But Ray was overrated at the time. Between the two, though, Ray has better Attack.

You wouldn't have anything worth building HMS-wise. And because your Flame Wing is broken, it's illegal, so that's out of the picture. As for everything else, you should head on over to the "Plastics A&Q" thread in the Beyblade General forum.

Even though it's broken, it has a LOT of smash attack. I'm not trying to do it competitively (tournaments), I'm just doing it for having fun at home, so to me, it does'nt matter if it's illegal or not, that just means I can't use it at a tournament. BTW, when I mean the jumping base is screwed up, i mean that it can't change tips and It's stuck in the ball mode.

RDF is more for pure defense. Maybe he suggested CS because he wanted a hint of stamina in it.

Well JStars, asked for Defense, so technically you should give him the best combo he has for that category, therefore being Death Kerbecs BD145 RDF. Also, although Gravity Perseus BD145 RDF may be a good combo, he didn't ask for a Spin-Equalizer.
