Chapter 4: A Generous Offer! BeyZone Tower!

(Xeno is seen sitting at his family's dining table, picking at his breakfast with his chopsticks absentmindedly. His mother, who is also eating beside him, is watching him with concern)

Xeno's Mother: Xeno?
Xeno: *continues to pick at food*

Xeno's Mother: ...Xeno.
(Xeno continues to unintentionally ignore his mother, which gets her slightly angry, as she thinks that he's ignoring her on purpose. Slightly angry though, is an understatement)

Xeno's Mother: XENOPHON GATSUO! PAY ATTENTION!

Xeno: *jolted back to reality* AH! I'm already awake, Mom!

Xeno's Mother: *sighs* Xenophon, is something bothering you?

Xeno: Uh... Kind of. There's this guy I met yesterday, the guy who kinda kidnapped Queran, remember?

Xeno's Mother: Oh, yes. The Dai Gendo boy?

Xeno: Yes, him. I still can't understand how he got so good! I've never even heard of him!

Xeno's Mother: Well, maybe Queran can help you. He's a smart boy.

Xeno: Oh, yeah! Thanks Mom!
(Xeno gets up from the dining table, and starts heading out the door)

Xeno's Mother: Xenophon Gatsuo! Where do you think you're going without eating your breakfast?! (And even after I've slaved away making it!)

Xeno:  Oh. I forgot, hehe...

Xeno's Mother: *sighs* I still can't figure out how you can just lose your need to eat so abruptly...

(Two hours later, at the heart of the city)
Queran: This is it, Xeno! My dad's place. You can train here!

(Xeno looks around, and points at a small building)
Xeno: This one? It's kinda small. But I guess size doesn't matter, quality does... (Why'd you make such a big deal about it?)

Queran: Huh?! Small? Do you need to get your eyes checked?

Xeno: *scratches head* But, uh. This is the place, right?

(Queran points at a far taller building nearby)
Queran: No, that's the place!

(Xeno looks at the place Queran was pointing at, and looks at Queran in disbelief)
Xeno: No way. BeyZone Tower? That place's for the best bladers in Japan!

Queran: That's true! And you're going to start training here!

(Xeno stares at Queran for a while, making him slightly uncomfortable)
Queran: Uh-

Xeno: I guess you've never really been one to kid with me.
(Queran jabs Xeno with his elbow)

Queran: That's obvious, dummy. I've never been the kind of person to joke about things, period.

Xeno: Okay, okay! But this is crazy! This place is huge!

(Xeno stares up at the monolithic spire that BeyZone Tower is, with awe beyond anyone's comprehension)
Queran: I know, right? Dad's the manager here, so he's made it so you can train here on weekends for free!

Xeno: How come you've never told me about this? I've always wanted to train here!

Queran: Dad's only been the manager here for about a month anyways. I thought that I'd just keep it a secret.

Xeno: Why though...?

Queran: Ah, no reason, don't worry about it. C'mon, let's head inside! I'll show you around!

Xeno: *thoughts* So casual!

(They head inside The BeyZone, and Xeno decides to look around a bit)
Xeno: Whoa! This place is better than the adverts on TV said! So much training equipment!

Queran: Dad says that the UBA provides all of the next-gen training equipment to this place. The top floors are specifically for the UBA's Japanese Blading Team.

Xeno: How many floors does this thing have? It's huge, even on the inside!

Queran: 121.

Xeno: Wow...

???: Queran! My boy!
(Xeno and Queran swivel around, and see Queran's Father walking up to them)

Queran: Dad! You made it!

Queran's Father: *ruffles Queran's hair* Indeed I did, Queran! Just got out of a meeting with some executives from Celestial Enterprises. Quite unnerving people. I hope to never be stuck in the same room with them again.

(Queran's Father looks over at Xeno)
Queran's Father: Ah, Xeno! Queran told me that you'd be over today! Enjoying yourself so far?

Xeno: I sure am, Mr. Dazaio. This place is amazing!

Mr. Dazaio: *chuckles* Indeed it is! I'm honored to partake in such a large part of the UBA's future. Although, it does get rather repetitive.

(Mr. Dazaio's SmartWatch beeps, and he takes an exasperated look at it)
Mr. Dazaio: Well, boys. I'd better be off now. Floor 91's been in shambles for weeks now, and someone's got to be up there telling the people there what to do... Queran, I assume you'll take charge for me then?

Queran: Sure, Dad!

Mr.Dazaio: That's my boy!

(Mr. Dazaio hurries off to one of the transparent elevators, and disappears from view)
Queran: Okay, Xeno. the first training area is at Floor 10. Let's head up there.

Xeno: Alright!

(Xeno heads at an elevator, but Queran stops him)
Xeno: Huh? What's wrong?

Queran: The elevators are just for the Mid to Upper Class bladers and the Japanese Blading Team. Not to mention the BeyZone personnel. You've gotta take the stairs for now, since you're a Lower Class Trainer.

Xeno: What?! Up ten stories?!

Queran: Yeah! It's for building your stamina. If you can't get up those stairs, you won't be able to start any training!
Xeno: Have you been training here, then?

Queran: Yeah, for a little while. After that time when you saved me from those two guys from Dai's BeyGang, I sort of realized that I needed to get stronger. That way I don't need you preaching that embarrassing stuff anymore.

(Xeno fidgets a bit)
Xeno: Ah c'mon, it was cool at least!

Queran: Hah! Barely.

Xeno: Grrr... Let's just get up these stairs-

(Xeno and Queran walk up to the foot of the stairs. Xeno notices how far up they go)
Xeno: *gulps* Has anyone ever walked up all the way to the top of BeyZone Tower?

Queran: Apparently, there's a few people.

Xeno: Wow... They must pack some serious power.

(Xeno looks determinedly at the first step. His right hand goes into his pocket, and he subconsciously draws out his Beyblade, Xanthus, which is shining in a dull jade hue)
Xeno: * thoughts* If I don't climb these stairs, I'll never stand a chance against Dai Gendo. And I don't want that! I'll surpass even him!

(And so, Xeno unknowingly takes the first step, the metaphorical first step to reaching his ultimate goal!

Ya'll can still read it, to see why I thought it was pure garbage (just kidding lol...), or just to, you know, read it.

It isn't that bad, it just lacks stuff happening.
All this chapter does is introduce us to the bey tower, which isn't a bad thing but it doesn't do that that well.
We know that Queran's father works there (prob the owner?) and that there is ranks, also a bit of telling us how Queran wants to get gud.
However, it just kinda... Ends. I'm not against chapters with no battles but this felt like it missed the target, or like when you drink warm water - it's missing something.
Just my 2 cents tho, I'm not a professinal or anything like that.

To be honest, yeah. It was missing something, and that's why I won't be considering the events in this chapter to be canon so the story, nor will I include BeyZone in the next chapter. Maybe not ever? It just felt like I was copy-pasting from Beyblade X, and I didn't like that aspect of BeyZone.

As for battles, I feel like I'm best at formulating "human" interactions more than making battles, lol.

Anyways, I'm still working on Chapter 4, and it'll probably come out today, or tomorrow, but no promises.

Chapter 4: A Conclusion is Made! Training Begins?!

Xeno: *surprised* Eh?! U- uh, no... Anyways- this "guy" could really spin a Beyblade! Like, really well! It's been bothering me a lot about how good he was. Queran and I tried researching him yesterday, on the UBBA's website and nothing came up about him. It's like he doesn't exist.

Xeno's Mother: That is suspicious. But why are you so absorbed in knowing that much about him?

(Xeno thinks for a while, before responding)
Xeno: To be honest, Mom, I think it's because of the fact that he's so strong, that he doesn't make it "well-known", like- like everyone else does. That intrigues me.

(Xeno's Mother smiles, and pats his head gently)
Xeno's Mother: That's my little boy. Always thinking about the little things (Sometimes...).

Xeno: Mooom! I'm not a little boy anymore...

Xeno's Mother: *sighs* Ah, that's too true... Well, whatever you do, don't get too involved in it, that you end up missing school more times than you already have.  Although, you can try when you don't have any school.

Xeno: *grins* I'll try my best. Thanks, Mom.

(A few hours later, at the local public bey stadiums, with Queran)
Xeno: Again!

Queran/Xeno: Go, SHOOT!
(Queran's bey, Khronos heads directly for the center, as Xanthus makes a beeline for it, and KO's Khronos within two hits)

Queran: *winded* I- I think we should take a break. You're too strong for me.

Xeno: Oh, alright.

(They sit on the edge of the bey stadium, and Queran reaches into his backpack, and draws out two cans of soda-pop, and hands Xeno one, who accepts it gratefully)
Xeno: Thanks!

Queran: So why did you call me out to train with you, Xeno?

Xeno: I thought that training would help me a bit with knowing how to counter him, but I can't keep using my usual moves. I mean, he has a whole special move! How am I able to match that?

Queran: Him? You're talking about Dai, right?

Xeno: Yeah.

Queran: I don't like that guy. He kidnapped me when he could've just asked you to a fight on his own. And now I've gotta deal with the trauma, not him.

(Xeno pats Queran on the back)
Xeno: Ah, you'll be fine. You don't look traumatized to me.

Queran: *glares* I've heard of stuff like that happening to people! Just because I'm not showing any signs now, doesn't mean I won't in the future.

Xeno: If something like that ever happens, you can count on me to stick it out with you. We're best friends, after all.

Queran: *smiles* Yeah. We are.

(Xeno stands up)
Xeno: Okay! Then let's train!

Queran: Train again?! You can't just keep on training like this forever! We've at least got to use our heads for this one.

Xeno: O- oh?

Queran: Before I came here, I did some research on how the World Champions have gotten better at bey blading.

(Xeno's mouth is wide open, and he sits back down in bewilderment)

Xeno: Why didn't I think of that?! And the World Champs, even!

Queran: Yeah! They did an exclusive interview a few days ago for a really big sports magazine and shared some of their tips.

Xeno: W- what're they?

Queran: Well, uh... It's nothing special, really. Just the same old basics. Good launching form, hard work, determination... understanding your Beyblade. The usual mumbo jumbo.

(Xeno sits and thinks for a while before he responded by clapping his hands together once)

Queran: !?

Xeno: Maybe we have to take them literally! Like, by doing actual hard work, like training!

Queran: Oh, no, not training again-

Xeno: Not like that, physical training! I've never done training like that yet. I've only been focusing on Xanthus, and not myself.

Queran: Ah! That's a great idea! But I don't know if you'd really need it...

Xeno: Let's go!

(Xeno starts to run away, leaving Queran at the stadium, surprised)
Queran: R- right now? B-but my soda... *sigh*

(Queran runs after Xeno, and a suspicious figure, unbeknownst to them, watches them from afar, and hides back into the shadow of a building)

(A few minutes later)

(Xeno and Queran are seen running through their city, with Xeno in the front, and Queran far behind, out of breath)
Queran: *panting* W- wait up, Xeno! Y- you're t-to fast!

(Xeno looks back, and is surprised at how slow Queran is going)
Xeno: *surprised* Oh dang!

(Xeno stops, and runs back over to Queran)
Xeno: *sheepishly* I forgot that you can't really keep up with me, sorry!

Queran: It's alright. But if I'm bring honest with you, I don't think you need to train your stamina. You've always been full of energy.

Xeno: *grins* Yeah, okay.

