Happy 8th WBO Anniversary!

On Saturday, January 7th, 2017 there will be a Beyblade event in the Arbutus Public Library Meeting Room in Baltimore, MD. The Library has plenty of free, nearby parking spaces so parking should not be an issue. One of the conditions of using the library as a venue is that we are not allowed to charge fees for participants, so while this means that the tournament is free entry, the purchase or sale of Beyblades or parts at this event is prohibited.

There will be two tournaments: Burst Format and MFB Limited. Although myself and several other Bladers will be able to answer questions at the event, please familiarize yourself with the rules for both formats!
Registration begins at 11:00 AM, with the MFB Limited tournament beginning at noon. The Limited tournament is expected to run until about 1:30 or 2:00 PM, and after it is concluded the Burst tournament will begin. The event is expected to end at around 4:00 PM.

There will be Beyblades and Launchers available to borrow at the event if needed.

Man, six confirmed participants apparently. I really, really hope that you guys get enough people or can at least grab a store employee or one or two friends to tag along so that you get enough for a full, ranked tournament. Otherwise, at least you can have fun with a big Club Format event, which is not bad at all. Good luck to everyone!

not everyone has hit the join tournament button but they are on the list in the thread. it looks like about 12
Oh cool, hopefully everyone shows up hah.
I think I'm gonna go. I haven't gone to a beyblade tournament in 5 years. It better not be filled with little kids.
Our first tournament today was Limited, where we had all of the same participants as the Burst tournament, as well as new users COSMICSMASH1224 and LegendaryGas (they had to leave before the Burst tournament began), for a total of 11 participants.

1: Sniper, continuing his Limited first place streak with a fourth straight tournament win!
2: geetster99, who used almost exclusively the same 3 combos the entire tournament!
3. OnTheDL, who finished in first place at the end of the preliminary Round Robin with a 9-1 record!

Here is the spreadsheet. I invented spreadsheets by the way.

Limited Deck Rotation was interesting to say the least, and I actually made a mistake in the finals regarding repeat parts - both geetster99 and OnTheDL used their Duo Cancer and Burn Cancer combos in the same deck. As I was busy trying to explain the whole rematching/switching procedure to the other finalists, and since Clear Wheels are generally the most inconsequential part of the combo, it totally escaped my notice until later...

We actually changed the clear wheel on the duo combo to aquario for deck
Wow, nice to know that you got more than enough players.

Ok cool. Glad to know someone was paying attention.

Funny story about that... I was so focused on trying to run the tournaments in a timely fashion that taking the group photo slipped my mind. However, there are a few pictures that were taken during the event, and I know Yami has plenty of footage of the matches that he will upload on YouTube, so hopefully that should be enough proof that this event actually happened.

I couldn't make it, but when is the next tournament? Is it monthly like 5 years ago? also what are the prizes and what place gets what.
Wait, I'm confused on this metal fight limited thing. In the rules it says you can't use 4d parts, but people are are using 4d parts? then it's not limited? I hope so because It would suck if 4d beyblades are banned.
It must have been the Hasbro Metal Fury versions, which are nerfed and hollowed out, therefore being legal in the Limited format?

only Takara'/Sonokong's 4D Wheels and HyperBlades 4D Wheels of Hasbros are banned (Except Jade). Hasbro released a hollow version of 4D (that was called metal fury Spark FX)  which are much lighter and lot differant then normal 4D (for example they can't change modes). Due to there light weight and much less "destructive" performance they are legal to use in LTD
