Chapter 27: Valhalla Versus Requiem!

{The next day, December 21st, 2022 at Valhalla’s Headquarters.”
Baki: “Are you four ready?”
Baki, Lucy, Finn, War and Neusa stood in Valhalla’s Battle Hall, waiting for Van and his team.
Finn: "I couldn’t be ready-ier!"
War: "Let's finish this"
The doors opened and Van's team comes in.
Baki: “Are you ready, Van?”
Van: “Ready to crush you? Of course.”
Then both teams walked to the benches, and sat down.
War: “Hey Baki, who’s going first?”
Finn: “Let him think, he won’t need your voice plaguing his head.”
War: “What did you say!?”
Finn: "*copying rewinding tape sounds* He won't need your voice plaguing his head"
Lucy looked at them both, with a death stare.
Lucy(Whispering): “Don’t disturb my prince—our captain, or I’ll punch you both.”
Both (Scared): “Yes, ma’am!”
Baki: “Um, Neusa, would you mind going up first?”
Neusa: “Of course not!”
Neusa ran up, and Kai stood on the other side.
Kai: “Your that Brazilian Queen, right?”
Neusa(Excited): “Of course!”
Kai: “Prepare to lose that title!”
Kai slammed Vulcan onto his launcher, and Neusa put Notus onto her launcher aswell.
Baki: “Rules are first team to three points wins. One point will be awarded for every win your team acquires.”
Van: “Sounds normal, but after two one-on-ones, we’ll do three two-on-twos.”
Baki: “Alright.”
Baki(Mind): “It’s pretty obvious that he’s planning the ultimate team for the two-on-twos, I need to make perfect teams!”
Baki began thinking but every match up he made, the bladers didn’t go well. He began gritting his teeth.
Lucy pointed his check and said.
Lucy(Concerned): “Baki, you good? I’m worried about you, with this leader position it seems like it’s hard on you.”
Baki opened his eyes, and saw Lucy sitting right next to him, her face showing concern.
Baki(Frustrated): “I can’t do it, every team those guys have will beat us.”
Lucy: “What if we team up?”
Baki got flustered and said.
Baki(Flustered): ‘Well that’s good, and I was totally thinking of that.”
Lucy pointed his head giggling.
Lucy: “Your so skittish Baki, lossen up a bit, or else how will you skate with me tomorrow?”
Baki: “Your right, thanks Lucy.”
Both: “Go Shoot!”
{Notus and Vulcan hit the stadium floor, and Notus took the center, while Vulcan sped around the outer ridge.}
Kai: “Now, Burning Shoot!”
{Vulcan began barraging Notus, and it clicked once.}
Neusa: “How are we losing spin already!?”
Kai: “That’s the sheer power of Vulcan! Now, Vulcan!”
{Vulcan’s avatar awakened, and it picked it’s hammers up and hit Notus with them.}
{Vulcan hit Notus, and threw in into the far wall, and Notus lost more spin.}
Neusa: “Alright then! Mistral Gust!
{Then Neusa drift on it’s Accessio driver’s pom plate, and shot towards Vulcan.}
Kai: “Perfect, Hammer Impact!”
{When Notus hit Vulcan, it slammed into Vulcan’s hammer, and Vulcan shot Notus into the wall, bursting it.}
Baki: “That’s a burst, so Neusa loses.”
Kai: “Loser!”
Kai said while sticking his tongue out, and Neusa called out.
Neusa: “Why you little, I’ll pulverize you!”
Baki and War held Neusa back and brought her to the bench.
Finn: “Alright, Vulcan had the orbit closer to the sun. Who’s next?”
Baki: “Um... I was thinking maybe... um...”
War: “You should pick me, I can beat them!”
Finn: “Shut it War!”
Lucy: “Can you two shut it! Seriously, just break it up, make amends and become friends.”
War and Finn looked to Lucy. Then they looked at each other.
Finn: "There’s two of us, and one of her..."
Then Baki spoke up, cutting Finn.
Baki: “Alright War! Show us your willing to break your past with Van.”
War: “You can count on me, Baki.”
War walked up to the stadium, and on the other side stood, Gemma and his bey, Elite Gladius.
Gemma: “Former Teammate War, horrible to see you as my opponent.”
War: “Honestly, it’s worse for me to see you.”
Gemma: “I can’t believe you’d join them.”
War: “Shut it, it’s battle time.”
War and Gemma put their beys onto their launchers, and prepared to launch.
Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Gladius took center, while Warrior ran around the outer ridge. War had launched on a angle, where the metal tip would make Warrior more aggressive.}
Baki sat there, and noticed how Gemma had set up a camera to record the match for the world.

