'''Note:''' In the TAKARA-TOMY release, this Beyblade and its twin [[Killerken Balro A230WB]] are exclusive to the Ultimate Synchrom DX Sets. The red edition is limited to the BBG-24 Ultimate Synchrom DX Set Attack & Balance Type.

==Stone Face: Balro==
*'''Weight:''' grams

This Stone Face has a printed mark representing a Balrog head, based on a mythical beast notably featured in the Lord of the Rings saga. The Balrog's head is printed in purple atop a translucent black backround.

==Chrome Wheel 1: Balro==
{| class="wikitable"
|<font size="1"><b>Weight:</b></font>
|<font size="1">31.45 grams</font>
|<font size="1"><b>Full Width:</b></font>
|<font size="1">47.63 mm</font>
|<font size="1"><b>Height:</b></font>
|<font size="1">6.37 mm</font>
|}

Like all Chrome Wheels, Balro possesses an asymetrical design: at the top is a sculpted horned demon head with an abnormal, star-shaped right eye. Most of the Balro Chrome Wheel's surface is dedicated to huge rigged horns, while the bottom illustrates a carved bat surrounded by flames. The overall structure forms a jagged hexagonal shape.

===When used as the top Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom===

When used as the top Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom, Balro has shown to be very effective in Attack combinations. Gryph Balro and Phoenic Balro are the two most effective Synchromes that a single Balro Chrome Wheel can be utilized in (if two Balros are available, Balro Balro should be chosen over these two). While these Synchromes aren't considered top-tier, they are first-resort substitutes if a top-tier Attack Synchrom is not available.

===When used as the Bottom Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom===

Because of its high recoil and relatively downgraded Smash Attack when fitted upside-down, Balro has found little use as the Bottom Chrome Wheel in a Synchrome. It can, however, be swapped with Wyvang as an Attack substitute in the Attack Synchromes Wyvang Wyvang or Wyvang Dragooon (to make Balro Wyvang or Balro Dragooon) if the top-tier options are not available.

===When used Synchromed with itself===

Balro has found multiple uses in Standard Format when Synchromed with itself. Because of its aggressive design and jagged upper edges, the Balro Balro Synchrom has been found to be extremely competitive for Attack customizations, and, on top of its powerful Smash Attack against shorter opponents, it has been found to have exceptional Smash Attack against tall opponents in particular, and can match and often surpass the extremely high-powered Wyvang in performance against E230 combinations.

On top of its use in pure Attack customizations, Balro Balro has exceptional Balance and surprisingly controllable recoil. Because of this, it has found use in Attack/Stamina hybrids, and can be used with Bottoms like Metal Flat to produce a combination capable of KOing Stamina combinations consistently, while still being able to tornado stall and spin far longer than most Defense customizations, thus eliminating its most prominent weakness. This makes for a very versatile Balance combination, and Balro is the perfect Chrome Wheel for the task.

===Use in Attack customization===

Balro, due to its powerful Smash Attack against varying heights, can be utilized very effectively in the top tier combination MSF-H Balro Balro CH120R2F.

===Use in Balance customization===

Balro, due to its exceptional Balance and high Smash Attack, can be utilized very effectively in the top-tier Attack/Stamina Balance combination MSF-L Balro Balro BD145MF.

==Chrome Wheel 2: Saramanda==
{| class="wikitable"

|<font size="1">30.6 grams</font>
|<font size="1"><b>Full Width:</b></font>

==Chrome Wheel: Saramanda==
{| class="wikitable"
|<font size="1"><b>Weight:</b></font>

|<font size="1"><b>Full Width:</b></font>

|<font size="1"><b>Height:</b></font>
|<font size="1">6.31 mm</font>
|}

Besides the obligatory hole on one side of Saramanda, this Chrome Wheel's design generally consists of lines of scales and points coupled with some curves on the sides, near the hole. There are also two other smoother areas atop Saramanda, to break the patterns of sharp scales. Block-like parts reminescent of Leone's paws adorn two other portions of the sides as well.

