Host: The Supreme One

LocationThis event will be held indoors at the Baltimore Science Fiction Society
[Image: 1YQygRH.png]

Time: As the tournament will start promptly at 12:00pm, please plan to arrive around 11:00am when registration will begin. Registration will close at 11:45am. If the participant cap has not been met at this time, waitlisted players will be offered a spot. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.

Prizes: Due to WBO funds currently being put on hold, prizes will not be offered at this event (fortunately this also means no entry fees!)

Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 12:00 PM and is expected to run for about 3 hours, though if there is a large turnout it may take longer. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

Best of luck to all the beybladers in your community!
Attention Bladers! This is a Zero-G format tournament!

Do not show up with only Burst Parts; you will be unable to participate! Read the Zero-G Rules! Almost every Metal Fight Beyblade part is permitted! The only ban is the combination of F230 and CF or F230 and GCF.

NO BURST!
See, this is what I'm talking about. I know two of you registered didn't have any Burst Classic parts, so the idea that you might have Metal Fight Beyblade parts seems unlikely too. Let's try this:

RedBu11 Do you actually own any MFB beys that can be used in this tournament format?

Confirmed with TSO that the two Spriggans have MFB parts apparently.

If you're confused about what MFB is (see: this giant wiki list of products released under it https://beyblade.fandom.com/wiki/List_of...e_products) you might want to skip registering for this tournament.
I wonder if we can have a little rule for the finals of this tournament, we allow synchrome beys.

Or two warrior wheels together.

It's Zero-G format. Maybe you should actually read the rules. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OIFE...sp=sharing

Synchromes are already allowed.
Didn't know the rules updated

No worries! It’s actually always been that way for Zero-G - all Metal Wheels are allowed in this format Smile
Yet again, can you combine the metal wheels?
(Feb. 07, 2020  8:58 PM)Staron Wrote: Yet again, can you combine the metal wheels?

Well, everyone else is allowed to in ZeroG, as the linked rules have stated. Can you?
Ok, just wondering, because that kinda makes the Bey really powerful, and kinda broken
Let me be absolutely clear:

In ZeroG, you can use:

Pre-HWS
HWS/4D Wheels with Energy Rings
ZeroG Wheels with ZeroG Wheels
ZeroG Wheels with Crystal Wheels.

If it's a legal combination for the Beyblade, it's fine. If it's not, we'll let you know. If you somehow manage to combined two HWS wheels with each other on a single facebolt, that'd be an example of an illegal combination.

Why don't you give an example of something you're trying to determine is legal or not?
Looking forward to next week. I’ll be selling standard and limited beys (including a few synchroms) for anyone who doesn’t have any on hand!
I will be there, hope everyone is ready, let's begin!

Great tournament!! Thank you
Thanks for coming out everyone! We had 15 people today & everything went extremely smoothly, finishing up in just 2 hours Smile

1st - The Supreme One
2nd - Geetster99
3rd - OnTheDL
4th - turtlspriggan
Yesterday was an extremely busy Beyblade day! Thanks to the venue once again for having us! Thanks to all the parents for bringing their bladers! Thanks to all the bladers for showing up! Thanks to the judges and organizers! And thanks to the balders for getting killed by mistletoe???

- We had 15 people total yesterday, so we had to run Double Round Robin. Easily the worst format, since a single difference in Beyrank ordering can completely change up your opponents. Round Robin is preferable, but would take forever with 15. Swiss is always better.

- I was in the group that got to have 6 matches each. I did reasonably well for my first ZeroG tournament with my own parts. I went 4-2. My two losses were to TSO and Geetster. No surprises there, both are just... way better at MFB and the beys I picked were essentially inferior versions of the beys they brought. Can't win em all! Grin

- BSFS will be unavailable for Beyblade events for the next couple of months. They're having a handicap access ramp installed, and then are setting up to run Balticon 2020. We'll be back there again in a couple of months!

- ZeroG is a fun format, but not one that people are readily familiar with. We had to explain to bladers not to touch the stadium while it was in motion. Also, most of the people who showed up hadn't read the rules and understood them, they just saw the words "Beyblade Tournament" and immediately stopped reading any and all clarifying details. Well, I'm used to that by now.

- I decided to forego using the caution tape yesterday. A mistake. Orange cones are apparently not enough to keep bladers from entering the tournament match area.

- The other judges and organizers had beys for sale for the format, but they kept putting them on a table where you had to walk through the orange cones to get to them. I see we need to have a talk about this! We need to put beys for sale somewhere that doesn't cause bladers to walk directly into the tournament match area.

- If a judge is in the middle of a match or running a tournament or otherwise busy with something, do not interrupt them and try to talk to them. Especially not if your questions aren't important. If you're just trying to say hey, or ask if they want to beyblade battle, or invite them to some other event, maybe save that for when they aren't currently busy making the tournament happen. Once the tournament begins, the judges and organizers shouldn't be spoken to unless you have an extremely good reason or an extremely important question and they aren't currently busy.

- We only had a couple of noshows, and the tournament didn't cap. So, it's bad, and I'll tell the people who noshowed without explanation not to do it again, but no warning percentage for this one if it's a second offense.

- Don't touch other people's beyblades and beyparts without permission. Don't disassemble the beys being sold without permission. You should have been taught better than this.

- Don't litter. Clean up after yourself. If you litter, you might be asked by the venue not to come back.

Overall a good and fun tournament!

Overall a good and fun tournament!

Sounds like a fun time! I definitely am looking into coming to an eastern US tourney, just that 8 hour drive is a large annoyance. I quite enjoy your small tournament reports. It gives me something to read during the strike days for school up here in the old Canada. Beyblade East 2020 is on my wish this year for tournaments. Just hope I can convince my parents to do it. Also wishing to hopefully see some of the east coast US bladers at Beyblade North 2020

We’d love to have you join us one of these days! Let us know if you’re able to visit & we can plan a full weekend to make it worth your while Smile