{At BC Sol’s Headquarters.}

Shu: “Alright Valt, the Yacht is ready for everyone, you’re inviting to the Yacht Battle Royale.”
Valt: “Alright, have you seen this battle?”
Shu walked over and looked onto the screen, and saw the score.
Shu: “So, Keith’s team is losing?”
Valt: “Well, yeah. I feel like War could win this one.”

{In the Kantou Region Airport.}

???: “Woah, so War’s battling now?”
The girl walked over to the screen, and watched the battle between War and Gemma.
???: “It’s been forever since we talked, I wonder if he remembers me.”
The girl walked away from the airport, and once she exited the airport, Byran stood there.
Bryan: “Took you long enough, War was waiting for you!”
???: “Sorry, he’s good right?”
Bryan: “Of course he is. So your, Himawari right?”
Himawari: “Yeah, I am his childhood friend.”
Bryan: “Alright, let’s go. Engine’s warm, which is good for the dead of winter.”
Bryan entered his car, and Himawari followed.

{At Valhalla’s Headquarters.}

War: “Let’s go, Warrior!”
Gemma: “Gladius, keep him away!”
{Warrior kept landing blows, on Gladius’ rebound blades, not making any damage.}
Then War grit his teeth and called,
War: “Warrior, now! Eternal Sync!”
{Warrior’s avatar appeared, and swung his sword, cutting through the mist.}
War(Sync): “Crush through with Immortal Blade!”
{Warrior rammed into Gladius, bursting it.}
Gemma: “Do I really lose this much? I seem like the filler character in a team.”
Van: “I guess War wins that battle.”
War: “Let’s go, one point for Valhalla!”
Finn: "You did decent"
Baki: “Now it’s time, for the duo battles.”
When Gemma returned to Van, Van said.
Van: “Now, for the duo battle 1 I want Payne and Obito up.”
Obito: “Yes Van. Payne, let’s go.”
Payne: “Shut your mouth, suck-up.”
Finn and War walked up, as Lucy said.
Lucy: “You two better work together, or I’ll punch you both.”
Both: “Y-Yes ma’am!”
Finn (nervous): "You’re scary you know?"
Lucy pretends to try giving him a punch, and Finn quickly tries to cover him with his arms.
War and Finn stood up at the stadium, while Obito and Payne were arguing, and Finn spoke up.
Finn: “You know, you're not that bad.”
War(Proud): “Really? I thought you hated me?”
Finn(Proud): “Yeah, I guess. I didn’t like how the enemy joined us... And that one time where you scared the soul out of my sister. But you’ve proven after that battle, you're more than useful.”
The two laughed and readied their launchers.
Obito(Irritated): “Don’t get in my way, Payne.”
Payne(Irritated): “You don’t get in my way!”
Finn: "I've seen this tape before..."
The two readied their launchers.
Finn: "War, launch straight"
War: "Ok?"
Everyone called out.
Everyone: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Phoenix, Orion, Pisces and Warrior hit the stadium floor, and Pisces and Phoneix began clashing for the center, while Warrior and Orion shot around the outer ridge.}
Payne: “I’ll take the center! Everburn Crash!”
{Phoenix shot off the Tire Driver and slammed into Pisces, and Pisces flew backwards into the wall. Orion then hit the wall, and changed paths towards Warrior.}
Obito: “We’ll send him out of here, Zodiac Upper!”
{Orion hit Warrior, and Warrior shot out of the stadium.}
War: "Hey! Finn! Why did you-"
Finn: "Calm down, you'll see"
{Orion drift on it’s Asteroid Driver. And changed courses towards Pisces. Finn looked at their tragectory and grinned}
Payne: “He’s my prey, not yours Obito!”
Obito: “We’re a team, Payne.”
Payne: “Oh, shut it! Everburn Crash!”
Obito: “I’ll get the kill, Zodiac Shot!”
{Both Phoenix and Orion went to attack, and hit each other, Orion bursting Phoenix, but it was knocked out.}
Finn: “Ta-da, I won by doing nothing!”
Obito: “Van! This son of a-!”
Van’s face wore a frown, and he called out.
Van: “Sit back down. Both of you.”
Payne and Obito felt Van’s piercing red eyes through their souls, and they sat down.
War: "How did you knew this would happen?"
Finn: "Experience"