===When used as the top Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom===

Saramanda is decently heavy, and slightly imbalanced, so when on the top of a high Synchrom, it is great for providing the weight and wobble that a Force Smashing bottom Chrome Wheel needs. Saramanda does have some minor Smash Attack, which makes it a good Chrome Wheel to assist and add weight to a Smash Attack Synchrom. It also has above average Defensive qualities and can be used in Defense Synchroms when Revizer, Killeken, or Genbull are not available. However, if one of the aformentioned competitive Defense Chrome Wheels are available, Saramanda should be placed in the Synchrom where it is not the main contact point for the opponent, such as in MSF-H Revizer Saramanda E230RDF/RB/CS/RS.

===When used as the bottom Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom===

Saramanda has little to no Force Smash, so with the exception of assisting in a Force Smash combo, Saramanda performs the same on the bottom as it does on the top of a Synchrom. Again, when using it in a Defense Synchrom, if only one top-tier Defensive Chrome Wheel is available, Saramanda should be placed in the Synchrom where it is not the main contact point for the opponent, like in MSF-H Saramanda Revizer BD145RDF/RB/CS/RS.

===When in Synchrom with another Saramanda===

Saramanda's side contact points line up almost to perfection when it is put in Synchrom with itself, and seems to have good balance since its weight distribution is consequently symmetrical. Because of this equilibrium, it has some minor Stamina potential, but not top tier. The combination of its weight, balance, and minor amount of Smash, make this an excellent choice for an Anti-Attack Synchrom. Saramanda Saramanda can also be used in a Defensive combo in the likes of MSF-H Saramanda Saramanda BD145/E230 RDF/RB/CS/RS when top-tier Defensive Synchroms are not available.

==Track: Down Force 145==
{| class="wikitable"

|<font size="1">21.53 mm</font>
|<font size="1"><b>Height:</b></font>
|<font size="1">14.50 mm</font>
|}

DF145 has four upward facing wings protruding from the top of the Track, which aside from giving it extra weight are meant to push air downwards. It is on par with 145, while [[Gravity Perseus AD145WD#Track: Armor Defense 145 | AD145]] and W145 are superior by a small margin when used in mid-height Stamina combinations.

===Use in Stamina Customization===

If the aforementioned parts aren't accessible, DF145 can still be put to good use in the custom, '' Duo Cancer DF145WD''.

==Bottom: Sharp Wide Defense==
{| class="wikitable"

SWD has an odd shape: it's basically a small sharp tip encased in a straight, circular frame of plastic, leaving a hole between the tip and the frame. From the side, SWD looks like a large FS with a smaller tip.

==Overall==

While Saramanda, DF145, and SWD are only sub-par Beyblade parts, Balro is an essential Attack and Balance Chrome Wheel that every Blader should try to get their hands on. Every seriously competitive Blader should own at least two of this Beyblade, or of its counterpart, Killerken Balro A230WB.

All changes to the Beywiki stub are bolded. The Saramanda section was pasted from the Shinobi Saramanda SW145SD article that ShinobuXD wrote (I edited it slightly to include Genbull and Killerken as competitive Defense Chrome Wheels, since the section was written before they found their home in Defensive customs).

I do not currently have photographs to attach to this article, but if nobody else is able to provide them, I can probably get some decent shots at some point.
I think you missed the SWD section hah.
Huh, you're right.

Oops. XD

I'll whip something up real quick.

So, I feel kinda bad making a triple post, but its been over 3 months now, and I think this is pretty much ready to go up.

Any thoughts?
Why was Balro never released by Hasbro!? I had this word feeling I saw a starter for it at Walmart when Shogun Steel was still around but after searching around I guess not haha. I know I saw Girago at least, haha.

I think it'd be worth mentioning the slight design simialrities between SWD and DS. Just add that the hollow portion on SWD is much wider and of course like you already mentioned, the small size of the sharp portion on SWD compared to DS (unless they are relatively the same size). Something like what I put below.

"SWD's shape highly resembles DS, but with a much larger hollow area in between the sharp portion and the encasing surrounding the bottom."
sorry it took so long for me to post i mostly like this thread also i really like balro how much attack it has keep up the good work the black dragon
So it's been 10 months last week since this draft was last updated, and we still don't have an article posted on Balro. Time to put this thing up?
