Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

I seriously hope they do a little bit of every generation
Like with plastics having most beys spin dual rotation
Metal fight having the metal contact points and the spin track heights
Bursts individual part/beyblade gimmick (no not the bursting mechanic, i feel like it was goor but should be kept specific for burst) i also seriously hope they remove the pocket thing like in the burst beystadium and make it like the tornado attack or the bb-10 as it would be way easier to judge ko’s and i just find it more fun without the pockets idk why
I hope new generation (outside of having more metal) has more technology whether that be electricity or you being able control your beyblade I want technology to be the future of beyblade.

Although that would be super cool it would be really expensive

I mean yeah but considering how successful burst is tt could be willing to put in the extra money

No im talking about the community
I dont think we would want to spend 50$ on one bey yknow what i mean

Oh from that standpoint your right lol

Yeah, I still remember how expensive Regalia Genesis and Imperial Dragon were... not to mention the issues that arise from putting sensitive electronics in an impact-heavy environment 😬

It was a cool gimmick, but it's definitely not feasible to base a whole generation around it.
I kind of hope tt won’t bring back burst gimmick because each gen has something special about them
Plastics was having same spin for every Bey
Metal was metal rings
Burst was well burst gimmick
So I hope 4th gen introduces something new

Yea true bursting should be kept for burst
I think if the design alloy it they should use any mechanic that is highly enjoyable

That thinking of "they should limit X mechanic to Y generation" only limits designs possibilities. This doesn't mean you should abuse older designs, but when they "fit", why not? Because I want my old beys to feel special?

Also, I think some problems of later generations come from scrapping old mechanics instead of improving them

I would agree with you if its something like discs/chips, but when the whole idea of a generation is repeated then not only is it kind or boring for the new gen, it also makes the older gen way less special

For example i love the gimmicks of individual beys in burst and i think they should continue with that but bursting shouldnt
I think it’s very likely that 4th gen will be mfb like system and possibly mfb creator comes back. I say this because mfb creator has been acting sus on Twitter but will have to wait and see.

What you can do is improve the gimmick or changing how it works, so it has the excitement but feels different enough

Also I said that design shouldn't be limited by old design
For example, part of the design lost in plastics was that any beyblade could be left or right spin, that changes possibilities and expand on the customisation, but because is from plastics, we didn't have another generation with that customisation level

The new generation literally cannot be mfb again, and that just means he might be on board with whatevers happening.

I’m not saying it has to be mfb but I still think there’s a chance the mb creator can help with 4 gen
I think it's reasonable to expect that we'll see a paradigm shift in the design, because we're in a recession and absolutely everything worth money is in a bubble because of the malinvestment caused by rampant money-printing. To that end, I would expect to see smaller, lighter Beys which will be cheaper to manufacture, package, ship and store. Being smaller means there's less space for gimmicks, and having less material limits what gimmicks can be made to function properly while standing-up to the forces involved in spinning at thousands of RPM and colliding with a similar object. If relatively complex gimmicks are going to be difficult to implement, then I think we would see two different things, firstly a concentration on performance and part variation, similar to what we saw in HMS and MFB, where we see many different parts, in many materials, but they're all mechanically simple so they can be made resilient. Secondly we should probably expect very simple designs right out of the gate, again similar to HMS/MFB where almost all of the first year releases were very solid with almost no moving parts. (recall that Customize Weight Disks came along relatively late in HMS lifecycle, and it was close to a year before the Hybrid Wheel System replaced the pure-Metal Wheels in MFB, for example)

So, in terms of similarity to MFB; I think there will be some clear parallels, but it's hard to know if there will be much metal in their construction, or if metal will be used for the contact points. I would suspect they'll be mostly plastic, because it's lighter, possibly cheaper, and it will break more often which could drive repeat business. (who knows, maybe the next generation is just Beyblade Minis? Tongue_out)
Even though it would be cool to have more metal in new gen I think it’s likely that the new gen will just be plastic again just because it cheaper and easier for tt to make.
I will be so happy if the new anime can be aired on TV Tokyo with lot of episode of 25 mins.

As great that would be let’s be honest it’ll most likely never happen
Corocoro says something new will happen with Valkyrie
What the heck!? Valkyrie!? But I thought Barricade Lucifer was last burst release?

But Lucifer was supposed to be last burst release unless tt straight up lied to us unless in somehow Valkyrie implemented into new gen because that’s the only logical reason tt would be doing something new with Valkyrie.

Well, a new Valkyrie is a new Valkyrie. The madman was right.