Baki: “It’s our turn, Lucy.”
Baki and Lucy got up, and their hands brushed against one anothers.
Both blushed, and walked up to the stadium, where Van and Kai stood.
Van: “Kai, let’s take the both down.”
Kai: “I got it, sir!”
Everyone readied their launchers, and beys.
Everyone: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Loki, Bahamut, Vulcan and Valkyrie hit the stadium floor, and Bahamut took center, while Loki stayed near the center. Both Valkyrie and Vulcan circled the outer ridge.}
Kai: “Now weaken Loki! Burning Shoot!”
{Vulcan rushed towards the center, but Loki hit Vulcan away, taking two clicks.}
Lucy: “We’ll keep Baki safe, Loki! Fazing Shoot!”
{Loki hit the rubber on the Faze Driver, and shoot towards Vulcan, pushing it into the wall.}
Lucy: “Don’t let up! Disaster Spear!”
{Loki hit Vulcan again and launched it into the far wall. And Vulcan lost a good amount of stamina.}
Kai: “Dammit!”
Van: “Ragh! Dark Sync and Calamity Sword!”
{Calamity Valkyrie entered Dark Sync, and rushed to Bahamut.}
Baki: “We won’t let you break our defense! Bahamut, Dynamic Sync!”
{Then right before Valkyrie hit Bahamut, Baki and Bahamut entered Sync, and got ready to accept the hits.}
{Valkyrie hit Bahamut, and clicked it twice, and Bahamut began transforming.}
Baki(Sync): “Dynamic Shield! Our unbreakable defense!”
{Bahamut parried Valkyrie away, and Valkyrie hit the floor, and it’s driver retacted.}
Van(Sync): “Now then! Calamity Rush!”
{Rush’s rubber hit the stadium floor, and Calamity Valkyrie rushed back and began it’s aggressive flower pattern, throwing Bahamut around.}
Lucy: “No, Loki!”
{Loki drift on Faze’s rubber, and shot towards the center, while Vulcan scraped on the floor for a last hit on Loki, making it slightly change the route. It then stopped spinning.}
Lucy(Nervous): “Loki, we’ll burst Valkyrie! Disaster Impulse!”
{Loki shot to the center to hit Valkyrie, but instead of hitting it, it gets in between Valkyrie and Bahamut}
Van(Sync): “Fine by me! Either way, I’ll shatter you! Calamity Sword!”
{Valkyrie hit Loki into the floor, and Loki burst. Then Loki yelled out.}
Loki: “Lucy, I don’t feel quite right.”
Lucy: “Loki! What’s wrong?”
Loki: “I think Valkyrie’s dama---”
{Then Loki’s layer broke into two pieces and hit the ground, and Lucy fell to her knees, and began tearing up.}
Loki (fading away): "Oouuuuch..."
Baki looked at her, the girl who likes him. He grit his teeth, and his eyes went from his normal appearance to a aggressive look as he yelled.
Baki(Angry): “How dare you! Bahamut, we’ll beat Valkyrie, Dynamic Crush!”
{Bahamut roared out, and drift on the outer ridge of Atomic, and shot towards Valkyrie, but Van grinned and called out.}
Van(Sync): “Ha ha ha! This is the end, Calamity Upper!”
{Valkyrie hit Bahamut, and launched it into the air, bursting it, Baki gasped, and Kai yelled out.}
Kai: “Hell yeah! Requiem wins!”
Van(Satisfied): “There’s no point in continuing, a team went for revenge but won one match. Pathetic.”
Baki fell to the ground, and looked at the burst parts of Bahamut, while Lucy was still crying.
Neusa: "It happens sometimes Lucy, you just need to... get over it?"
Van’s team left, but he still stood there and said.
Van: “I believe this era of blading is mine.”
Then the door flew open, and a familiar face showed.
Keith(Pissed): “This is too far! I’m tired of you, breaking beys! I swear I’ll take you down!”
Van(Evil): “With what bey? You quit right?”
Keith was then pierced by Van’s eyes, and he began shaking, and relived the events of Destruction Kratos’ end.
Irene hugged him, and said.
Irene: “Keith, don’t think about that. Instead think about me, and all your friends.”
Keith turned to Van, and called out.
Keith: “Then I’m back in. Consider the leader of Valhalla back!”
Van exited, and Keith walked back inside of the house, and grabbed the new Kratos, Baki, Lucy and Irene had made.
Keith: “Kratos, lend me your power once again.”