(Someone jabs Xeno in his back, sharply)
Xeno: OW!

???: Hah. So, it was you, Xenophon.

(Xeno wheels around to see who the speaker is)
Xeno: Chika?! What're you doing, coming up to us like that?

(Chika merely crosses her arms)
Chika: What, is there a rule that stops me from simply saying hello?

(Xeno rubs his back, peeved at Chika)
Xeno: Saying hello like that should have a rule against it.

(Chika notices Queran, and smiles accusingly at Xeno)
Chika: So. Queran looks fine. Seems like you did lose your Beyblade that day, eh, Xeno?

Xeno: *blushes slightly* N-no! It was, uh... a misunderstanding!

Chika: I'd believe you if your face wasn't so revealing, Phon-Phon.
(Queran tries holding in his laughter as Xeno's face turns redder with embarrassment)

Xeno: What?! Phon-Ph-?! Why, youuu!

(Chika skips away, backwards, sticking her tongue out at Xeno, as he fumes)
Chika: *singsong* Have fun, Xenophon~

Xeno: I just can't understand her! Out of all the boys at school, why does she choose to keep embarrassing me like this?

Queran: *chuckles* Phon-Phon-

(Queran bursts into a fit of laughter, as Xeno looks on with a frown)
Xeno: C'mon, not you too...

(Queran gradually stops laughing, and wipes the joyful tears from his eyes)
Queran: Oh man, that was her best one yet.

Xeno: To you, yeah, but I don't get her. It's like she's made it her life's mission to make fun of me. It's annoying.

(They start walking along again)

Queran: Don't let it get to you. It's just playful fun.

Xeno: Definitely not. But anyways, what should I try training for?

Queran: Hmm... Maybe launch strength?

Xeno: That's a good idea. Dai's launching style was amazingly powerful. I've never seen anyone do that type of launch. He even jumped really high into the air!

Queran: Right. So maybe, if you could... make a new launching style, you could launch way faster than usual!

Xeno: Hm! Then it's settled! I'll work on gaining more launching power, and challenge Dai again when I have!

(Xeno and Queran jump up, and do a mid-air high five, smiling excitedly)
Xeno/Queran: LET'S GOOO!

(Xeno and Queran are shown running through the city again, to the bewilderment of the people in the city, and we fade to black)

I tried doing a more human-interactions Chapter this episode. There are probably some mishaps, but it feels okay to me. It's also probably my longest chapter, ever!

Chapter 5: A "Deeper Understanding"!

(Xeno is seen at one of the public bey stadiums, training on his own, repeatedly launching his Beyblade into the stadium)
Xeno: Go... Shoot!

(Xanthus lands in the stadium, and begins to speed around the stadium, at a pretty fast speed. It lasts for a few seconds, before its spin deteriorates)

Xeno: *thoughts* Somehow, the duration of time that Xanthus's spinning for, is way shorter than when I battled Dai. I wonder why that is.

(Xeno goes to pick up Xanthus, when a Beyblade flies into the stadium he is at, knocks into Xanthus, and flings it high in the air)
Xeno: Huh?! Who did that?

???: Hey, is this bey yours? It's pretty cool!

(Xeno looks up from the stadium, and notices a young boy holding Xanthus, and examining it with his monocle, microscope-like headgear)
Xeno: Who're you?

(The boy continues to look thoroughly at Xanthus while answering Xeno)
???: Oh, I'm Akira Narito.

Xeno: Oh. Nice to meet you. I'm Xenophon Gatsuo. By the way, that is my Beyblade.

(Akira looks up at Xeno)
Akira: Yeah, I thought so. It has nice craftmanship! Kind of old school though.

Xeno: *perplexed* C- craftmanship?

Akira: Your horse Beyblade.

Xeno: Oh! You noticed that it's a horse... My dad made it. So, uh, why are you here...?
(Akira bends down to pick up his Beyblade before responding)

Akira: I'm here to Beyblade. Like, to train. Everywhere else is full.

(Xeno looked around the BeyPark, and noticed that the five other stadiums were occupied by two or more bladers)
Xeno: Well, it is the weekend, after all. I usually come back here since it's nice and private, and not many people try to come back here, too.

Akira: So, then you're training as well?

Xeno: *nods* Yeah.

Akira: Cool! I'm sorry for barging in on you like that then, ha-ha.

Xeno: No, it's alright. I could use some help anyways. By the way, that bey of yours looks interesting!

Akira: It's name's Ares. I made it myself, since I'm a self-taught BeyTrainer.

(Akira holds Ares out for Xeno to see, and Xeno is surprised at the intricate design)

Xeno: *surprised* No way! That's amazing!

(Akira puts his hand behind his head and grins)
Akira: I guess so...

Xeno: I can't wait to battle Ares! It looks to be really strong.

(Akira smiles lightly as he attaches Ares to his launcher)

Akira: Your Beyblade felt pretty strong too. I'm curious to see its potential.

Xeno: Oh? Oh, okay!

(Xeno grabs out his launcher, and attaches Xanthus to it)
Xeno: Let's have a good battle!

Akira: Mind if we do this on Burst Mode? I like it more than Metal Mode.

Xeno: No problem.

Akira/Xeno: 3, 2, 1, Go...
(Akira suddenly crouches down at the count of 3, with his left leg bent in front of him, and his right leg behind him, with the tip of his shoe just touching the ground, the rest of his leg in the air. He then switches his launcher grip to his right hand, showing he launches with his left hand)

Xeno/Akira: SHOOT!

(Xanthus and Ares land in the stadium, Xanthus and Ares circling the stadium, fast)
Xeno: *thoughts* Another one of these guys that have unique launch styles?!

(Xeno notices Ares's speed is increasing, causing it to nearly overcome Xanthus)

Xeno: Whoa! T-that's fast! So, it's the same type of Beyblade as Xanthus.

Akira: Eh, no, not really. Ares is a Balance Type, which means it has quite a few surprises!

Xeno: Huh?

(Ares speeds up more, eventually zooming right past Xanthus, which wobbles Xanthus because of its high rotation speeds)
Xeno: No way! That's insanely fast, even for a Balance Type!

Akira: I think I can end this in one hit.

Xeno: *thoughts* One hit? There's no way-

(Ares begins to glow a bright orange)
Akira: Whirling Spear Strike!

Xeno: A Special Move?! Move, Xanthus!
(Xanthus quickly rises to the stadiums' ridge, and just barely dodges Ares's Special Move by catching on the ridge)

Xeno: Phew...

Akira: So, you dodged me! Maybe this battle will be longer than expected-

(Ares, having missed Xanthus, hit the stadium wall, and ricochets off of the wall at the most precise angle to intercept Xanthus. It slams into Xanthus, and drives it into opposing stadium wall, bursting it with the intense pressure)
Akira: *grinning* -Or not.

Xeno: *gasps* W-what?!

(Xeno picks up the bursted pieces of Xanthus, and Akira snatches Ares from the stadium)
Xeno: I lost so fast... How did you learn to do a Special Move?

Akira: My Special Move? I didn't exactly learn it. It just happened, all of the sudden.

(Xeno glares at the stadium in confusion)

Akira: Well, uh... To be honest, I think Special Moves aren't all that hard to achieve. Just understanding your Beyblade to its fullest can bring one out.

(Xeno looks up at Akira, no longer glaring, but still confused)
Xeno: Understanding? I know everything about Xanthus like I know the back of my hand.

Akira: Maybe so. I think that the understanding has to go deeper than that though... Something like a "true potential'. Perhaps focusing on what it does best can help.

Xeno: What Xanthus does best...?

(Xeno looks at Xanthus for a couple of seconds, before looking back up at Akira)
Xeno: I think I get it... Not all of it, but some of what you said. Thanks, Akira.

Akira: *smiles* Great! I think I'll to train somewhere else, and let you figure out what you need to figure out on your own. Bye!

(Akira walks away, leaving Xeno at the stadium)
Xeno: ...

(Xeno looks up at the sky and holds Xanthus's bursted pieces tighter. Xanthus gradually makes a very dim glow in his hands for a couple seconds)
Xeno: I'll definitely unlock our 'true potential'.

Chapter 6: An Unexpected Situation! What's Going On With Xanthus?

(Location: Reinyu Academy, Xeno's Junior High School (The Japanese equivalent to eighth grade)

(We see Xeno in math class, absentmindedly sitting at his desk, flipping his pencil over and over through his fingers, not paying much attention to his teacher, Mr. Nijikura)

(Mr. Nijikura writes down a random math equation on the whiteboard (30x + 137= 227)
Mr. Nijikura: Let's see if anyone can answer this question.

(Several hands shoot up, but he looks around the class. His eyes fall upon Xeno, and he notices that Xeno is not paying attention. He decides to ask Xeno for the answer)
Mr. Nijikura: Xenophon Gatsuo?

(Xeno jolts in his seat, and looks to Mr. Nijikura in surprise)
Xeno: Y- yes, Mr. Nijikura?

Mr. Nijikura: Could you perhaps elaborate to the class, the missing number to the question?

Xeno: O- oh! Uhm... It's-
(Xeno looks slightly down at his left side, and thinks for a couple of seconds before looking back at Mr. Nijikura)

Xeno: I think the answer is three, Mr. Nijikura.

(Mr. Nijikura appears to be mildly impressed)
Mr. Nijikura: That is correct.

(He writes out the completed equation, with a "3" in place of the "x", below the incomplete one)

Mr. Nijikura: I am glad to see that beyblade isn't always on your mind, occasionally.

(Xeno's cheeks flush red as a few of his classmates chuckle)

(All of the sudden, the school bell rings, and all of the students get out of their seats)
Mr. Nijikura: Class is dismissed for the day. Be careful on your way home!

(Xeno picks up his school bag and heads out of the Math Class. He then walks down the stairs from the school's second floor to the first floor, and leaves the school)

(As Xeno walks out of the school grounds, Queran notices him, and goes to greet him)

Queran: Hey! Xeno!

(Xeno turns to face him)
Xeno: Oh, hey, Queran!

Queran: So, off to train again today?

Xeno: Nah, I'm planning on doing something else.

Queran: Oh cool. You were getting kind of repetitive, training everyday anyways. Do you need help doing that "something else"?

Xeno: I think I'll be alright. Thanks anyways, Queran. I'll see you tomorrow.

(Xeno walks away, leaving Queran slightly concerned for him)
Queran: I wonder what's gotten into him. He's not usually this distant...

(Several minuites later, at the outskirts of the city)

(Xeno is still walking, thinking to himself)
Xeno: (thoughts) Understanding my bey to the fullest... I still need to figure out exactly what Akira meant. It's so confusing...

(Xeno closes his eyes and scratches his head in confusion. He accidently bumps into a person as he was still walking)
Xeno: Oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going-

???: Hold on... you're that kid!

Xeno: What kid-

(Xeno looks up at the person he bumped into, and recognizes him to be one of Dai's BeyGang Grunts that he battled a long while ago (in Episode 1)
Xeno: "!"

???(2): Why I ought'a- It's that Xenophon Gatsuo!

(The second BeyGang Grunt steps up from behind the first one)
Xeno: What do you two want from me? You want to get beat again?

(All of the sudden, the bigger BeyGang Grunt picks up Xenophon from the scruff of his school uniform in rage, and drag him into a nearby alley)
Xeno: H- hey! Let me go!

