Paradox is a Forge Disc released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatchinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of B-156 Random Booster Vol. 18 on December 26, 2019.

==Description==

Paradox is a rather wide disc, consisting of two components. The first component is a rather small disc, which holds the prongs that insert into the layer, and is entirely made of plastic. The second is a rather wide ring, containing metal on the outer parts, as well as 5 plastic blades. These two parts allow for the gimmick of Paradox: The outer ring can be placed on the inner disc so that the blades either point upwards or downwards. The upwards mode, additionally, is only compatible with the Naked Layer Base.

The unfortunate width of these blades means that Paradox scrapes often on the lower oriented mode. Additionally, it is rather light compared to other options. This can be used for your advantage on LAD centric drivers, such as Rise and Mobius, where they want to stay up in order to equalize. However, where it truly shines is on the Naked layer base. In the upward mode, it compliments it perfectly, in a way that allows the Naked base to be hit less. However, this setup is rather light, even for a Gatchinko Beyblade.

==Recommended Combinations==

Naked Longinus/Spriggan/Diabolos 2 Paradox Xtend+/Bearing Sen/Goku works as an equalizer combo, able to work well against right-spinning Beyblades. It is a rather light combo, so any combo utilizing the Judgement or Zwei layer bases has the potential to Knock-Out this combo, but if it is not knocked out, it does very well among other GT combos.

==Overall==

Paradox is rather light and bulky, leading to a lot of scraping and not much use in the downwards mode. It should exclusively be used with the Naked Layer Base in the Upwards mode. However, it is rather light for the current metagame. Therefore, Paradox is recommended for collection purposes only.
Where's Diabolos 1?
(Also here's my take)
Paradox is a Forge Disc released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of B-156 Random Booster Vol. 18 on December 26, 2019.

==Description==
Paradox is a rather wide disc, consisting of two components. The first component is a rather small disc, which holds the prongs that insert into the layer, and is entirely made of plastic. The second is a rather wide ring, containing metal on the outer parts, as well as 5 plastic blades. It is essentially the Burst Counterpart to the Metal Saga's Boost Disk 145 Spin Track, where the ring can be assembled to face upwards or downwards, with the former only working on Naked, known as Defense and Stamina Modes respectively.

In theory, Paradox's design would give it a Low Centre of Gravity and high centrifugal force when facing downwards while enhancing Naked's Defense when set up on it. While this is true to a certain extent, the Blades are too large, so much so that they cause a major scrape hazard, as well as its relative light weight compared to similar parts such as Vanguard or 00Wall. However, this mode also pairs up well with LAD centric drivers, such as Rise and Mobius, as like Wall, causes the combination stay upright longer in order to equalize. Paradox truly shines when paired with the Naked layer base, as in the upward mode, it compliments it perfectly, in a way that allows the Naked base to be hit less and take less recoil, though the combined weight of the 2 is still rather miniscule compared to other Defense options such as Cho-Z Spriggan, Hell Salamander and Archer Hercules.

==Use in Spin-Equalization combinations==
Paradox can be used in the spin equalisation combination Naked Longinus/Spriggan/Diabolos 2 Paradox Xtend+/Bearing Sen/Goku. The synergy between Naked and Paradox allows it to reduce recoil from opponents, combined with the strong teeth and heavy weight and OWD of Sen/Goku compensate for Bearing's weak spring lock, allowing it to be able to work well against right-spinning Beyblades. However, it is a rather light combo, so it easily knocked out by commonplace Attack staples using Judgement and Zwei.
==Overall==
While Paradox's bulky nature would make it similar to Wall and be top-tier for spin-equalisation in the downwards position, its lighter weight makes it inferior to both Vanguard and 00Wall, and later Over, Giga and Tapered for such a use, while the upward position doesn't increase Naked's Weight significantly enough to compete against other Defense parts. Therefore, Paradox is recommended for collection purposes only.
