I made a video to show proof https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dnr_0yyyqSY
That happened to 3 of my launchers and 1 of my DB launchers. I fixed it by just slowly turning the part where you attach your bey to and de-teaching the pieces of the launcher and re-attaching them. Kind of like how sometimes your iPad freezes so you hit the restart button, just disassemble the launcher, assemble it and slowly turn the part where your bey goes on. If that doesn’t work then you broke it. And trust me when you get your next launcher don’t try to pull as hard as you can I have a bunch of launchers that broke because I tried to to that. Before you launch a a bey, slowly pull the string out and let it go to make sure the gears aren’t caught.
I have 4 destroyed Power Gears. They suck. (All broke within a week, all different sellers, all TT)

Wow. That’s a bummer. I only have 1 power gear so I try to treat it gently, after all the launchers I’ve broken I’ve learned my lesson. No more breaking launchers!

I know what's your problem, I had that but no more since I used this method. My problem is the launcher does not retract probably and it creates weird sounds in right spin mode. You just simply add a little bit of oil into the centre of the large gear inside the launcher (you have to unscrew some stuff). After unscrew you would like to take the large gear out and add oil to the centre of the gear (both sides), any oil is good but make sure to use high-quality ones. I'm not talking about the gear in the gear unit, I'm talking about the largest gear inside the big launcher. And then just place the part probably and you're good to go. This method might seem silly but after trying it my launcher works totally fine, retracting smoothly no matter what gear, right or left spin. I did this for 3 of my DB launchers, all of them use power gear and this method worked for all 3.

Thank you so much.

Remember to update your launcher status here after trying my method for other people to know.
Reducing friction within the unit might do the trick, but as another user mentioned, full disassembly and reassembly should fix the issue for ya!

However, if you are going to use any sort of oil, only use synthetic lubricant or white lithium grease. Many commercial oils will become sticky over time and your launcher will get gunked up with tiny micro plastic shavings from regular use. Synthetic lubricants are much less likely to accumulate this kind of build up and they are easier to clean off/re-apply.

Additionally, using a "dry" wax-based lubricant(typically used for bike chains) can work wonders without gumming up the unit and can be re-applied as necessary.
Maybe you launched too hard? I often hard launch my Beys becuz I love me some SPEED but the launcher breaks quickly too.

I got the launcher fresh and brand new and it already had issues before I even use it.
I also had issues, but mine were working fine, until I broke one of my power gears. I only have one now.
I take better care of my DB launcher than my other launcher cause my old launcher was the Master Diabolos string launchr and its wearing out fast
No oil in launchers used in tournaments.
"Foreign Substances & Modification: Beyblade and launcher parts cannot be painted, coated, or physically modified in any way that affects their performance except in the methods explicitly outlined in the green section below. Bladers who intentionally modify the performance illegally of their equipment will be disqualified and potentially banned from future WBO events."
Green section below includes Outer Wall Stadium Crack repairs, Applying a thin coat of Nail Polish to Stickers, Marking Parts, Painting or Decorating Launchers/Grips/Accessories, Swapping Launcher Components, and using Broken BeyLauncher Handles.

Oil is not allowed to be applied to launchers used in WBO tournaments.
I found that when attempting to launch an ultimate combo (I believe it was ultimate Valkyrie2 on metal Xceed’), the power gear would just break. I don’t know if it was some part of the combo, or if it was the way I attached the combo (I don’t think it was this one because other combos didn’t break my launcher this way). This happened while testing at home and right before a tournament, so now I have no power gears currently.

Can you send me a picture of the bottom part of both your power gear and spin gear? Like the side that touches the launcher itself. Also please send me a picture of the top and bottom of the launcher without any gears on it?

I only have 1 gear (Power) left after my other one broke. And I can’t replenish it as easily ....
