Spear is an Energy Layer Base released as part of the Speedstorm System. It debuted with the release of Spear Dullahan D6 Boost Fusional-SP.
==Description==
Spear is a Hasbro Exclusive Energy Layer base, based on the shape of Dullahan D4. It has four blades in the shape of spear heads, with not much space between them. This, unfortunately, is one of the reasons it is not very good. Even with the elongated spear heads in comparison to Dullahan D4, they are not very sloped and still lack effective contact points, so the layer suffers from a lack of attack power. The blades being so close together negates even the slightest viability it could have for Attack combinations. It is also not round enough for a Defense or Stamina combinations, meaning it has more recoil than other layers that are more suited to those combinations, such as Alter Chronos, and is rather light. It also cannot hold a Chassis to increase its weight, thus, even in Limited format, it is easily outclassed by numerous other options.
==Overall==
The Spear Energy Layer base is rather light and ineffectual. It does not have good contact points to be used in Attack combinations, and is too light and recoil-heavy for any other combinations. Thus, Spear should be considered for collection purposes only.