BeyGang Grunt 2: You dare to taunt us like that?! We lost our Beyblades because of you!

BeyGang Grunt 1: Yeah, Yeah!

Xeno: But I didn't do anything to your Beyblades! I won fair and square!

BeyGang Grunt 1: When we came back to our boss, he punished us for losing to you by melting our Beyblades!

(Xeno's eyes go wide in surprise)
Xeno: But I didn't know that would happen! I only beat you guys because you were bullying Queran!

(The two Grunts shake their heads)
BeyGang Grunt 2: Y'know what we should do, Jinko? I think we should take his Beyblade, and make it share the same fate as our Beyblades.

Jinko: Ha, ha! Not a bad Idea, Giro!

Xeno: Wait- N-no! Please, don't do this!

(Jinko reaches into Xeno's pocket containing Xanthus and pulls Xanthus out of his pocket. They all notice Xanthus shining blindingly)
Giro: W- what is that?!

(Giro suddenly drops Xeno in surprise)

Xeno: H-huh?!

(All of the sudden, they hear a faint sizzling noise. Jinko suddenly drops Xanthus, and yells in pain)
Jinko: OWW! My hand! That Beyblade of his burnt my dang hand!

Giro/Xeno: W-what?!

Jinko: L-let's get outta here! AIII!

(The two Grunts run away in fear and confusion, leaving a scared and bewildered Xeno alone in the alleyway)

Xeno: W-wha- My Beyblade- It-

(Gradually, the blinding light emitting from Xanthus dies down, and as it does, Xeno's eyes adjust, and he sees a faint but visible silhouette of a horse)
Xeno: What- what is that...?

(Xeno gets up from the ground, and tries to get a better look at the horse-like silhouette, but as he does, It disappears abruptly, and Xanthus goes back to normal)
Xeno: "!"
(Xeno slowly continues to approach Xanthus, and picks it up gently)

Xeno: It's actually kind of warm to the touch- but how? Did it actually burn that guy?

(Xeno looks intently at Xanthus, tapping at it, before eventually giving up, and scratching his head, more confused than before)

Xeno: That light that came from Xanthus was like that weird glow that came from Akira's Ares, and Dai's Deucalion... But what was that horse-like thing, I wonder...

(Xeno walks out of the alleyway, and looks around)
Xeno: (thoughts) It looks like they really left. I don't think I should stick around here anymore, to be honest.

(Xeno carefully places Xanthus back into his pocket and begins to walk away. Unbeknownst to him, a familiar, cloaked figure observes him from the roof of a small nearby building)

???: Interesting... Very interesting, Gatsuo.
(A flash of crimson is seen from beneath the hood of the cloaked figure, and we fade to black)

Chapter 7: A Clarifying Conversation of Understanding, and Discovery!

(Location: Xenophon's house)

(We see Xeno laying upon his bed, looking upwards at Xanthus, which he is holding above him)
Xeno: (thoughts) Maybe that horse-like thing came from Xanthus? But that doesn't make any sense. How come I've never seen any other Beyblade have something like that come out of it.

(Xeno sits up, and puts Xanthus down on his nearby dresser)
Xeno: Maybe it was a hallucination, after all... But that still doesn't explain that glow from Xanthus. Like a Special Move...

(Xeno rests his elbow upon his knee, and holds his chin with his hand, as he thinks for a little while)
Xeno: "!"

(Xeno suddenly stands up with a start, and claps his right fist into his left hand, as if he figured out something)
Xeno: That's it! I can ask Akira about this. He's the only guy I know who I can talk about Special Moves with (aside from Dai...)!

(Xeno snatches his Beyblade, and his jacket from his dresser, and gets out of his room, while putting on his jacket)

(Xeno rushes through the living room, heading towards the door, and his mother, currently relaxing on the living room couch, notices him)
Xeno's Mother: My, Xeno! Where are you going in such a rush?

Xeno: (struggling to put on his jacket) I'm- going to see a guy- about some Beyblade stuff.

Xeno's Mother: Oh! Well, make sure you come back on time for dinner.

Xeno: (is done with putting on his jacket) Phew... Uh, oh, yeah! I will, mom!

(Xeno makes his way to the door, and opens it)
Xeno's Mother: Ah, I forgot to mention, but your brot-

(Xeno gets out the door, having not heard her, leaving her bewildered)
Xeno's Mother: *sigh* That boy...

(Location: UBBA Beystadium Park)

(Xeno is seen walking through the various stadiums, searching for Akira, but to no avail)

Xeno: I really should've asked Akira where he lives... He's probably not coming here today.

(Xeno decides to walk over to his secret blading spot, behind one of the surrounding buildings)
Xeno: Maybe he's over here-?

(Xeno looks around the place, but it's empty)
Xeno: *sighs* Maybe I could try training my launches... It's been a while since I've done that.

(Xeno grabs out his launching gear, and Beyblade. He then attaches Xanthus to his launcher, and gets into a standard shooting style)
Xeno: 3, 2, 1, Go... SHOO-

(Suddenly, Queran runs into his blading spot, which startles him)
Queran: Hey, Xeno!

Xeno: -T- wha-?
(Xeno accidently does a mislaunch, which makes his Beyblade fly out of the stadium)

Queran: Oh... still having trouble with your launch?

Xeno: Kind of?

Queran: Somehow, you've gotten worse... Like, way worse. I could probably beat you, now.

(Xeno grinds his teeth in frustration)
Xeno: Don't get so full of yourself. I only got distracted by your arrival.

Queran: Hah! Keep saying that to yourself.
(Xeno's eyes narrow at Queran, as Queran grins playfully)

Queran: Anyways, what happened to you a couple of days ago?

Xeno: *confused* To me?

Queran: Yeah. Your mom called up my parents and asked if you were hanging out at my house, since you didn't come home early.

Xeno: Didn't come home early-? Oh! That day, after school?

Queran: Yeah.

Xeno: I just had a bit of a run-in with those two goons from Dai's gang.

Queran: *surprised* You met them again?! I thought we'd have heard the last of them ages ago!

Xeno: *chuckles* Apparently not. They did get rough though. But I'm alright.

Queran: Jeez. You sure?

Xeno: Yeah, yeah! Well, moving on from that, d'you want to help me train again? I could use the help...

Queran: Sure, I guess I could. So, I guess you're still training your launching style, then?

Xeno: Yeah! It's so infuriating when other people have super-cool, and super-powered launches. I keep feeling left out.

Queran: *chuckles* You'll get a hang of it, sometime.

(Queran grabs out his Beyblade and launcher, as Xeno goes go to grab his fallen Xanthus. They both get into standard launch styles)
Xeno: Okay. 3-

Queran/Xeno: 2, 1, Go... SHOOT!

(Xanthus begins to accelerate, and Queran's Khronos steals the center)
Xeno: I wanted to try tilting my launcher, for this one. I've noticed that that does change Xanthus's movements a little, which is interesting.

Queran: Oh?

(Xanthus begins to do a swift flower-pattern, hitting the stationary Khronos in the center, repeatedly)
Queran: That's pretty cool! It's immediately gone into that barrage-y-mode earlier in the battle!

Xeno: Mhm!

(Xanthus continues to barrage Khronos, and delivers a large strike to it, knocking it out of the stadium)
Queran: Aw, man... It always ends like that...

(Queran goes to pick up his Beyblade)

???: Boungiorno~

Queran/Xeno: "!"
(Xeno and Queran look over at the person)

Xeno: Oh, Akira!

Akira: 'Ello Xeno. Fancy seeing you here again!

Queran: Uhm... Hello.

Xeno: Queran, this is Akira Narito. I met him a few days ago, while I was training. Akira, this is my best friend, Queran Dazaio.

Akira: Nice to meet you, Queran.

Queran: Likewise.
(Queran and Akira shake hands)

Xeno: Akira, I wanted to speak to you about something that happened with my Beyblade.

Akira: *puzzled* Huh? Why me?

Xeno: Because you might know why that "something" happened to Xanthus!

Akira: O- okay...

Queran: I wonder what this is about.
(All three of them sit at the edge of the stadium, while Xeno recalled the events of his ambushing, and what had happened to Xanthus)

Queran: Wow... who would've known that you had that much excitement...

Akira: So, Xanthus began to glow out of nowhere, then. That's interesting.

Xeno: Yeah. So, that's why I wanted to talk to you about it. The only thing close to that phenomenon could be your Ares.

Akira: Very true. Perhaps it's a sign of your Beyblade becoming gradually stronger. However, the fact that It burnt that man, is a different story...

Xeno/Queran: How so?

Akira: Well, it's only a "myth", or "rumor" of sorts, but there have been many cases where a Beyblade can get a sort of "Spirit" to be trapped within them.

Xeno: Spirit?

Akira: Yeah. These "Spirits" can interact with other "Spirits" in battle. Usually, "Beyblade Spirits" can only be seen by their owners, but there have been rare cases when both people can see the "Beyblade Spirit" of each-other's Beyblade.

Xeno: So, you're saying that Xanthus has one of these "Spirits"? How could it even get one?

Akira: I think that it depends on the region where the Beyblade was in. I'm not sure about how the "Spirits" get into a Beyblade, though. That's still a mystery to me.

Queran: So, then, do you have one of these "Beyblade Spirits"?

Akira: Mhm. Yeah.

(Akira reaches into his pocket, and takes out a glowing Ares)
Xeno/Queran: "!"

Akira: I think that the time when I took a trip with my parents to an Excavation site in Greece, is when I got a "Beyblade Spirit" to enter Ares. It was about six months ago, when I noticed the effects, it had on Ares.

Xeno: Greece? That's where my father works at, as an archeologist. He usually goes on excavation jobs there, for some big-shot company called Celestial Enterprises.

Akira: Truly?

Queran: Yeah, he's not kidding. He also got Xanthus as a gift for Xeno's birthday on an excavation job there, about two years ago.

Akira: Weird. Perhaps there's more to it than I thought...

Akira: Anyways. Not only did Ares glow, which was already very noticeable, its power and speed also went up. There have also been quite a few instances where I can feel a sort of 'connection' to Ares, in a way. It's really weird.

Xeno: I think I might've felt that, or something close to that, about two months ago.

Akira: Really?

Queran: Two months ago... That was around the time you battled Dai Gendo, right?

Xeno: Yeah. I felt really confident in winning against Dai-

(Akira holds up his hand, abruptly halting Xeno's sentence)
Akira: Wait, wait, wait. Go back. Dai? You battled the leader of the Eclipse BeyGang?

Xeno: Uh- Yeah. He wanted me to join his band of troublemakers, and I refused. Kind of.

Akira: So, he is going around trying to collect "Beyblade Spirits", after all.

Queran: Collect "Spirits"?

Akira: Yes. At least, I have a sneaking suspicion that he might be doing just that. Considering that he also tried to recruit me, about a month and a half ago.

Xeno: Really?! So, this is much deeper than I was thinking...

Queran: Do you possibly know why he's collecting them?

Akira: Nope, not a clue. But I can say with confidence, that he also possesses the power of a "Beyblade Spirit", since I've already faced off with him once.

(Xeno starts to get agitated, and starts pulling his own hair)
Xeno: This is SOOO confusing! Not only could I potentially have a "Beyblade Spirit" To take care of, but Dai is out there snatching those as well!

Queran: Wow... This is the most stressed-out I've seen him...

Akira: Well, anyways, has Dai ever approached you again?