Keith and Irene stood in front of the bey stadium, and Keith grabbed his launcher, and put Kratos on.
Keith: “This feels weird.”
Irene: “Yeah, it does.”
Then Keith grabbed his ripcord, and got into his position, but then thought about it and said.
Keith: “Actually, babe. Would you help me with a new launch style?”
Irene(Mind): “He just called me babe! Eee!”
Keith poked Irene’s and asked.
Keith: “Irene, you there?”
Irene: “O-oh yeah, babe!”
Keith smiled and walked back, and said.
Keith: “Alright, I’ll try this one.”
Keith ran forward, jumped up and grabbed his ripcord, and launched Kratos.
Irene: “That one didn’t suit you.”
Keith: “Yeah, I want something that suits me.”
Then the two practiced for two hours, and Keith kept saying they were bad, until his 100th attempt.
Keith ran forward, jumped up lower, and spun around, landing on his right foot, and twirling to face the stadium launched Kratos, and spun again, stopping himself with his right hand.
Irene(Excited): “That was your best one!”
Keith: “I liked it too, now let’s battle for real.”
Irene smiled, and was glad to see her boyfriend back to normal.
Both: “3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!”
{Both beys hit the stadium floor, and Keith’s ripcord snapped, at the sheer power of Keith’s new launch and Kratos’ new power.}
{Ifrit took center, while Kratos ran on the outer ridge.}
Irene: “Keith, let me explain your new Kratos.”
Irene: “It’s Core has a Shoot Burst Stopper, which you can only activate with a strong shoot. The blade evolves, from spring loaded blades to rubber attack points and your Fused Driver has four choices: A soft rubber five-sided star, for Attack. A small free rotating metal ball for Defense. A Pom plate for your Stamina, and a Metal Sharp surrounded by soft rubber for your balance.”
Keith: “You guys must’ve worked hard on Kratos. That’s why I need to make it up to you guys.”
Irene: “And doesn’t he need a new name?”
Keith: “Yeah, Mythical Kratos, for the Mythical power we have together.”
{Then Kratos shot to the center, and began it’s flower pattern, and Keith called out.}
Keith: “Alright, awaken Kratos!”
{Kratos glew, and his avatar appeared. His gripped his new axes, and swung them, it’s armor gleamed gold, and Kratos called to Keith.}
Kratos: “Good to see you again Keith!”
Keith: “Same here Kratos!”
Irene smiled and called out,
Irene: “Alright, let’s go all out, Blazing Sync and Erupting Claws!”
{The rubber on Eruption glew, and when it hit Kratos, it shot Kratos back a little, but Kratos shot back to Ifrit.}
Keith: “Alright, Mythical Bound!”
{Kratos hit Ifrit with it’s bound blade, and shot it away from center and Keith called out.}
Keith: “This is getting fun, God Sync!”
{Then Keith and Kratos entered Sync, and began clashing with the Synchronized Ifrit and Irene.}
Keith(Sync): “Let’s go!"
Irene(Sync): ‘We won’t lose!”
{Then both beys launched into the air, and hit the ground, showing they were on equal power.}
Keith: “That was epic, you’ve grown Irene.”
Irene blushed and twirled her hair, while replying.
Irene: “Thanks, it’s only because you’ve been here to support me.”
Keith walked over and gave Irene Ifrit, and smiled and she smiled back.
Then Keith brushed her hair to the side, and kissed her, he moved back, a few seconds later and said.
Keith: “That’s for being with me through all of this, I love you Irene.”
He entered the house area of Valhalla, and Irene put her fingers to her mouth, and thought.
Irene(Flustered Mind): “Oh my god, he actually kissed me! That was too smooth!”
She ran to her room, and hid her head in her pillow.

{At BC Sol}

Valt, Shu and Free got onto the Yacht, and began setting up the stadiums.
Valt: “This will be amazing Free, do you have the blader selected?”
Free: “Yep, all 22 of the bladers will be contacted today.”
Shu went inside the ship, and went downstairs to meet up with his wife Rosalina and his twins Shi and Sei.
Free saw, Kristina at the front of the ship, and he walked up to her.
Free: “Hey, Kristina.”
Kristina: “Oh hey, Free? How have you been?”
Free: “I’ve been fine, I adopted this one kid a bit ago now. His name is Bryan.”
Kristina: “Woah, you didn’t seem the type for kids.”
Free: “Yeah, but he kinda gave me a different vibe.”
Kristina looked to the ground, and asked.
Kristina(Sad): “If he gave you a different vibe, then why did we break up, when I got pregnant with Yuito?”
Free looked away, and remembered back, 16 years ago, a bit after Rashad and Bell’s final battle.

