I find it funny that Ultimate Valkyrie uses Ev' in the battle, even though the stock combo is V'. The homages back to the previous designs of Valkyrie are pretty cool, but I don't understand why they didn't take the time to put in Cho-Z Valkyrie.
Overall I had really good nostalgia for Valt back in Season 1 after seeing this episode.

No, it has variable'. Just a red recolor which makes it look deadly close to Ev'

I still can't believe the anime used Ev' as the tip. Hopefully they'll fix it in the next episodes.
Spoiler (Click to View)
I had to go back to check if the tip was Ev' or not because I couldn't believe what I was seeing until then lol
Even in the next episode preview the tip is Ev'.

Yeah i just went back and rewatched the episode, yep Valkyrie definitely uses Evolution instead of Variable'. It probably is just an animation error though.
Dec. 10, 2021 4:11 PM
With how low the disc is, Evolution is a better pick. Variable would scrap.

This episode is basically all about valt legacy and for me personally this episode doesnt really delivers. First of all i kinda feel like the flashback that were shown was 50% just a random screenshot of valkyrie and not valt experience weilding each one and they didnt show valkyrie being rendered but instead we got a glorious loading screen lol which is kinda ashame but its whatever and also they skipped ChoZ valkyrie LOL. The other problem that i have with this episode is how the pacing kinda felt a bit rushed there are like some scene where they kinda like skip 1 step. The battles, so before the bttle we got to see ranzo trolling bell which was honestly just peak revenge and valt getting a new launch is rad as always tho not the best but still. The battle itself here is kinda weak since 50% of it was bell just imagining vs ultimate like why tho lol but is still enjoyable eslacially with the new attack sequance from valt.
At the end of the day this episode kinda meh for me there just isn't that much good execution i this episode which kinda makes it passable. do i enjoyed it yes do i tjink it worth to watch eh not really imo

Animation errors are common so I'm not super surprised. The battle was just a Ultimate Valkyrie showcase, however this was very obvious as that happens wit the debut of every single Beyblade in Burst. I absolutely love the effects this episode, them showing each Valkyrie in a part of Ultimate and then it all coming together was done very well.

Here's my take on this episode:
Spoiler (Click to View)
Overall, it's really weak for what marks the beginning of Valkyrie's end. The fight is just "barrage, hit with great force, 'insert name' slash special move", your generic battle between Attack-types. To make matters worse, Shu got done dirty again and Bell interrupted it with his delusions about battling against Valkyrie - seriously bro? You're ruining the mood. That aside, I feel like this should've been split into two episodes, the first part of Ultimate's creation being Valt struggling to control it due to its sheer strength. And the second part has Valt beat Shu in a close battle, showing that he hasn't really mastered it but at the same time, show that Valt is back. Final verdict? It's a nostalgia trip done wrong.

When Ranzo and Bell arguing just like Rantaro and Valt , Shu look at Valt and they smile.

So this episode is to celebrate what could possibly be Valt's last bey?

Let's start with the stuff I do like. I really love the parts that briefly flash the previous versions of Valkyrie, for the most part, it does truly give Ultimate Valkyrie a special feel to a certain extent, and like all of Valt's legacy is thrown into this bey. Seeing Bell imagining himself battling Valt is kinda funny, and honestly imagine a lot of people do this, not necessarily for battles but like... show intros or something, but I'll get into my issues with that. Shu being the first opponent to battle is the most appropriate we could have with the line up we got, and even if the cast was still expanded, Shu would've been the most fitting. Conceptually, they did try and give Valkyrie a special entrance... in terms of execution though...
Alright let's get into the issues. The execution is wrong. While having Valt's flashbacks to all his past selves is cool, where is Cho-Z Valkyrie? If it's because they wanted to stick to one per season, fair enough, but still, it's very jarring.
Second issue I have, is the battle. I mean I guess I just expected it to be another mid-evo introduction episode where character with new bey loses a few times before mastering it and winning at last. I don't mind Shu losing too much, but it does feel like he got done dirty so far, he's not won a single point in DB so far, but there's still a likely chance down the line. We also did not need to waste time seeing Bell imagining him battling Valkyrie. While I said it was a nice moment, it robbed the moment that should've been saved for Valt and Shu. Also, the battle itself was very underwhelming and lacked the grandeur these big evolution introductions usually have. Not even an intense aura glow or a flash of light in the clash, the battle just felt very mundane... I mean Bell vs Shu had a more intense looking fight. That's not good. Also, the special move name is really uncreative, just another "-layer name- Slash", pretty much.
Overall this episode is just okay, if a bit disappointing. I know it's only 12 minutes long, so they couldn't fit too much in, but it should've been two parts, plus adding little details like aura glows wouldn't necessarily take an episode's duration. Still, they did have good aspects like referencing the past Valts and Valkyries (well most of them anyway), and a few decent moments.

While there are absolutely aspects to this battle I enjoyed, especially this
I don't think DB really gave this battle the grandeur I expected. They didn't really give all of the flourishes that I anticipated in a battle between Valt and Shu. Honestly I think Surge did a better job of really giving the battle between these two the special treatment it deserved. I'm happy with the battle result I just wish they'd given the battle as a whole that little extra. And I absolutely agree about the Bell interruption.

I don't know about that. I'm sure they didn't hold back against each other I just don't think the animators gave it the visual flourishes they gave their battle in Surge.

I mean they didnt use all their tricks which we know they have so I doubt we can really say its full power its a serious but not a full power match . Sparking is a special case for both of them

I can't say I agree. Shu went with right spin attack mode so he certainly wasn't trying to hold back, he was going for a power play. They have no reason to really hold back against each other. In fact whenever they've battled they've always endeavored to give each other the respect of not holding back. Now, do I think that was the extent of Ultimate Valkyrie's power? No. There's probably much more Valt will be able draw out of it the more he battles and gets familiar with it.

this battle wasnt full power when you have a cut with Bell daydreaming in the Middle of the match lol. Their no reason to hold back? Huh yea their is when its a battle to really just test ultimate plus shu clearly did it to test ultimate attack power we didnt even get left spin. Do you I think it was ultimate extent of power I just said that they were not a full strenght you basically said what i said about not going full out. We got just a few clash thx to daydreaming demon, but if you think that they were at the peak full power well i'm not going to persuade you otherwise. But lets not drag it cause were not going to agree on this

Bell daydreaming doesn't have anything to do really with Shu using the full extent of his power. He went with right spin attack mode right off the bat and used all of his special moves. Infact multiple characters mentioned that Shu was going all out. Now as for Ultimate, there is probably more power that Valt will be able to draw out of it as he gets more familiar with it, but he wasn't holding back. If they wanted to test Ultimate's power they would really put it through it's paces by giving it their all to see what it's really made of, what it was really capable of. Again they have no reason to take it easy on each other in battle. They're fierce rivals after all. But we can agree to disagree. I don't think we're going to come to a meeting of the minds on this.
