The WBO Discord server lacked users during the next many hours. Barely anyone felt like coming back to General after the trio’s attack on it. Heck, people took caution and avoided the server overall, even though the mods promised to investigate the situation. Some people went ahead and quit the WBO entirely for the time being, being unable to handle the trolls and the chaos.

Sands was chilling on the forums with Zion, BeybladeManiac, tenma, and i’m batman, and PinkRose at a table. She had told them about the whole A thing.

PinkRose: So A is... not a human? That’s quite concerning. And confusing. 

BurningSands: I know it’s a little bit confusing and you guys won’t understand, but that’s really what happened. What’s worse is that no one except Zion believed me about A’s plan. And uh, shout out to GhostFox for leading me to Zion.

PinkRose looks at the others to see if they believed Sands. tenma and i’m batman had worried looks.

tenma: A sounds worrying. I’m sorry that happened — maybe with what happened a while ago will make people believe you.

i’m batman: Not even Pixi? Maybe she was just trolling you by not knowing what you were talking about.

A cackled some more, his anime glasses shining evilly. 

Sands — like any other fictional protagonist — stared and didn’t do anything. But she stared not because she was intimidated by his cackling. She stared because A really did seem like a child.

Why didn’t he appear in his true form? Maybe he had an identity crisis because he wished he were a normal, functioning human instead of a cloud?

With a wave of his hand, some users began to glow. Those users were i’m batman, tenma, PinkRose, and BeybladeManiac0. Zion glowed as well but for some reason, stopped glowing (Sands: Did you just resist A’s power…?). With another wave of his hand, the said users were tugged into the air and then encased inside a bubble-like sphere. They hovered far overhead, away from A so no one knew it was his doing.

A: That’s odd. Bird person, you’re supposed to be trapped too! What are you doing?

ZionandBirddo: Oh no.

BurningSands: We can ask YOU what you’re doing too, A. And how are you doing that? Does A stand for “A Hacker” after all? 

The four trapped users were pounding on their trap, trying to scream and get out. 

i’m batman: You big idiot! Stop doing this to us!

tenma (hitting the bubble): Sands!

BeybladeManiac0 (sulks inside the bubble): I wish I knew what was going on.

PinkRose: I’m both impressed and unimpressed.

ZionandBirddo: You better not hurt them! 

A: Oh, I’m not planning to. But, well, as a non-human I might! I am not human so I am not bound by your kind’s friendshippy rules.

Multiple people come by to watch what was happening, unaware that A was the one who trapped four users inside a bubble-like trap.

With a wave of his hand, A unleashed black fog. Despite Sands and Zion’s horror, the black fog didn’t engulf them. Instead, it blocked the crowd from seeing A’s standoff with the users, putting the users into a fog-free circle. It even blocked the sky above them, separating the trapped users from A, Sands, and Zion.

ZionandBirddo: The Shadow Realm?

A: What? I’m just separating us from the crowd and trapped folks, that’s all. Privacy matters, you know? But that didn’t matter to the Discord idiots, who screenshotted my messages and snitched to the mods. 

Meanwhile, the crowd behind the black fog were panicking. They couldn’t see each other and were too afraid to move!

Cryaboutit?: Is the site being hacked??

Random user: I can’t see anything! Is the WBO down?

GhostFox: What’s going on? 

BurningSands (grumbles): This is cheating! We are normal humans with no powers. 

A: Sucks to be you. As a non-human being, I can do whatever I want. I even corrupted my own device so that I can exploit many sites and apps!

ZionandBirddo: I’m only going to ask how did a black cloud went to a store to buy a PC.

A: That’s a secret! … Anyway, as I was saying — Sands, if you don’t want other friends to be taken away, you better go to Discord before I get an alt. You don’t want me scooping your Discord pals away too, right?

BurningSands (defeated): No, I don’t. 

Sands thinks about all the other people on Discord. Pixi, Longinox, Cheeto, Delta… But maybe Cinder can be scooped up. Cinder is plain weird.

ZionandBirddo: Discord? This could be a trap.

A (points to one direction, in which a fog-free tunnel is created): Maybe, maybe not. Now, I cleared the way for you both to go find your way to the WBO Discord. Hurry up before I decide to kidnap the rest of your friends!

Without a word, both of them start running towards Discord.

Meanwhile, on the Discord side… within a shady alleyway.

MysticZone: Good job, L. You managed to befriend Sands somewhat. Hopefully you can trick her real good, pretending to be a helpful friend. She deserves it.