(Xeno stops pulling his hair)
Xeno: Now that I really think about it, that incident with those two goons of his could've been on his order-

Akira: No. From what you've told me, they've been kicked out of the group altogether. It was just an act of revenge.

Xeno: If not, then... I don't know. He's just left me alone so far.

(Akira thinks for a bit before responding)
Akira: We should try to stay in contact with each other, in case he ever tries to approach one of us.

Queran: Good idea! We should exchange phone numbers, then.

Akira: Alright.

Xeno: But I don't have a phone though-

Queran: Ah, that's right.

Akira: Jeez. Who doesn't have a phone these days?

(Xeno appears to be embarrassed)
Xeno: My mom doesn't think I'm old enough to have one, he, he.

Queran: We can share my phone with each other. When Akira calls up, I'll tell you in person, and that way, we can both know.

Akira: Okay, then. It's settled.

(Queran and Akira exchange phone numbers while Xeno watches with envy)
Xeno: Let's meet up back here, to talk about things, then.

Akira: Good call. Well, I've got to get going now. It's getting pretty late.

Xeno: True.

Akira: Nice talking with you two! Arrivederci (Goodbye)!

(Akira walks away, as Queran and Xeno wave goodbye to him)
Queran: That was a really strange conversation. Wasn't it?

Xeno: *nods* For sure. But at least I got some information on what could be happening to Xanthus.

Queran: I wonder if I have one of those "Spirits" in Khronos too! That'd be so cool!

Xeno: I dunno. It's kind of scary.

Queran: How come?

Xeno: Just thinking that it's a "spirit" or "ghost" is what makes it scary. What if, they inhabit Beyblades purely to haunt people.

Queran: Oh. That is scary-

Xeno: That's probably not the case though, hah. I would've noticed something all those months ago if it was.

Queran: True! Anyways, I'm sorry I couldn't help you more with training today.

Xeno: It's alright! I didn't really mind.

(Queran smiles, and looks up at the sky, noticing how late it is)
Queran: Akira is right, It is getting pretty late... We should head home now-

(All of the sudden, Queran's phone makes a beeping noise)
Queran: Hmm?

(Queran takes out his phone, as Xeno watches on in anticipation)
Xeno: Is it Akira? Did he already encounter Dai again?!

Queran: N-no, It's just a BeyLive notification.

Xeno: *slightly disappointed* Oh...

(Queran's eyes scan the notification, and as he does, his eyes go wide)
Queran: *gasp* Xeno!

Xeno: *alarmed* What?! What?!

(Queran presses on the notification, showing the full description of the BeyLive event, and shows it to Xeno)
Queran: It's the World Champion Finals Match! And Bell's in it!

Xeno: *puzzled* Be-

Queran: Your big brother!

(Xeno's eyes widen as he grabs Queran's phone to properly re-read the description)
Xeno: N- no way...

Massive oops, again, lol. I took a bit of a break from writing more chapters, as the computer that I usually used to post and make the chapters with, could no longer post them anymore. I don't mean that it was on the WBO's end of things, just my end. Kinda complicated to explain. So anyways, I now have a laptop mostly to myself, so I will be trying my best to consistently post new B:MB chapters!!! (stop teh cappin') Yay!

Without any further ado, here it is! The long-awaited... Chapter 8!

Chapter 8: The World Championship Tournament! An Unexpected Turnaround?!

(Location: Xenophon Gatsuo's Bedroom)

Queran: You never told me that Bell was in the World Champion Tournament!!! How come?!

Xeno: This is a huge surprise to me as well! He never communicates with us much anymore. You know that as well as I do.

Queran: Well, yeah, but you never heard it on the BeyNews?

Xeno: I don't make much time to go on social media. You also know that.

Queran: ...Right.
(Queran looks back at his phone screen)

Queran: It's starting!

(The two of them watch as the BeyLive logo flashes across the screen, starting the livestream)

DJ Blader: Welcome back, boys and girls, and bladers across the globe! We have an extremely exciting match happening, the World Championship Finals! This day will be yet another momentous day in Beyblade history, with the crowning of a World Champ!

(The camera angle changes to show the entirety of the inside of the high-tech stadium building. The stadium appears to be filled to the brim with fans. Suddenly, the lights go out, and large spotlights shine on opposite sides of the stadium)

DJ Blader: The two skillful bladers that have made it to the Finals are none other than; in the Red Corner...
(The left side of the stadium lights up with red spotlights)

DJ Blader: Alexanderrr, Turner! And his brand-new Beyblade, Astrono Atlas!

Xeno: That's the current World Champion!

Queran: I know! This'll be insane...

(A boy walks out into the main stage, where the playing stadium lays, waving to the crowd with a grin)
DJ Blader: Alex Turner has been a reigning Champion for nearly two years! That means that the blader facing him's going to have a hard time to take away that title!

(The right side of the stadium lights up with green spotlights)
DJ Blader: Aaand, in the Green Corner-

(Another boy walks out onto the main stage, casting a menacing aura upon the entire stadium, halting the crowd's cheers for a bit)
DJ Blader: Belleropheronnn Gatsuooo! And his new Beyblade, Void Bellerus!

(The crowd goes wild yet again, but with slightly less vigor)

Xeno: It's him...

DJ Blader: This young man, Bellerophon, has swept the blading world by storm with his incredible skills, and power! Last year, he managed to make it to the Semi-Finals of this tournament, but this year, he pushed himself to the Finals!

(The lights in the stadium come back on, and focus upon the main playing stadium, where Bellepheron and Alex stood)

DJ Blader: Now that both bladers are at the stadium, it's time to get this battle started!!!

(The camera angle changes from Bellerophon to Alexander, showing both of their expressions. Bell with virtually no expression, and Alex with a challenging grin)
Alex: Let's have a fair battle, eh?

(Bell doesn't reply, but he is clearly annoyed, having creased his eyebrows slightly. Alex doesn't pick up on this)
Alex: Eh? What d'ya say?

Bellepheron: *sigh* Whatever you say. I'm still going to win. *mutters* I hate these types of people...

DJ Blader: This Finals battle will go up to three points! For this year specifically, we've decided that a Doubles-Switch-Up styled battle. A Doubles-Switch-Up battle is where both bladers begin on either Metal Mode, or Burst Mode, determined by a virtual coinflip!

(An example appears on each of the six screens encompassing the entire stadium)

DJ Blader: The selected Mode will be kept for the duration of two rounds, and at the end of the two rounds, another virtual coinflip will take place! This will happen endlessly, until we are given a clear winner!

(The example ends, and the six screens change to show point standings: 0-0)

DJ Blader: All right!!! Here we go! Coin-Flip!
(The virtual coin appears as a large hologram mid-air, and "flips" itself. It eventually lands on a Shield Icon)

DJ Blader: Looks like it's Metal Mode! Okay, Ready, Set!

(Alex And Bell gets into their pre-launching stances and attach their Beyblades to their launchers. Alex with a knee bent behind him, a solid stance. Bellepheron with a crouched stance, but with both legs crisscrossed.)

DJ Blader/Audience: 3, 2, 1, GO, SHOOT!

(Alex, upon launching, jumps backward. Bell simply pulls his launcher string as fast as possible, reaching his right arm far behind his back to launch)
Xeno: "!"

Queran: Whoa! Bell's arm was a blur! He launched insanely fast!

(Void Bellerus and Astrono Atlas land in the stadium, but Bellerus hits the stadium first, since Bellepheron launched closer to the ground. Bellerus, as soon as it hit the stadium, it "disappears" in a split-second.)
Alex: Huh?

Bell: Special Move. Time-Erasing Counter.

(As soon as Atlas hits the stadium, Bellerus "reappears" beneath it, and slams Atlas out of the stadium with one hit)
Alex: "!"

(Alex swiftly snatches his beyblade as it passes by him. Atlas is still spinning at high speeds in his hand, but luckily, he was wearing a glove. It comes to an abrupt stop within a couple of seconds, and his glove appears to be smoking because of the extreme friction)
Alex: Wow...

DJ Blader: OH. MY. GOD! Bellerus suddenly disappeared and then reappeared, and then knocked out Atlas!

Xeno: *astonished* What was that?! It was so fast!

(Queran's mouth hangs open in disbelief)

DJ Blader: Let's see an insta-replay on that one, in slow-motion!

(The screens display a slow-mo replay of the "battle". It shows Bellerus hitting the stadium, and immediately accelerating (shown by the split-second frames)

DJ Blader: It appears that Bellerus's Nano-Tip is the cause of its insane acceleration! Utilizing soft rubber surrounding a sharp center, the rubber accelerated Bellerus towards Atlas just before Atlas makes contact with the stadium. AMAZING! Bellerophon Gatsuo earns one point, with a Knock-Out Finish!

(The TV screens show an updated version of the point standings: 0-1)

Queran: Bell ACTUALLY took a point from Alex?! No way! He's gotten so strong!

Alex: Dang, so you're actually not half bad!

Bell: ...

Alex: Hah, not much of a talker-

Bell: That was only a demonstration.

Alex: What?

Bell: A demonstration, of who you're facing, in this moment. I wouldn't underestimate me again if I were you... especially if you want to keep that Champion title.

DJ Blader: NO, WAY! Did Bellerophon Gatsuo just openly declare some form of victory?

Alex: ...

Alex: Heh, you're an interesting one, Bellerophon.

(Bell and Alex have a "stare down")

DJ Blader: Man, the tension in here is so thick, you could cut it with a knife! And this is just the first battle! Let's not waste any more time and get on with the second round!
(Bell and Alex get back into position)

DJ Blader:  Ready, Set!

DJ Blader/Audience: 3, 2, 1, GO, SHOOT!!!
(Bell and Alex launch the exact same way. Bellerus lands in the stadium just barely before Atlas, and appears to disappear and reappear in a spiral pattern)

DJ Blader: It appears to be that Bellerophon Gatsuo is once again utilizing his Nano-Tip's rubber, but for a different purpose?!
Alex: Oh?
(Bellerus suddenly snaps out of its spiral pattern, and "appears" suddenly at the center of the stadium)
Alex: I see. So, you're utilizing the center, so then I can't. Not bad!

(Atlas swoops down the stadium slope, making a direct beeline for Bellerus. It slams into Bellerus, which knocks Atlas back up the stadium)
Bell: It's useless! I'm the clear winner of this battle.

(Alex grins, as Atlas swoops back down upon Bellerus, and gets repelled again, and again)
Alex: Is it though? I'm afraid I disagree. After all-

(Atlas comes back down the stadium, after barely hitting the stadium walls, and slams harder into Bellerus, knocking Atlas into the air. Instead of being knocked out by that hit, Atlas manages to land onto the top of the stadium wall.)

Bell "!"

Alex: I'm always one step ahead of my opponents.

(Atlas begins to move into the stadium, and drops down from the stadium wall, heading in at an extreme speed towards Bellerus)
Alex: Special Move, Otherworldly Universe Crash!

(Atlas crashes into Bellerus before Bell has any time to react, and ferociously knocks out Bellerus of the stadium. Bellerus zooms past Bell's head, missing him by centimeters, and embeds itself in a wall far behind him)

Alex: Oof, I might've over done it...

DJ Blader: OH, MY GOD!!! The World Champion's Beyblade just sent Bellerus flying, with his signature move, Otherworldly Universe Crash! Alex Turner's just taken his first point of this battle, with a Knock-Out Finish!

