Chapter 1: Let's Go!
'My name is Joben and I love beyblade, I don't have one though. My parents don't have the money to buy me a bey, not that I'm complaining. I've always wanted to be in a battle, the screams and shouts of the crowd deafening my ears, my heart beating about to burst, the intensity of my opponent's eye burning at mine. I want to know how it feels, I want to be just like-'
"Joben time for dinner!", a woman's voice says.
"Yes Mom", Joben says as he goes down stairs.
Their house wasn't that bad, a little cramped and not much furniture. Joben's father isn't aroud anymore, some people say that his father left but his mother says he died. He believes his mother more than the other, by others he means Maki with his friends and families. 'As if he knows anything about me or anything at all'
"The food is your favorite." Joben's mom says.
"Thanks mom. By the way, it's the end of the month. I was wondering if I could get my allowance" Joben says.
"Joben-" His mother sighs when she was interrupted.
"It's fine mom, I just thought maybe you had some spare money to buy me a bey"
"I've told you Joben, Beyblade is a waste of time and you will not get anything out from it. There are better hobbies"
Joben silently eats his food after hearing what his mother said. He doesn't blame her, after everything she's done for him. After finishing eating, his mother takes the plates and cleans them. He was sitting in the chair and an idea suddenly hit him. He had the materials to make his own! He rushes to his bedroom leaving his mother shocked at the fast change of mood of her son.
Joben was in his room collecting stuff from his previous hobbies that are collecting dust, some were quite expensive so he couldn't blame his mom for not supporting his new hobby. 'I have my baseball bat here, we've got these Lego blocks here, why do I have a dumbbell? Oh yeah, mom told me to work out. That didn't work out, so maybe it'll have some use for my new bey. I know I put it here somewhere... There it is! My rubber ball. My materials are complete, now I just need a somewhere to melt these and make a new bey. Maybe Jiro can help!'
Joben goes to Jiro's house and knocked on the door, he didn't expect his older brother to answer.
"Hi are Jiro's brother? Nice to meet you, where's Jiro?" Joben says as silence ensues for a minute. Jiro's brother observes Joben from head to toe, pulls out a coin and flips it.
"Joben? What are you doing here?" A voice asks.
Jiro's brother catches the coin and hides it in his pocket.
"Jiro, I wanted to make a new bey with the materials I have" Joben says.
"Really? I thought you were gonna play baseball using a dumbbell and legos. Come one, the melting furnace is down stairs."
They went downstairs leaving Joe alone as he smiles looking at the coin.
After what seemed like hours, it was done. He made his first ever bey and he loved it. "What are you gonna call your new Cross System Attack Bey?" Jiro asked.
'I look at my new bey thoroughly, thinking what to call my awesome new Cross bey.' "I'll call it, Surprise Janus" Joben said.
"Stupid, but I like it"
"HEY!"
"Wanna test it out?"
"Sure but I don't have a launcher"
"You can borrow mine"
"Really? Let's Go!"
The pair goes to the public Beystadium to test out Joben's new bey, they arrive and immediately go to battle. Joben has waited a long time for this, the rush of battle. He'll finally experiance it!
"You ready?" Joben asks.
"Let's do this. Your new bey will lose against my brother's bey." Jiro says.

"2"
"1"
"Let it rip" They both say.
Janus is zooming through the stadium, while Judgement Joker goes to the middle. Janus does a flurry of attacks.
'This is amazing, Janus is amazing. I wonder what it could do?' Joben thought.
"Janus, go attack" Joben says.
"Joker, counter it" Jiro says.
Janus was able to get a good hit and sends Joker flying, in exchange Janus loses a lot of spin and is close to bursting.
"Hang in there, Janus!" Joben says.
"Joker, give it all you got! Finish him!" Jiro says.
Janus slowing down gets hit hard by Joker, a burst happens. Once the dust clears, Joker bursted!
"Aw yeah! Janus is a force to be reckoned with!" Joben says, but just as he picks up Janus it also bursted.
"Haha! Look at that guys. His Surprise Junk-carp bursted" A voice mocked. The voice grabs Judgement Joker.
"Hey, Maki! Give that back, that's my brother's!" Jiro said.
"What do you care? It's not the bey that matters, but the one who wields it. And I matter the most here." Maki says
Joben wasn't willing to see his friend bullied, his friend that helped him accomplish his dream.
"Give that back, also that thing you said about Janus. Care to say that to Janus' face?" Joben says.
"Sure if you win, but I'll take you down easily. Let me introduce Vengeance Meliodas!" Maki says.
"Jiro you referee"
"Ok then. Bladers ready?" Jiro asks. To which both nod.

"LET IT RIIIIP!"
Meliodas and Janus go at it straight away. Both clashing into each other, mercilessly attacking in every direction. Janus gets a big hit on Meliodas.
"Yes! A ring out finish!" Joben says.
"You wish. Meliodas Vengeance Counter!" Maki says as Meliodas zooms towards Janus breaking it's sharp blades.
"Melioadas' tip is Wrath, it works like a toy car. When it gets pushed back, it comes back with twice the power it received! Now your bey is broken HAHA!"
"I wouldn't say that, thanks for awakening it!"
"WHAT?"
Janus, now resembling a Metal Fight bey, starts attacking Meliodas in all directions. Getting a big hit that sends Meliodas flying, in exchange for a click. Joben's heart is pounding, he knew he has to think of a move for Janus to use. He hears a voice, he mimmicks what the voice is saying. With a strong demeanor he shouts.
"Janus, time to end this. Use your new move... METAL DRIVE!"
"Meliodas, Destroy him with FULL COUNTER!"
Both beys go zooming towards each other, sparks fly everywhere as the 2 beys crash into the final battle to decide the winner. A bey flies into the air... AND BURSTS. Another bey goes crashing into the wall so hard the wall cracked a little. Jiro walks closely to the bey that bursted.
"Janus wins with a Burst Finish! Joben wins the battle!" Jiro says.
"YES!" Joben shouts, making everyone in the park look his way.
Maki is seething that he lost. 'I can't believe I lost to a nobody who was named after Cleanliness, which is ironic since he's dirt poor!' Maki thought.
"Here's your bey!" Maki toss Joker angrily to Jiro.
"Thank you Joben." Jiro says.
"No problem. Where's my awesome bey by the way?" Joben says as he looks for Janus.
Joben spots Janus near the wall, only to see that Janus broke in half. Joben looks with horrified eyes as he looks at the bey he and his friend spent hours to make, he looks at the hard work forged by friendship ruined.

-Surprise Janus is a right spin attack bey with a awakened mode where it wears out it blades, like Savior, and turns into a Round semi metal Beyblade.
-Vengeance Meliodas is a right spin attack bey with a gimmick similar to a toy car you pull back to make it move automatically called Wrath.
-The full name of the fanfic is "Beyblade Burst Cross".
- The combos are Surprise Janus 0 Destroy and Vengeance Meliodas Blitz Wrath.
