Kappa Mikey - Litrid - Nov. 21, 2007

this is show is not your typical anime, but it shows all the things that anime can do. the main character is not Japanese, but its funny cuz hes an America cartoon and the rest is in Anime I like the show. The opening is addictive to sing Hey Hey You You! Down in the streets! Don't you see the man hes KAPPA MIKEY!!! ah I love it.

RE: Kappa Mikey - lucha5 - Nov. 21, 2007

RE: Kappa Mikey - Elmo - Nov. 21, 2007

its amiracan anime

RE: Kappa Mikey - Elmo - Nov. 21, 2007

Anime is Japanese. If it's made in the west, then it's not an anime.

If you have to call it something, call it.........a pseudo-anime Smile

The opening is addictive for a very good reason. It's actually done by a big Japanese band called Beat Crusaders. They are the music behind the BECK anime.

They have made fun of like every anime possible and its really good if you understand the jokes in it. Like the doctor Takashi... who has his parabolic head band at an angle covering one of his eyes A la Kakashi.^^

RE: Kappa Mikey - Ichida - Nov. 21, 2007

It's what Teen Titans is - a non-anime cartoon that mimics anime styles and techniques. The only difference is Kappa Mikey is done in somewhat of a parodial context. I still find it absolutely hilarious.

The Beat Crusaders, notorious for many American song covers, did other notable songs such as Bleach's fourth OP, "Tonight Tonight Tonight."

RE: Kappa Mikey - mdhvdukshsj - Nov. 21, 2007

why is anime being used as the example of good here

True, but they also use Japanese opening's and songs in it. But all of their's is Puffy Ami Yumi. I love Gonard I mean how the hell do they make him THAT stupid... It's genius.

RE: Kappa Mikey - Bey Brad - Nov. 22, 2007

I watched this, and really didn't find it funny. My friend loves it though.

Which is funny because he became a genius in one episode, like every stupid protagonist does in virtually every cartoon ever. XD

I know I saw it. Via a radioactive sandwich. But he's still the funniest member of the crew by FAR!

RE: Kappa Mikey - Litrid - Nov. 22, 2007

Yeah he is funny, but I like Guano. My fav episode is the birthday party one with the Chums. WERE THE CHUMS!!! CHUMMING IT UP!! sssssssssssssssssssssss LOL

RE: Kappa Mikey - Neko-Jin Rei - Feb. 11, 2008

That's a good show, because it's a satire of anime.

Well they had it on a weird time slot of Saturday at some point like 2pm? and the last thing I saw of it was this clip show of like the entire series. It was odd.

RE: Kappa Mikey - Psykick B - Feb. 12, 2008

Eh, It's a real "meh" show. If nothing else was on, I' watch it.
I like how Gonad has the same voice as Goku, though.(Sean Schemmel)

RE: Kappa Mikey - Train - Feb. 16, 2008

Yeah! Me and my friend recognized that. Now whenever we talk about this show, we say, like, "Kamehameha!!" XD