(The TV screens change the points counter to show 1-1)
Queran: Alexander managed to take a point back!

Xeno: Yeah. I was kind of expecting that to happen. Alexander is the World Champion for a reason.

Queran: (slightly puzzled) I would've thought you of all people would be rooting for Bell.

Xeno: I dunno who to root for, to be honest. I'll just stay neutral.

Queran: Aw, that's no fun...

DJ Blader: Okay! Here we go, onto the Third Round! But wait! Because two rounds have already come and gone, you know what time it is!!! Coin-flip!

(The virtual coin re-appears as a hologram, and flips itself, and eventually lands on... an Explosion Icon)
DJ Blader: Looks like, this time around it's a Burst Battle! The stakes, and risks have just gotten wayyy higher!?

(Alex and Bell prepare themselves)
Bell: This time... I'm taking the win. I didn't come this far again, for nothing.

Alex: *smiles* I'm liking that determination! Keep up the confidence!

Bell: *frowns* Hm.

DJ Blader: Okay, Ready, Set?

Audience/DJ Blader: 3, 2, 1, GO-

(At the last second, before the word 'Shoot' was uttered, Alex tilted his launcher forward)
Audience/DJ Blader/Alex/Bell: SHOOT!

(Alex and Bell launch in the same fashion, and Bellerus "disappears" upon hitting the stadium. while Atlas is still air-borne)
Bell: End this now, Bellerus! Time-Erasing Counter!

(As if Bellerus erased time itself, it suddenly "appears" just slightly under Atlas's landing place)

Bell: It's over!

Alex: Nuh-uh! It seems that you've forgotten what I've just told you!

Bell: What?!

Alex: And you told me not to underestimate you... good grief. I told you. I'm always "one step ahead of my opponents..."

(The tilted Atlas makes contact with Bellerus, resulting in Blade-to-Blade contact. When they collided, a large shock wave resulted from the clash, and the Beyblades were now locked together as sparks flew from the extreme pressure)

(The shockwave makes Bell take a step back, as fierce winds buffet both him and Alex)
Bell: N- no, I can't lose. I won't. I REFUSE TO LOSE HERE!

(Alex stands his ground as he watches with amazement as Bell takes a step forward)
Alex: Wow. That determination is really admirable, Bellerophon. It really is. But I can't lose either.

(Atlas and Bellerus continue to press against each other, and multiple shockwaves are emitted from their struggles, and they both begin to glow vividly)
Alex: Ultimate Special Move: Galactic Diving Press!

(Atlas suddenly pushes Bellerus down, and makes it grind against the stadium, before Bellerus and Atlas fly back up into the air)
Bell: *gasps*

(Bellerus bursts in the air, and its pieces clatter back down into the stadium, while Alex snatches his Beyblade as it comes back down)

DJ Blader: B-B-B-B-B-BURST FINISH! Yes, that's right, Alexander Turner has ensured that his title is still in his possession, for the third year, IN A ROW!

(Confetti comes flying out from various chutes above the entire stadium, and the entirety of the audience go absolutely wild. Alex walks over to Bell, and holds out his hand to Bell, as a symbol of sportsmanship as Bell picks up Bellerus's pieces. A shadow covers Bell's eyes as he stands up)

Alex: *grinning* That was a great battle, don't you agree? Really got the blood pumping!

(Bell merely shoots a look of contempt at Alex, startling Alex as Bell walks away)
Alex: Whoa- Was it something I said, I wonder...

DJ Blader: The World Championship has now finished! It was an exciting six months of endless, and breath-taking battles, and we appreciate all of you who have taken part in this journey with us! And to everyone at home, thanks for watching! We hope that everyone returns for next year's World Champion Tournament, again! Remember to have fun, and Bey Away!

(The Bey Live ends, and Xeno and Queran are left speechless)
Xeno: That was wild.

Queran: Yeah... No offense, but I'm happy Alex managed to win again. He deserves it.

Xeno: None taken. It's not me fighting out there anyways, hah! But anyways. That was a really weird way to leave. I guess Bell needed to lose again, someday.

Queran: Whatever you say, Xeno. *Yawns* Anyways, I've got to get back to my place. See you at school tomorrow?

Xeno: Count on it. Get home safely!

Queran: Mhm. See you!

(Queran exits the Gatsuo household, and Xeno watches him from his bedroom window as Queran walks across the street, to his house. Upon making sure Queran got in the door, Xeno sits back on his bed, and lays down, deep in thought)

Xeno: I wonder if I'll be able to take on the World Champion one day, too...

(And we fade to black)

Chapter 9: An Astonishing Event?! A Battle Between New, and Old Friends!

(Location: Somewhere in Xenophon's City)


(Xeno, Queran, and Akira are seen walking together in the streets of Xeno's city (on the sidewalk, of course).)

Xeno: So, Akira, did you see the BeyLive that was aired a couple of days ago?

Akira: The World Championship Finals? Yes. What about it?

Xeno: What'd you think of it?

Akira: It was interesting. Both bladers did give it their all, in my opinion. I do wish the battles were longer though... I would've loved to scan the performance of the new system beys that those two had, just a bit better.

Queran: New system beys?

Akira: Yeah. They're far more advanced than the beys we currently have. And, according to that heated battle yesterday, they're super-powered to the max!

Queran: Nice...

Xeno: Anyways- You know that blader that lost the Championships?

Akira: Bellerophon Gatsuo, right?

Xeno: Mhm. He's my-
Akira: I already figured it out. He's related to you in some way, right?

Queran: *surprised* H-how'd you know?

Akira: Well, I mean, it's just common sense. Xeno here, has a last name that is Gatsuo, and same as Bellerophon Gatsuo. Not to mention, the fact that Xeno's full name,
Xenophon isn't exactly a Japanese name. And again, the same goes for Bellerophon.

Xeno: Dang it. I really wanted to see your face when I told you that he's my big brother...

Akira: *excitedly* When is he coming back to Japan? I'd love to examine Void Bellerus in close proximity.

Xeno: That totally sounded normal- Uh, but I don't know if Bell's ever coming back to Japan, to be honest.

Akira: Ever? So, I'm guessing there's some family issues that's involved in the mix...

Xeno: Yeah.

(Akira appears to be disappointed)
Akira: *sigh* Maybe I'll get another chance, somewhere down the line...

(Soon enough, the trio arrive at the UBBA BeyStadium Park, their destination)

Xeno: So, I wanted to also say, that I've been thinking about something, ever since I saw that battle.

Queran: Thinking about what?

Xeno: I want to do the same launch that Bell does. You know, the twisty thingy with the legs.

Akira: How come?

Xeno: Because I'm thinking that if he can do it, so can I. Makes sense, right?

Queran: N- not really. He's a completely different guy, compared to you.

Akira: Indeed.

Xeno: *frowns* Well, I mean, that is true. But what I'm getting at, is that I really just want to try it out.

Akira: And also, that you've gave up on finding something more natural to you?

Xeno: *sheepishly* Y-yeah, ha, ha...

Akira: *sigh* I mean, go for it! Whatever makes it easier for you to reach your true potential.

(The three of them walk on over to Xeno's training area, passing all of the other stadiums that are filled with amateur bladers)
Xeno: It's weirdly more full than usual...

Queran: Must be because of the upcoming Regionals. Probably training for it.

Akira: Oh, yeah!

Xeno: *confused* Regionals? As in the Regional Tournament?

Queran: Mhm. Oh- you didn't know.

Xeno: I'm always in the dark about these things.

Queran: *laughs* Yeah, that's true...

Akira: I'm definitely joining this year's Regionals. Last year's was pretty fun.

Queran: Yeah, I know! I didn't take part in last year's Regional Tournament, but Xeno did.

Akira: Really? I don't recall seeing any of his battles there.

Queran: *chuckles* That's because he lost in the qualifiers.

Xeno: You don't have to remind me of that...

Akira: Oof. That's tough. You guys are participating this year too, then?

Queran: I'm not sure, but I might give it a shot.

Xeno: I'm totally going! Of course, I've got to check with my mom first. She's pretty strict when it comes to these things.

Akira: Well then, we'll just have to see.

(They finally make it into Xeno's training area and get everything out, to get ready for training)
Queran: I was wondering, maybe we ought to do a 2 v 1, instead of taking turns, just to switch it up for once. How's Xeno and I against you sound, Akira?

Akira: Sounds interesting! Let's do it!

Xeno: All good with me!

(The three bladers get prepared to launch, standing equally around the stadium. Akira takes his usual stance, while Xeno and Queran take standard stances)
Queran: Let's hope I can last long enough...

Xeno/Queran/Akira: 3, 2, 1, Go... SHOOT!

(All three beys land in the stadium successfully. Queran's Khronos heads directly towards the center, while Xanthus and Ares zoom around the stadium)
Xeno: Alright, Xanthus, let's do this!

Akira: Show me what you've got.

Queran: *thoughts* Man, they're really fired up.

(Xanthus begins to glow feebly, and Ares glows normally. It isn't long before Ares begins to accelerate farther away from Xanthus. Khronos takes the center, and stays there)
Akira: You really need to work on that launch power. You'll never catch up to Ares like that!

Xeno: Maybe not like this... But, like this-

(Xanthus slowly moves higher up the stadium slope, eventually catching the stadium ridge, and accelerates faster and faster towards Ares)
Akira: "!"

Xeno: -I can!

(Xanthus quickly slams into Ares before Akira has any time to react, recoiling both Beyblades in opposite directions)
Queran: *excited* Oh, whoa!

Xeno: That's not all, though!

(Because the two Beyblades recoiled away from each other, Xanthus was recoiled into the stadium wall, and was ricocheted straight at the still-reeling Ares)
Xeno: Get him now, Xanthus!

(Xanthus begins to shine just ever so brighter, but not as bright as Ares)
Akira: Nice. Very nice! But I too, have many tricks I haven't shown you yet.

Xeno: Huh?

(All of the sudden, Ares begins to head down the stadium slope, towards the center of the stadium, making Xanthus miss just barely)
Queran: W-whoa?! He dodged and is coming right at me?! Watch out, Khronos-

(As Ares heads down the slope, Xanthus smacks into the opposing wall, after being duped. Ares then comes down upon Khronos, and knocks it out of the center, and straight for the stunned Xanthus)
Queran: *gasps*

Xeno: Oh shoot-

(Khronos flies straight at Xanthus, and knocks right into it, slamming both of the Beyblades into the stadium wall, and draining a lot of their stamina)
Xeno/Queran: Phew!

Akira: Dang it. I thought that I could've at least took out the both of you with that one...

Queran: Who would've guessed that Ares could go on the defense...

Akira: It should've been kind of obvious, seeing as Ares is a Balance Type. It has a Nano Tip that is a mix of Attack and Defense. Although, It's more focused upon Attack. But once it's in the center, nothing can remove Ares from it!

Xeno: What a Beyblade. He's way powerful than when I battled him-

Queran: I'll take back that center! Go, Khronos!

(Khronos whooshes back into the depths of the stadium, and desperately tries to knock Ares out of the center, but to no avail. Instead of Ares being knocked back, Khronos is)
Queran: Grrr... Keep on trying! Maybe we can wear him down!

(Khronos continues to come back down towards Ares but continues to get knocked backward. However, this doesn't stop Khronos, as it continues this cycle, trying it's best to wear down Ares)
Xeno: Wear him down...?