{16 years ago, BC Sol Headquarters.}

Free entered Kristina’s room with his Vanish Fafnir in hand, he had just finished battling with Valt and Ultimate Valkyrie.
Free: “Hey, Kristina. How you feeling?”
Kristina turned around, and smiled walking over and hugging Free.
Free: “You know, all because we’re dating, doesn’t mean you have to hug me every time you see me.”
Kristina: “Well I like too.”
Free smiled a bit, and Kristina gasped and pointed out.
Kristina: “Hey you barely smile! You do like when I hug you.”
Free: “What smile to you mean?”
Free got out of Kristina’s hug and sat down on the chair and asked.
Free: “So why did you call me up here?”
Kristina: “Well, I actually have news for you.”
Free sat back, and he took his arm brace off.
Free: “Alright, shoot.”
Kristina blushed and said
Kristina: “I’m pregnant with our child.”
Free’s eyes expanded, and he said.
Free: “Kristina, I…”
She hugged him and began crying when Free said.
Free: “I don’t really want a kid right now.”
Kristina moved back, and asked.
Kristina: “Wait what?”
Free got up and said,
Free: “I’m don’t think a kid is a good thing for us right now. I think we should break up.”


{Present}

Free: “Yeah, I remember.”
Kristina: “Yuito’s a good kid. He run’s straight A’s, and is a top tier blader in BC Sol, but he wonders who his father is.”
Then behind Free, a boy walked up and touched his spine.
Free: “Huh?”
Bryan: “Yo, Dad. I had no clue you came back here.”
Bryan waved to Kristina and jumped onto the Yacht’s railing, and stood on it.
Kristina: “So he’s your adopted son?”
Free: “Yeah, he’s 18 and blades with his bey, Criminal Baphomet.”
Kristina lied her hand on Free’s shoulder, and said.
Kristina: “Could we try going out again?”
Free: “I was going to ask you the same, and maybe I could tell Yuito.”
Yuito: “Tell me what?”
Free and Kristina turned around, frightened by Yuito’s sudden appearance.
Kristina: “Yuito!? What are you doing here, I thought you were with Satsuka training?”
Yuito: “I was, but she got tired and called it quits for the night.”
Free: “Hey, you’re the kid I battled in the Tournament a few months ago.”
Yuito: “Yeah, you're Free. I heard a lot about you from my mom. You're so cool.”
Free looked down and said.
Free: “No, I’m not really.”
Bryan jumped from the railing, and said.
Bryan: “Yo, who’re you?”
Yuito looked up, and saw Bryan, he had hair similar to Free’s but shorter and a dark pink.
Yuito: “I’m Yuito Kuroda, and I’m 16.”
Bryan: “Well, I’m Bryan De La Hoya, and I’m 18.”
The two shook hands, and Free said.
Free: “Yuito, I know who your dad is.”
Yuito turned to Free, his eyes curious with that knowledge, and Kristina grabbed Free’s shoulder.
Yuito(Desperate): “Please tell me!”
Free stood there, and said.
Free: “I’m your father, and I’m a douche bag.”
Yuito: “Wait, the Free De La Hoya is my father?”
Kristina walked forward and confessed.
Kristina: “Yeah, he’s your father. We had you after Bell beat Rashad, but Free didn’t want children then, and we broke up. Which is why I told you, your father was important to me, but didn’t want the burden.”
Yuito: "Good one guys."
Free: "It is serious"
Yuito’s mind became split between two feelings.
Yuito(Mind): “How the hell, am I supposed to feel!? I’m happy my dad is Free, and I finally know. But at the same time, he left Mom all those years, ago but now likes kids.”
Free pulled Bryan, Yuito and most importantly Kristina into a family hug, and said.
Free: “I’m sorry, for what I’ve done. I’m not asking to be forgiven. But I want to be a family.”
Yuito then decided that he was both.
Yuito(Mind): “This is nice.”
Bryan, looked at Kristina and Yuito, and thought about having a mom and younger brother now.
Kristina cried into Free’s shoulder and said.
Kristina(Crying): “That’s all I want.”
Everyone then got together, and decided to be the De La Hoyas.
