaw. What makes Yard Metal worse than other free-moving Performance Tips is the fact that it scrapes rather easily when the combination using it wobbles, reducing stamina significantly. This scrape risk is not offset by any major benefits. Therefore, Yard is not recommended over Orbit Metal or Atomic.

Yard Metal may have similar stamina to Orbit Metal, however, this is not something that happens in practice, due to Yard Metal scraping, rendering Yard Metal inferior to it and Atomic. Therefore, in any format, Yard Metal is recommended for collection purposes only.