(Xeno observes as Queran gives most of his all to beat Akira (which isn't much, but the effort is still admirable)

Xeno: Hm. I'll do that too! Let's get him together!

Queran: Oh? Alright!

Akira: Teaming up on me? I guess I'll allow it...

Xeno/Queran: Let's go, Xanthus! /Khronos!

(Xanthus begins to flower pattern Ares, hitting it with a strong barrage, despite getting the wind knocked out of it. Khronos just hits into Ares ever time it comes back down from a knock-back attack)

Akira: Your determination is quite admirable! You both could very well take me down in a Spin-Finish, very soon, but I won't allow that.

(Ares allows itself to be knocked about three inches from the center, and uses the slight incline of the stadium to tilt on its driver)
Queran: *excited* Yes! We got him out of the center, finally!

Xeno: I don't think we should begin to celebrate just yet-

Akira: Ares! Special Move: Whirling Spear Strike!

(Ares begins to glow quite brightly and uses the "Attack" part of its Nano Tip, to accelerate in a spiral, and uppercuts Xanthus first, then Khronos. The two Beyblades land out of the stadium)
Akira: *punches the air* Yes! Got'em!

Queran: Aw man... We were so closeee!

(Xeno goes to pick up Xanthus, and as he does, a shadow covers his eyes)
Queran: Uhm, Xeno?

Xeno: That was- TOTALLY AMAZING! (And fun!) You really struck back at our teamwork there, Akira!

Akira: *laughs heartly* Yeah, I guess I did, didn't I.

Xeno: Man! I can't wait until I learn a super-epic Special Move... And launch.

Akira: I think that you might be pretty close to achieving that first goal of yours. That ricocheting act earlier- was pretty commendable. There's no doubt that you would've landed some serious damage on Ares if I didn't dodge it.

Xeno: Hah, you don't say! I'll just have to be way faster. Then I can catch up to you way easier!

Queran: Definitely. Wanna go again?

Akira: Sure. I'll still win, no matter what!

Xeno: I wouldn't be so confident, Akira, because now I know more of your secret abilities!

(The three of them laugh as friends. Then we fade to black)

Chapter 10!

Chapter 10: The Regional Tournament Commences!

(Location: Close to a familiar bridge)


(It's been several days since the events of Chapter 9. We see Xeno training his launches with what looks like a yoga band strapped around a tree)

Xeno: Go, Shoot! Go, Shoot! Go, Shoot-

(Xeno appears to be drenched in sweat, having tied his favorite jacket around his waist, despite the cooling temperature. He also seems to have been there for many hours, just doing the same thing, over and over again)
Xeno: Go, Shoot! Go, Shoot! Go, Shoot-

(Xeno's launching arm, the arm he's currently pulling the band with, seems to be pulling the band with relative ease)
Xeno: Go... SHOOT!

(The band snaps in two, the rubber having been torn, and grinded against the tree's trunk, past it's limits. Xeno almost falls backwards, into the river, but catches his bearings before he does)
Xeno: W-whoa-whoa!

(Xeno sits down on the bank of the river, relaxing)
Xeno: Phew! That was a close one.

???: What was a close one?

(Xeno looks over his shoulder, and notices his best friend Queran is the one who spoke)

Xeno: Oh, Queran! Hey! It's nothing.

Queran: Oh, alright. Done training for the day?

(Xeno falls backwards to lay down while sitting down)
Xeno: Agh... Yeah. I think I'm done with training for forever.

Queran: *chuckles* Thought I'd never hear that. I guess Akira's training, despite how simple it was, really threw you for a loop, eh? Sure did for me... my neck still hurts from all of that weird stuff he put us through.

Xeno: *laughs* My arms sure are feeling it.

Queran: I thought they might, judging from the way that band's been worn out like it has. It's really been chewed through, a LOT. That's even the thickest version...

Xeno: I guess that's like... the fifth one that's snapped, right?

Queran: *sadly* Sixth. Our savings have really taken a hit.

Xeno: Hah, yeah. So, why're you here?

Queran: Akira called me up to stop you from training. Says that "it isn't good to tire yourself out" and stuff. I agree, but he's kinda contradicting himself with this training regimen that he made.

Xeno: Well, I'm done here anyways. So. See you in- about two days for the Regionals?

Queran: Definitely! See you there! Don't forget to get back home safely too!

(Queran starts jogging away backwards, while waving a goodbye to Xeno, who also waves. Xeno turns back towards the river, and smiles)

Xeno: Well, I hope I get farther in the Regionals this year.

(We fade to black, and time skip to the day of the Regionals Tournament. We see Xeno in bed, as his alarm clock goes off, but Xeno doesn't awaken, having been in a deep sleep due to his training efforts)

???: Xeno? Xeno, wake up...

(Xeno's alarm clock is suddenly switched off by his mother, who was rudely awakened from her sleep)
Xeno's Mother: *frowns* This boy...

(She rips the bedsheets off of Xeno as fast as possible, in hopes of having the sudden coolness wake him up)
Xeno: (mumbling in sleep) D-did I win? ...

Xeno's Mother: *sigh* XENOPHON GATSUO!

(Xeno jumps up with a startle)
Xeno: Wah! I- I'm awake, I'm awake!

Xeno's Mother: Now you are! You're going to be late for your Tournament, Xenophon!

Xeno: O-oh! I must've forgot to set up my timer! Thanks for waking me up.

Xeno's Mother: *mutters* No, no, you didn't forget...

(She walks out of his room, and leaves Xeno to change into his clothes. Xeno eventually finishes, and dashes out of his room)
Xeno's Mother: Now, you're sure you don't have time to eat a proper breakfast before you leave...?

Xeno: Oh, yeah, I'm sure. I don't want to bother you much today, after all.

Xeno's Mother: *smiles gently* If you say so.

(She hands him a couple of ham sandwiches that was prepared the night before. He accepts them eagerly)
Xeno's Mother: Here's your breakfast, and lunch for today. I packed two extra for Queran if he gets hungry, as well.

Xeno: Thanks, mom! I'm sure Queran'll enjoy them.

(Xeno unwraps one of his sandwiches, and starts to eat it)
Xeno: I'll see you later, mom! Bye!

(Xeno's Mother waves a goodbye to him, as Xeno exits his house)

(A half-hour or so later, around the UBBA Reinyu Center, the area where the Reinyu Regional Tournament was taking place)


(Xeno is seen running directly for the Reinyu Center, with his sandwich in his mouth)

Xeno: *thoughts* Man, I hope I'm arriving on time... I forgot to check any of the clocks before I left-

(Xeno makes it into the Center, and skids to a halt, looking around the lobby for people. He doesn't see anyone besides the UBBA Official that is sitting behind the counter, who he goes over to)

Xeno: *muffled* Ndf anferf shr up het?

UBBA Official: *confused* I'm sorry?

(Xeno realizes that he still has the piece of sandwich in his mouth, and takes it out before speaking again)
Xeno: Oh! Sorry. I was asking if anyone else has shown up for the Tournament yet.

UBBA Official: Erm... The Regional Tournament?

Xeno: Yes.

UBBA Official: Uhm, it already started a few minutes ago...

Xeno: Oh, SHOOT! Is the registration sti-

???: Xeno?! Is that you?

(Xeno turns to see Queran, who had left to find him)

Xeno: Queran!
Queran: C'mon! The registration period is almost over! You've got like- 3 minutes!
(Xeno and Queran both run into the main BattleCenter through the Center's rear exit, where the Tournament was taking place. The BattleCenter's Arena was in a large, walled-off area behind the Center's Lobby. It had the appearance of a gigantic Roman amphitheater, and appeared to be constructed majorly of white granite, with minor technological gizmos detailing the ancient-looking structure, that made it look very modern-like. In the very center of the amphitheater-looking structure, sat a Standard-Grade UBBA Stadium. Hovering above the structure, was a small Levi-Podium, where an announncer stood in)

Xeno: Looks exactly the same as last year... There are so many people too!

Queran: Over there!

(Queran points to a small machine, which was at the base of the BattleCenter Arena as he ran, which undoubtedly was the place to register)

Xeno: Got it-

Blader J: The registering period for the Regional Tournament will end in thirty seconds!

Xeno: *horrified* AHH?!

(Xeno begins to pick up the pace, and comically zooms right past Queran, and reaches the machine with twenty-five seconds to spare)
Xeno: Made it-

(Xeno quickly places Xanthus, and his launching gear into a small compartment within the machine. The machine begins to scan Xanthus and his gear, verrry slowly)
Xeno: "!" C'mon, c'mon, c'mon...

(The machine finishes to scan his gear with a mere eleven seconds to spare, and takes a quick picture of Xeno before relinquishing his gear back to him)
Xeno: Phew!

(Queran finally catches up to Xeno)
Queran: You did it!?

Xeno: *nods*
(Queran exhales in relief, and clutches his chest in exhaustion)

Queran: Phew... Okay. That was definitely not one of your finest moments. Maybe next time actually set a functional alarm, when there's something important happening that you've prepared seriously for?

Xeno: Hah, yeah. I could've sworn that I did put an alarm though...

Blader J: The registration period is over!

Queran: Let's go and sit with Akira. He's been kind of worried, since you didn't show up on time.

Xeno: O-okay.

(Xeno and Queran walk down the stairs towards the lowest part of the BattleCenter Arena, close to where the stadium was. Akira notices them, and gets up to greet Xeno)
Akira: Xeno! You actually made it! I honestly thought that you'd miss this.

Queran: He almost did... He just barely managed to register in time.

Xeno: *embarrassed* Yeah...

Akira: Well, it's all good now. It's about to begin, soon.

(Queran and Xeno sit near Akira)
Xeno: Why're we sitting down here?

Akira: This is where the other bladers that are participating in the tournament sit. Did you not sit here last year as well?

Xeno: *shakes head* Nope. I guess I missed the memo, heh.

Queran: I think it's starting!

Blader J: Hello, everybody!!! Today marks the beginning of the Reinyu Regional Tournament! This is your favorite Japanese Blader DJ: Blader J!
(The large audience goes wild, for the most part)

Queran: Never heard of him.
(Akira and Xeno chuckle lightly)

Blader J: For this year's Regional Tournament, we have many bladers from the Reinyu District here today. We hope that every single one of them give it their all to win this tournament! The top four bladers of this tournament are ensured their placement within Japan's National Tournament, which will take place next month.

Blader J: Today, will be the qualifying rounds of this tournament. To get through the qualifiers, and ensure a place within the Quarter-Finals, a blader must win a two-point, Burst-Mode Battle with a randomly chosen opponent. This is insanely risky! Now, if you direct your attention to the TV monitors, the matchups will be randomized, and shown...

(The TV screens are shown to "randomize" the thirty-two bladers into sixteen match ups for several seconds, before stopping)
Blader J: The results are in! In the first round, It's Goro Izoria versus Fudo Fujimoto! In the second round...

(The names pass by, until the fifth-round opponents are announced)
Blader J: ...it's Sayoko Iwasaki versus Xenophon Gatsuo!

Xeno: "!"

Queran: Sayoko? That's a girl's name...

Akira: Yeah. She's a pretty good opponent. Last year, she made it into the top 15.

Xeno: Oh boy...

Blader J: In the sixth round, it's Hoshi Kujou versus Queran Dazaio!

