Found the image for my avi online and thought it was meaningful and would make for a great avi so i croped it added my name and found a image of change for a sig.

Im a photoshop noob so i like to keep things simple. I think its nice

To be honest, I think they both would be much better without text.

I can't really explain why but I've been leaning towards leaving my name out in my Photoshop works lately, probably because most of the time it disrupts the flow of the image.

Text is probably one of the hardest things to perfect when creating signatures,avatars, etc. Though, some just can't look good with it.

I say take the text off the avvy. The words on the sign are good enough. The thing is that these are artsy so there's no need for add ons really.

I like it, but I'd remove the 1 pixel border on the signature/ add one to the avatar.

Also, please turn off antialiasing on your text while using this kind of font.