Queran: I wonder who that guy is.

Akira: I've never heard of him. It's probably his first time participating in a Tournament, like you.

Queran: Oh. Is that a good thing?

Akira: It could be... Although, it could also be a bad thing.

Queran: *sigh*

(The match up announcements passes again, until the tenth round)

Blader J: It's Akira Narito versus Dai Gendo!

Akira: "!"

Xeno: *bewildered* WHAT?!

Chapter 11: Qualifiers Begin! Goro versus Fudo, and Shindo versus Ichigo!

(Location: The UBBA Reinyu BattleCenter Arena)

Xeno: WHAT?!

(Xeno's yell of astonishment startles some of the bladers, and much of the audience who are watching the event)

Queran: Holy shoot, Dai Gendo?!

Akira: *surprised* Well, this is a surprise... I should've guessed though, that he'd be a participant.

Xeno: How come?!

Akira: It makes sense strategically. After all, he's after bladers with "Spirits". A tournament is one of the best places to find people like that, despite their possible rarity. Now we have to be careful...

Queran: You aren't confident in beating him?

Akira: The last time we fought, while it was a while ago, he beat me with such devastation that Ares needed repairs for days...

Xeno: That's awful! I wonder why Xanthus didn't get that damaged when I fought Dai way back when...

Akira: He was most likely testing you then. That's what he did to me, and he increased the intensity of his power, once he got a feel for my own.

(Just then, Akira notices a suspicious looking person sitting in the same region that the participants sit in. The person was wearing a strange black cloak that was ripped in some places, that mostly covered the person's face, so the mysterious person was unidentifiable)

Akira:  You know what? I'd bet a million yen that that cloaked guy is Dai.

Queran: Him? It might be...

Blader J: ...are the bladers for the sixteenth round!

Queran: Oh, he's done? Finally...

Xeno: We have been talking for a while, after all.

Queran: True.

Blader J: Now, the first-round participants, Goro Izoria, Fudo Fujimoto, please come up to the stadium!

(Goro Izoria, and Fudo Fujimoto get up from their seat, and walk up to the stadium)

Blader J: Get ready...

(The two bladers get into standard launching stances, and attach their Beyblades to their launchers)

Blader J: Set!

(Xeno leans forward in his seat to watch the battle more intently)

Blader J: 3, 2, 1, Go-

Blader J/Audience: SHOOT!

(Goro and Fudo's Beyblades weakly land into the stadium)

Goro: C'mon, Berserker, get that Beyblade now!

Fudo: Um... Yeah, you too, Ifrit...I guess.

(Goro's Berserker, and Fudo's Ifrit, which are both Attack Types, speed around the stadium, at low speeds, and clang into each other)

Xeno: I wonder if they messed up their launches.

Akira: They're probably just beginners, to be honest... Only beginners would choose an attack type to be their main bey with such low experience.

Xeno: I feel offended, somehow...

(Berserker, which seems to be the strongest of the two, continues to barrage with Ifrit)

Fudo: Aw man...

Goro: *laughs* Is that all you've got, little guy? This is easy! Burst him now, Berserker!

(Ifrit and Berserker continue to clash weakly, and Berserker suddenly does a hit that does slightly more damage to Ifrit, bursting Ifrit)

Goro: Yeah! Ha-ha!

(Fudo only grabs his Ifrit's pieces with a frown)

Xeno: That Goro kid is kinda annoying...

Queran: I agree.

Blader J: And Goro Izoria wins the first round of the tournament with relative ease! Goro Izoria is now qualified for the Quarter Finals!

Goro: Yes sir! I'm going to win this whole thing!

(Fudo exits the stadium area slowly)

Fudo: Man, what a bust...

Blader J: And now, we move on to the second round of today, with Ichigo Gawateri against Shindo Agarisen!

(Ichigo Gawateri, and Shindo Agarisen both walk up to the stadium)

Ichigo: *grins* Hey! Let's have a fun battle!

Shindo: *taken-aback* O-okay?

Blader J: Get ready...

(Ichigo and Shindo get into position, and do their standard launching stances, Ichigo with a right-handed stance, and Shindo with a left-handed stance)

Blader J: Set!

Blader J/Audience: 3, 2, 1, Go... SHOOT!

(Shindo and Ichigo's Beyblades land into the stadium, and Ichigo's Beyblade goes straight to the center, while Shindo's Beyblade circles around Ichigo's bey)

Ichigo: I'll stay down here. Show me what you've got!

(Shindo appears skeptical, and scratches his head in confusion)

Shindo: If you say so. Get him, NineTails!

(Shindo's NineTails swings down upon Ichigo's bey, knocking it away from the center)

Ichigo: O-oh? Dang, that's stronger than I thought- No matter! I'll counter that-

Shindo: I wasn't done yet...

(NineTails swings back around after getting recoiled from that hit, and slams back into Ichigo's Beyblade again, knocking it back farther)

Ichigo: Huh?! It hit me again!

Shindo: Sometimes, it's like NineTails controls itself- I don't know what causes it.

(NineTails slams into Ichigo's beyblade two more times, throwing it farther up the stadium slope)

Ichigo: Oh, shoot, get outta there, Dreadnaut!

(Ichigo's Dreadnaut tries to move out of NineTails's range, but gets caught lacking again, with another hit)

Ichigo: Gah!

Akira: I wonder if that Shindo guy has a "Spirit" in his Beyblade. His description did seem akin to what I'd think a "Spirit" could be capable of-

Shindo: I call NineTails's erratic movements: Multi-Whip Beatdown!

(NineTails slams into Dreadnaut four more times, finishing its Special Move. This knocks Dreadnaut up, and at the stadium wall. Dreadnaut manages to barely hit the stadium wall, soars over the wall, and bursts before it hits the ground)

Ichigo: NANI???

(Shindo snatches his beyblade out of the stadium, as Ichigo stares blankly at his bursted Dreadnaut)

Blader J: WHOAAA! Another one-round burst-finish?! Things are really heating up in this tournament super early! Shindo Agarisen wins the second round!

Shindo: I have to say, that was pretty fun! For me, at least.

(Shindo walks off of the stage, leaving an astonished and devastated Ichigo at the stadium. Ichigo picks up Dreadnaut's pieces)

Ichigo: But I- Why-

(Ichigo turns from the stadium, and runs up and out of the BattleCenter Arena (in tears, perhaps?)

Xeno: That Ichigo guy didn't seem to be looking too good. I hope he's okay...

Akira: It's probably hit him pretty hard, losing so early in the tournament. It could hit harder, especially if you trained really hard in preparing for it...

Queran: I'd bet. I don't know how I'd feel if I lost in the qualifiers today, but I think I'd probably behave pretty similarly.

Blader J: And, once again, we move along to the third round! It's Uzakyo Hazamada, versus Sakeshi Modachizu!

To be honest, in the amount of time that has passed I have found out the main reason as to why I am so bad at consistently posting chapters, and it's so serious, that I've just gotta make another spoiler tab for this one:

Laziness

Not, but seriously: It's gotten so bad in the time before and after I turned 16 (last month) that I've called it Chronic Laziness. For B:MB, I get lazy with posting already made chapters because of the fact that I've gotta re-space out all of the dialogue in the way I deem fit, aaand then the bolding and underlining (essentially the entire formatting process of getting it off of my WordPad documents, so stupid of me, I know). I just don't like doing that, but I know I HAVE to, or I'll never forgive myself for releasing a half-assed chapter to the public. But yeah. Onward to some good news, instead of my whining:

I've been thinking so far into the future, that I've already finished the plot points for the season 2 of B:MB (Beyblade Metal Burst: Project D for those who forgor :skull:), and it's taken such an amazing turn, that I wish that I could just snap my fingers, and season 1 would be instantly finished, so then I could start working on season 2 immediately. It's just that good imo.

ALSO: I've finished the plot points for my second fan-fiction, set apart from B:MB entirely, that will be called: Beyblade X Rising: Revengance!!! OMG, you have NO idea how excited I am to (eventually) start this one. If you thought I was hyped for season 2 of B:MB, then you'll be in for quite the surprise with this one! I absolutely love how it's turned out, and I also with that I could just snap my fingers, and both season 1 and 2 of B:MB would just finish themselves, so then I could let my imagination flow with this one.

It'll be way more mature than both of the B:MB seasons combined, and if you haven't already gotten the reference from the title of BXR:R (Hint: It's a reference to a game title that released on the PS3, and is my favorite game of all time frfr) this season is gonna be mained by a literal gaming reference. A huge one at that. No holding back on the references.

And if you want a hint as to the first name of the MC of this one, I guess I'll give one: His name spawns from the main antagonist of a PS2 game, and is an absolutely goated character, imo. A real storm that is approaching, if you catch my drift. *WINK* *WINK* *NUDGE* *NUDGE*

Bruh, I really can't wait for this one, AAAAA

(Location: The UBBA Reinyu BattleCenter Arena)

Blader J: ...And Uzakyo Hazamada wins the third round, with two spin finishes in a row!

Uzakyo: *winks* How nice, nya! Thanks for letting me win! <3

Sakeshi: *livid* W-what?! I- I didn't let you win!

(Uzakyo only giggles, and skips off the stage, leaving an enraged Sakeshi on the stage. Sakeshi gives her a nasty glare before stomping off the stage, and leaving)
Akira: Interesting. She used quite the psychological approach to defeat Sakeshi.

Queran: *mesmerized* Yeah... Quite the approach...

Xeno: *mutters* Sounds like a "simp" to me...

Queran: Huh? What'd you say?

Xeno: Oh, nothing.

Akira: Besides that, her Beyblade, Leopard, is quite the Stamina type. It acts way more like a stationary-Attack type, though...

Xeno: By a "stationary-Attack type", you meant the way Leopard chipped all of the stamina that Sakeshi's bey had when it attacked Leopard in the center? Both times?

Akira: Indeed. I really didn't think such a concept could be so effective...

Blader J: And now, the fourth round! It's Hirohiko Muzan, versus Azaki Kazekunai!

(We skip ahead in the battle, totally NOT because the author of this series wants to get on with the tournament, so the actual plot for the series can take place. What did you think?)

Hirohiko: Go, Diamond! Let's win this!

Azaki: Crimson!

(Hirohiko's Diamond, and Azaki's Crimson head at each other for one last violent clash. As they meet, they repel each other, and go flying. Crimson hits the stadium wall, saving it, but Diamond soars clear over the opposing stadium wall)
Hirohiko/Azaki: *gasps*

(Diamond lands on the ground just seconds before Crimson runs out of spin)
Blader J: And Azaki Kazekunai wins the fourth round, with a ring-out finish!

Azaki: O- oh... I'm sorry, Hirohiko. I-

Hirohiko: *grins* Don't be! You won fair and square, Azaki. You deserve this win!

(Azaki blushes lightly as Hirohiko holds out his hand for her to shake it, as a form of sportsmanship. She accepts his hand, and there was a sudden round of applause)

Blader J: What a show of true sportsmanship! Truly, amazing!

(As the two part, and walk off the stage, Xeno can't help but notice how suspiciously joyful Hirohiko appeared to be)

Xeno: *shakes head* Yare yare daze...

Akira: It's your turn now, Xeno.

Xeno: Oh, right!

(Xeno's jitters that he had been having the full duration of the tournament intensifies, and he begins to overthink things)
Queran: *worried* You okay, Xeno?

Xeno: ...

Queran: Xe-

Xeno: Yeah, I'm good.

Blader J: For the fifth round, we have Sayoko Iwasaki and Xenophon Gatsuo!

Xeno: *swallows nervously* ...

Akira: Good luck.

Queran: Yeah!

Xeno: *tries to smile* T-thanks.

(Xeno and Sayoko Iwasaki walk up to the stadium)

Xeno: *thoughts* Oh jeez... If I lose here, what'll Akira think?! Especially after he spent so much time tutoring Queran and I...

Sayoko: Hey, kid! Get your head in the game!

Xeno: "!"
(Xeno snaps out of his breakdown, surprised at her comment)

Xeno: Oh, uh- sorry.  

Sayoko: Tch-!

(The two bladers get out their gear and get ready for a battle. Somehow, when Xeno attached Xanthus to his launcher, Xeno's feelings start to gradually level out. Xeno notices this familiar change)

Xeno: *thoughts* It's happening again, like when I battled Dai. I wonder- could Xanthus be having more of an effect on me than I had previously thought?

Blader J: Ready, Set!

(Xeno gets into a standard launching stance, while Sayoko has a more unique stance, where she bends her knees slightly, and twists to the left)
Akira: Seems like she's been working harder this year- Xeno's better be careful.

Audience/Blader J: 3, 2, 1, GO, SHOOT!

(Sayoko jumps up, and twists her upper body to the right, spinning herself mid-air clockwise before she launches)
Xeno: "!"

(Xanthus and Sayoko's bey hit the stadium at the same time. Sayoko's Defense type bey does a wide elliptical orbit around the center, while Xanthus zooms around the stadium)

Xeno: Go! Xanthus!

(Xanthus swoops down the slope upon Sayoko's bey and collides with it. Both beys continue to press against each other, until one of Xanthus's blades catches on one of Sayoko's downward-facing blades, which "pushes" Xanthus down, and flings it up and over the stadium wall in an instant)

Xeno: W- wha?!

Blader J: WOW! Sayoko Iwasaki takes the first round with an instant ring-out finish! The score is one to zero!

Xeno: How? It was so fast...

Sayoko: *points menacingly* I'll only say this... My Beyblade is the perfect counter to stereotypical Attack types like yours!

Akira: So, that means that it's a Defense type! She must've changed her typing preference, because last year she used a Stamina type! Xeno's in way more trouble than I'd have thought.

Queran: That way she repelled Xanthus was weird though- It's like Xanthus suddenly took a dive and went flying in a split-second!

Akira: I've got just the thing for this situation...

(Akira pushes his mechanical monocle down to his eye, and it appears to act like a camera, adjusting periodically)

Akira: Hm. That's interesting...

Queran: What're you doing?

Akira: My headgear can help me with examining Beyblades, in the form of Augmented Reality. It sends the data that it gets from scanning a Beyblade back to my laptop, which I've brought...

(Akira reaches into his backpack and pulls out a small laptop that has a holographic screen. He boots it up, and it displays a 3D hologram replica of Sayoko's bey)

Akira: *points at the screen* See? It's got four blades that abnormally curve downwards, rather than upwards. I think that what we saw was an effect of those blades pushing down Xanthus, essentially countering it. It's rather genius, in my opinion.

Queran: *confused, but trying not to show it* O-kay... So how does Xeno counter it back?

Akira: Well, Xanthus focuses mostly upon Smash Attack, and dabbles slightly in the Upper Attack range.

Queran: So?

Akira: The chances of him winning are pretty low, going in the way he did again. Xeno's at a huge type disadvantage too. Defense against Attack match ups usually end with the Defense type winning, seventy-eight percent of the time...

Queran: Oof... Isn't there anything we can do to help him though?

Akira: *shakes head* Nope. The rules prohibit us from helping him in any way, while he's in a match anyways. We can only hope that he figures out a solution, and fast.

(Xeno clutches his launcher tighter as his mind races to find a solution to his current predicament)
Xeno: *thoughts* I've gotta figure out a way of how to end this in my favor... But how?

(Location: Reinyu BattleCenter Arena)

Blader J: Second round! Ready, Set!

(Xeno begins to panic, and chills run up and down his spine)
Xeno: *thoughts* I've got nothing! It's just not enough time to make up a new plan! I- I-

(All of the sudden, Xanthus begins to glow warmly in his hand, and Xeno notices)
Xeno: "!"

(Suddenly, Xeno is washed over with a sense of relief, and security)
Xeno: *thoughts* It's so strange... I felt so helpless only seconds ago, and now I feel as if someone's standing right next to me, guiding me towards victory-

Blader J/Audience: 3, 2-

(Xeno takes a deep breath)

Blader J/Audience:  1-

(Xeno slowly crouches low, and assumes a similar launching stance to his brother's)
Sayoko/Akira/Queran: "!"

Xeno/Blader J/Audience: GO, SHOOT!!!

(Xeno successfully does Bell's launch, and his shooting power increases so much, that Xanthus's rotation is heard very briefly before it hit the stadium slightly before Sayoko's bey)

Akira: He- he dd it?!

Queran: He changed his shooting stance to be like Bell's?!

(Xanthus swiftly zooms around the stadium, as Sayoko's bey does the same wide orbit around the center)

Xeno: Let's win this, Xanthus! Together, we can't lose!

(Xanthus's outlines glow a bright neon green. Suddenly, it zooms up the stadium, and attaches to the stadium ridge, and suddenly "disappears")
Sayoko: W-what?!

(Sayoko panics as she looks about the stadium for Xanthus, but can't find it)
Sayoko: Tch-! Amaterasu, take the center, now!

(Sayoko's Amaterasu heads for the center and takes it. However, a clang-like sound of Xanthus hitting the stadium wall is heard as Amaterasu does, and suddenly Xanthus is "visible" once again, and is heading directly for Amaterasu at break-neck speed)

Sayoko: What?! Impossible! How'd it-

(Xanthus collides with Amaterasu as it took the center, taking Sayoko by surprise. Amaterasu manages to do a slight counter on Xanthus by trying to push it down with its blades, but gets flung way over the stadium wall, and hits the ground)
Xeno: *surprised* H-huh? I won...?

Blader J: Whoa! What a comeback! Xenophon Gatsuo takes the second round with a ring-out finish! The score is now one to one!

Queran: N-no way! Xeno blew her away with that one hit?! He really managed to upgrade his power with that new launch!

Akira: Impressive. Though I think there was a bit more to it than just his sudden change in launch style...

Sayoko: ...!

(Sayoko bends down to snatch her Beyblade from the ground, and as she got back up, Amaterasu bursts spontaneously in her hand)

Sayoko: Tch!

(Xeno also grabs his Beyblade from the stadium)
Xeno: *thoughts* I wonder, if that feeling before was real. If it was, then I wonder if it was Xanthus who "stood beside" me. And that power... It felt amazing!

(Xanthus glints briefly in Xeno's hand, and he looks at it with astonishment)

Xeno: Hm.

Blader J: Third round! Ready, Set!

(Sayoko clenches her hand that is currently holding her Amaterasu tightly, as she re-attaches it to her launcher)

Blader J/Audience: 3, 2, 1, GO-

Blader J/Audience/Xeno/Sayoko: SHOOT!!!

(Sayoko and Xeno both do the same launches as the last battle, only this time they both tilted their launchers slightly. Xanthus and Amaterasu hit the stadium, and Xanthus goes around the stadium, slightly slower, and Amaterasu takes the center, instantly.)

Sayoko: I won't lose to you here! Amaterasu!

(Amaterasu suddenly begins to use that tilted launch to its advantage, tilting itself on its side, for extra defense)

Xeno: "!"

Sayoko: *smirks* You won't be able to get through this defense this time, kid!

Xeno: Is that so? But it seems like it's not just you who has a secret "trap card" up their sleeve...

(Xanthus also utilizes its tilted launch, and goes on a rampaging flower pattern launch on Amaterasu suddenly, which Sayoko merely scoffs at)
Sayoko: So, you really are dumber than I originally thought! This "trap card" of mine was made specifically for attack patterns like those!

(Amaterasu's tilted axis constantly deflects Xanthus's devastating barrage of attacks, making them do little damage to Amaterasu's spin)

Sayoko: I guess that win before was a fluke! You'll just run out of spin, and I'll be the one moving on to the next part of the tournament!

Xeno: ...
(Xeno's face remains as if it was set in stone, with a shadow covering his eyes)

Queran: C'mon, Xeno... You've gotta think of something-

(Xanthus continues to be deflected by Amaterasu)

Sayoko: You might as well quit while you're ahead. After all I'm-

Xeno: See- that's where you're missing the point of my attacks.

Sayoko: Huh?

Xeno: I'm not attacking you just for the sake of attacking you... Just look a bit closer.

(With each deflection that Amaterasu does, Xanthus is being pushed farther and farther up the slope, and is getting gradually faster)
Akira: It's getting faster! It can't be- He's aiming for that?!

Sayoko: "!"

Xeno: Now you see it.

Sayoko: S-so you're getting farther away from me, as well as getting faster? So what?

(Suddenly, Xanthus swoops down once again on Amaterasu, but this time, it actually lands a hit behind Amaterasu, on the unprotected side)
Sayoko: *gasps*

Xeno: *smiles* That's what I was aiming for.

Queran: W- what happened? How'd he lands a direct hit on Amaterasu?

Akira: He noticed that he wasn't he only one whose spin was gradually being lowered, but Amaterasu's was as well! It's inevitable, after all! So, he tried to break out of Amaterasu 's spin cycle, and actually used the split-seconds of constant stalling at the top of the slope to eventually catch Amaterasu's weak point!

Sayoko: *shocked* N- no way-

Xeno: Now, you're done!

(Xanthus continues its barrage upon Amaterasu's un-protected side, and ends up bursting Amaterasu with one final slam)
Xeno: YES!

Blader J: WOW! And Xenophon Gatsuo manages to snap out of Amaterasu's impossible pattern, and won the third round, but also the Fifth Round of the Qualifiers, with a burst finish!

Sayoko: No... I was so close to winning.
(Sayoko walks out of the arena without taking her Amaterasu)

Xeno: H-hey! Wait up! You forgot something!

(Xeno walks over to her, holding Amaterasu's bursted pieces in his hands)
Xeno: Here. This is yours.

(Sayoko stubbornly turns away from Xeno)
Sayoko: I don't care about it anymore.

Xeno: Come on. You did end up giving me a pretty hard time in the beginning! Don't give up now, with all that potential that you have.

(Xeno holds Amaterasu out to her)
Sayoko: *near tears* What- what would you know about potential?!

Xeno: *taken aback* H-hey...
(Sayoko suddenly whips around, and snatches Amaterasu out of Xeno's outstretched hand, and to his surprise, she runs out of the Arena)

Xeno: *bewildered* Huh?

(Akira walks up to Xeno and puts a reassuring hand upon his shoulder)
Akira: She'll be fine. Probably...

Xeno: You sure? She looked like she was about to burst into tears there...

Akira: Yeah! What matters is that you won!

Xeno: I guess I did, but now it doesn't feel like a win...

(Akira pauses for a few seconds before changing the subject)
Akira: Well, uh- Queran's match is up now. Let's go cheer him on!

Xeno: Right.

(The two turn back towards the Arena, and Xeno looks back for a couple of seconds, before we fade to black)
